Wedding ceremony venues aren't limited to churches--some religions allow couples to get married in venues other than the church. Moreover, some couples opt to have secular ceremonies, which may also be held in other venues. Civil weddings don't have to be done in a courtroom either, as long as the officiant gives the couple permission to do so. Hotels
Hotels are popular venues for receptions, but some of them are equipped to handle wedding ceremonies as well. Bayview Park Hotel in Manila is one hotel that offers a civil wedding package. Other hotels may also serve as your ceremony venue even if this service isn't specified in their packages--one example of this would be the Hyatt Hotel & Casino. Getting married in a hotel poses a huge convenience for your guests, since they don't have to travel from the ceremony venue to the reception venue. You can even save on décor, too!
Beaches
Destination weddings--especially beach weddings--are all the rage both here and abroad. Our country is rich with beaches, so it shouldn't be too hard to find the perfect spot for tying the knot. Mactan, Cebu and Boracay are popular vacation (and wedding) destinations, but if you're planning to have your wedding somewhere a little quieter, you can try looking at Terrazas de Punta Fuego in Batangas, or in any of our less commercial beaches. A beach wedding gives you and your guests a laidback and worry-free atmosphere on the big day.
Gardens/Parks
You'd be surprised at the number of garden-type events venues that have cropped up over the years. You don't have to go all the way to Tagaytay or Baguio to be surrounded by natural flora--there are several places in and around the metro. Some of these venues are The Glass Garden in Pasig--an indoor garden venue, Gazebo Royale in Quezon City--a tropical-inspired garden with ponds and waterfalls, and Jardin de Miramar in Antipolo--a garden venue with a pergola where your service can be performed. You don't need to spend a lot on décor for these venues, since they already have a pleasant backdrop for your wedding.
Museums
It's uncommon here in the Philippines to hold wedding in a museum, but if you want to pay tribute to our culture and heritage, museums are great venues. The Lopez Museum in Ortigas holds small events, and they can accommodate a small, intimate wedding ceremony. Casa Manila in Intramuros has a patio outside the main museum, which they open up for events--you can even request them to put up a platform for your ceremony.
