Wanderlust and romance were what sparked inspiration for travelbugs Cacay and Rain when they were conceptualizing their prenuptial photo shoot. Staying true to their passion for travel, the lovers chose five different locations in Singapore for their photo session.
Their Singapore-based photographer and featured BridalBook bride, Josephine Sicad-Minerva, was a perfect fit for their shoot. Josephine was able to capture Cacay and Rain's romantic trip to Bedok Park, Tanjong Pagar, Train Station, Changi Airport, the City Hall grounds, and Marina Bay Sands. They realized that finding magical settings for a prenup shoot does not require a supernatural, bottomless budget. Cacay and Rain were able to choose beautiful locations that were open to the public, and where they can shoot free of charge.
It was like having five mini shoots, with the couple changing their wardrobe to suit each location. Casual and colorful clothes were used for the more relaxed locations, like the Bedok Park. Outfits of darker hues and more formal silhouettes were used for busy, urban locations like Changi Airport and the City Hall Area. Cacay and Rain styled themselves, and also used props to complete the atmosphere they wanted for the shoot. Luggage, paper planes and a vintage-style globe highlighted the travel theme.
"The idea was to show that we're a couple on the go, who constantly likes to travel around together," says Cacay. By adopting the stylish concept as chic travellers, Cacay and Rain were able to become their own picture-perfect version of modern-day explorers with nothing but romance on their itinerary.
