A true artist is one who is in love with his or her craft, and a makeup artist is no different. Chiclette Adriano, pioneer of her own self-titled Makeup Artistry business, already had passion for makeup at a young age. "I have four female siblings, so every time we have events like weddings and debuts, we love to style our dresses. But [with every event], our makeup artist always caught my attention. I really love makeup," Chiclette shares.
Growing up to become an advertising professional, Chiclette had a busy schedule, but that didn't stop from growing in her craft. "I decided to get a diploma course [in] makeup artistry in 2010 while [I was] working," Chiclette shares. This opened a lot of doors for her business, allowing her to experience makeup work in the advertising industry. Before venturing into the wedding niche, Chiclette became well-versed in print, billboard, music videos, and corporate makeup.
"The aura and the mood of clients who [are] getting married or [are] having a debut is different," Chiclette reveals when asked why she ventured into the wedding industry. "I can feel the love and happiness of our clients." Truly, for Chiclette, the fulfillment gained from a satisfied and happy client goes far beyond monetary gain.
Putting value in quality, Chiclette makes sure that all her brides are radiant on their big day. She goes for a look that's absolutely stunning, but naturally beautiful. "I want her true beauty to be seen as realistic, clean, and timeless," Chiclette firmly says. Her favorite bridal look is natural, classic, and timeless, giving brides an enhanced glow on their big day.
Keeping her skills updated is an absolute must for Chiclette, with practice an important part of her routine. "Every year, I join workshops and attend various makeup trade shows here and abroad, such as the International Makeup Trade Show," she says. "I always take time to do research [and] give time to practice."
