Wedding photos are lifetime souvenirs of a couple's special day, which is why brides and grooms book a photographer whose photos can transport them back to one of the most important days of their lives. For photographer Benjie Tiongco, it is the impact of photos that drives him to do his best in each and every wedding he covers.

Benjie Tiongco Photography was established a year ago as Benjie wanted to further develop and showcase his own style of photography, and cater to more couples who like his way of shooting. "I like photos. I love capturing moments and preserving them. When I look at pictures, it takes me back to that time, and I remember all the things that were happening," shares Benjie. And while he takes photos of tender, candid moments, he is also known for his portraits, which people see as images worthy to be seen in magazine fashion editorials. His stylized portraits are rooted in his background in fashion photography. Back when he was just developing his craft, he took on minor advertising jobs.

Benjie has no trouble describing his style of photography. "[It's] modern, because I always strive for something new and unique for each wedding. [The] chic [look] probably comes from my fashion photography roots and inspiration. [It's also] timeless [because] photos are the closest we can get to time travel," Benjie explains.

Benjie says that aside from his diverse style, what sets his photography team apart is their brand of service that delivers more than what the contract dictates. "We're commended for the experience that the [couples] had. After the wedding, they always tell us how easy it was for them, how happy or beautiful they felt, [and] how special they [felt] during the wedding. [Our service] is an experience," says Benjie. Not only do his couples pay for albums and printed photos, but also for a one-of-a-kind opportunity.

To keep his style and skills updated, Benjie and his team regularly attend foreign photography workshops online. Aside from constantly honing his skills, Benjie also strives to reach a wider market by opening his service to the international wedding scene. As shown by the success of his coverage of a foreign wedding recently held in Boracay, which created buzz in foreign wedding blogs, Benjie sees a great potential in reaching a wider audience.
