Cool couple Gail and Chad were planning a '40s-themed wedding, so they decided to incorporate the same theme to their prenuptial shoot as well. Gail has a soft spot for that era and shares, "I love how glamorous they were with their hats, gloves, their carefully made up hair--everything! I just found it so lovely." And so it was that the couple decided to channel the ‘40s in photos, but they also added another fun element to their theme: aviation.
Chad's workplace, a domestic airport, proved to be the best backdrop for their chosen theme. The airport even had an aircraft from the 1940s, and it tied in perfectly with the concept. Luckily for Gail and Chad, they didn't have to secure any permits to shoot at the airport.
To make their '40s aviation-themed shoot work, the couple closely coordinated with Everywhere We Shoot, their stylist and photographer for the prenup session. Gail shares that she brought photo pegs of the look she wanted prior to the shoot, and the team instantly understood the couple's vision. Gail's sister, Bonsai Fojas of Bonne Head Candy, also had a hand in completing Gail's outfit, as she made the fascinators and hats which Gail wore during the shoot.
Gail says that before the shoot, the team gathered vintage props and clothes--they also held a dress rehearsal, where they took photos of the outfits so that they wouldn't forget the elements of each look. With such attention to detail, the couple and their team pulled off a concept that otherwise would have been tricky to execute.
