BridalBook.ph turned a year old on May 4, 2011, and to mark the occasion, the BridalBook team hosted a tree-planting activity and a picnic-themed lunch at the La Mesa Eco Park in Quezon City.
BridalBook.ph has pledged to protect a hectare of the La Mesa Watershed, and the tree-planting affair was the first step to fulfilling that pledge. The activity was an apt symbolism for BridalBook.ph's story: a year ago, the team planted a seed by venturing in the wedding industry. Now, BridalBook has grown--and continues to grow--by nurturing relationships with various suppliers and marrying couples. As a way of giving thanks for the site's fruitful first year, the BridalBook team, brides, grooms, and wedding suppliers filled potting bags with soil, and planted and named seedlings at the Bahay Punlaan (potting shed).
Weeks ago, guests were informed of the eco-friendly event through the charming invites by Wingdingz, which came with sheets of Paperpod Seedpaper. At the event, guests beat the summer heat with refreshing fruit drinks from Swizzle Mobile Bar and bottled waters with customized BridalBook labels from Mimi Ferrera-Lazaro of Sasha Clothing International Co. Inc.
A sumptuous picnic-themed lunch and set-up by K. by Cunanan Catering awaited guests at the park's Ipil Pavilion. A macaron de Paris-laden three-tier fondant cake by Bizu Patiserrie was also served at the affair. Moreover, Bizu gave out packaged macaron de Paris as sweet reminders of BridalBook's first birthday. Poof Photo Booth provided a photo booth station for the guests, while Suigeneris took care of sounds during the event. During lunch, guests were serenaded by local artist Johnoy Danao.
In keeping with the earth-friendly theme, Paperpod Seedpaper provided bundles of WISHESGROW sheets for guests to take home. Amazing prizes from Suriya Spa, Sofitel Philippine Plaza, The Peninsula Manila, Theodore Hotel, and Thunderbird Resorts were also raffled off.
With the meaningful time spent with brides, suppliers, and fans, BridalBook has indeed shown how love grows.
