A Filipino wedding ceremony comes with many practices and traditions, and among these is laying a cord looped in a figure-eight over the shoulders of the couple. The cord is a symbol of the couple's everlasting bond and love. Sometimes, it is also a way of giving reverence to the rosary, and it can be kept by the bride as a meaningful token after the wedding.
