Both proud of their Igorot roots, Ethel and Jonie shared a love for things that reminded them of the country lifestyle: country music, cowboys, and horses, among others. Upon the suggestion of their photographer, Abel Baldemor, the couple pursued a Western theme for their prenuptial shoot.

The couple and their team drove from Baguio to Bokod, Benguet for the first leg of the shoot. The picturesque countryside provided the perfect backdrop for Ethel and Jonie's chosen theme, and the couple shot photos along the highway and on the suspension bridge.

The team then headed to Camp John Hay in Baguio for the second half of the prenuptial session. In keeping with the Western theme, the photographer shot photos of Ethel and Jonie as they went horseback riding.

While the postcard-worthy locations played huge roles in bringing the concept to life, costumes also proved to be just as helpful. Ethel and Jonie wore cowboy hats and cowboy boots to make the theme believable.
