LOVE STORY
Angela and Patrick met as college freshmen at the De La Salle University, Manila. Their common friends made the introduction, but Patrick, a shy guy, hid behind his friends as he and Angela were being introduced. Something about Angela must have made torpe Patrick go out of his comfort zone, because after that fateful day, he and Angela started exchanging text messages. They started going out on dates until finally, the two became a couple.
After college, Angela's family had to move to Canada. The two made a commitment to keep the relationship going despite the distance.
In the end, their love proved its mettle. The miles between them didn't hinder them from forging a strong bond. In 2008, they found themselves on one of their beach trips. And Patrick made El Nido, Palawan all the more wondrous as he proposed to Angela on a romantic dinner there. Angela, overwhelmed with so much joy, took a good five minutes before she finally said yes.

WEDDING PREPARATIONS
Because of the time she spent in Canada, Angela had a penchant for all things French. She wanted a Parisian-themed wedding, and her wedding planner and coordinator, Ernest Pascual, did not disappoint.
While Angela shares that she would have wanted to do more DIY projects, it was Ernest who made sure that the wedding channeled the city of l'amour. Rich hues of red and purple accented with gold and black made the event the epitome of elegance. The Eiffel Tower, the famous French landmark, was incorporated in details like the invites, the souvenirs, and the cake. Red roses also made the reception venue romantic. Jo Claravall even prepared a special French boudoir for Angela and Patrick, where the couple lounged during the reception.
Angela shares that much of her wedding's success was because of Ernest. She advises brides to get suppliers that they feel comfortable with, because the suppliers should be able to understand the couple's vision. Even if she wasn't able to attend to all the details personally, Angela still got the wedding she envisioned for her and Patrick.
