In ancient Greece and Rome, the bride and groom wore garlands of flowers to symbolize hope, fertility, and new life--this custom led to the present-day practice of brides carrying bouquets of flowers. Traditionally associated with Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love, roses have been incorporated in many weddings and used in many a bridal bouquet.

Roses come in a variety of colors, with each hue having a meaning of its own (red for love, pink for grace, yellow for joy and white for purity). Whatever color or meaning you choose to highlight in your own wedding, roses are a foolproof choice.

We've put together a gallery of rose bouquets used by some of the real brides we've featured. Find inspiration from these lovely arrangements!
