When placing a reservation for the church, you are required to attend the couple's canonical interview with the parish priest or assistant. The interview is conducted so that the parish priest can get to know you and your husband-to-be better.
After attending the canonical interview, you will also have to attend the pre-wedding counseling session at the parish where you'll be married. The conductor of the seminar will share insights on how marriage can strengthen one's faith, and in some instances, married couples will offer their advice. This seminar may also include family planning methods allowed by the church. You and your groom are both expected to attend this pre-wedding seminar, so remember to inquire early about the seminar schedules.
