Through photographs, we get to revisit memories that made us smile. It is in these handy keepsakes that we keep track of the wonderful changes that have happened in our lives.
Husband-and wife tandem of Ruffa and Mike offers a new perspective on wedding photography. By focusing on their techniques and execution, they have become one of the most efficient team in the industry.
Mike shares, "Before the big day, we to talk to the couple to remind them to be positive on their wedding day. Not only will their relaxed dispositions lead to a successful event, but their true emotions will also be reflected in their photographs."
According to the two, they usually arrive at least five hours before the ceremony. Mike narrates a typical coverage for the team. "While Ruffa is documenting the bride's preps, I on the other hand, shoot the details of the wedding. We know how important these details are, so we shoot them in an art-inspired manner. After this, our third photographer and I will photograph the groom, the groomsmen, and his family; then I'll go back to the bride's room to take her portraits. We make sure to shoot the bride, who's gorgeous in her gown, with her bridesmaids and family. And when we're done, we start to get ready to leave for the venue at least 30 minutes before the ceremony," he says.
The main goal of the team is to capture real emotions. "We want our photographs to narrate what really happened on that very day--like the dramatic bridal march, and the tears of joy shed by those who are present. We want the couple to never get tired of looking at the pictures we took," Ruffa shares.
After the ceremony, the team asks the couple to pose for them. Their portraits are what they display in oversized frames, so Ruffa and Mike make sure that each photo is taken with class and style, and exudes timeless romance.
At the reception, the team photographs the whimsical details, such as the setting and the decor. They also hand over the soft copies of the images taken to the couple, so they can see for themselves the beauty of their special day. It's also their way of securing backup copies of the photographs.
Lastly, Mike relays, "We capture raw emotions in once-in-a-lifetime events. We feel very blessed and grateful for we get to take part in couples' special moments to document their priceless memories that will last for many generations."
