Best Liquid/Cream Foundation (thread 20)

Lately I've been loving Giorgio Armani Lasting Silk UV Foundation :-)

I'm very fair, maybe NC15 or lighter pa nga and I use shade #2.

This is, hands down, the best foundation I have ever tried. Too bad it's not available locally. I had to make pabili abroad.

It's matte but not flat. Long lasting when set lightly with powder (I use RCMA No Color Powder).

I used to think highly of my other everyday foundations  (MAC Face and Body, MAC Studiofix Powder, NARS Firming, Revlon Colorstay, Burjois Healthy Mix, L'Oreal Infallible, Maybelline Fit Me); I used to think na they're really good and I don't need to buy any of the higher end foundations but after using Lasting Silk for several days I realized how I was so wrong haha.

If you can get your hands on the GA Lasting Silk and you can find the right shade, I urge you to go buy one. It's really really worth it.

Curious ako dun sa new GA Power Fabric foundation. Mukhang maganda accdg to reviews, pero gusto ko rin ng Dior Forever hahaha daming gusto.

Meron ako dati nyang dior forever flawless pero parang diko naubos kasi parang mali yung shade ko. Ang naalala ko is amoy perfume yung foundie. LOL
Love ko na talaga itong Diorskin nude serum foundation. Buti mura sa preorder. ❤️❤️❤️

Im about to try GA Luminous.  Ano difference nya sa Lasting?

Since mauubos na yung isa kong foundation (Mac Studio Fix), gusto  ko bumili ng bagong liquid foundation na matte para perfect for our humis weather. Torn ako sa Too Faced Born This Way, Marc Jacobs Re(marc)able, Kat Von D Lock It and Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation. Kaso lahat online ko lang bibilhin and natatakot ako na mali yung shade na maorder  ko kasi sayang naman, mahal din sila. I'm NC20 sa Mac.

Iniisip ko tuloy kung repurchase ko na lang ulit ELDW. Di ko lang maalala yung shade ko dati. Before kasi Sand yung shade ko and then nung nagpurchase ako ulit, minatch ako nung head mua nia to a lighter shade and ms bet ko yun. Di ko lang maalala yung name ng shade, kaloka.

My shade is also NC20 and I'm Desert Beige in ELDW.

I still have to find another foundation that will match me perfectly like NC20 does. Meron ba kayo suggestions? I don't like Marc Jacobs Remarcable because I have dry skin. Nag-cling sa dry patches and it looked very cakey on me I don't like Born This Way as well. Baka mali lang yung shade ko.

^nagpa shade match ulit ako kanina sa EL counter. Warm Vanilla daw ako or Sand. NC20 ako. According dun sa SA, di daw available dito yung shade na desert beige. yun kasi agad hinanap ko ichecheck ko din sana.


I'm thinking of ordering the Giorgio Armani Power Fabric foundation. Nalilito lang ako sa shades. I'm NC20 and I'm thinking of getting the shade 4. Okay kaya yun? And may travel size na pala na GA Luminous Silk. ngayon ko lang nakita sa sephora. kaso mahal pa din $42.

I'm NC20 too and I use Sand in Double Wear, though sabi din sakin ng SA pwede din yung Warm Vanilla. Yun nga lang, sometimes I find it too warm na, even though it's a good match for my skin.

Mukhang promising yung bagong Yves Saint Laurent All Hours Full Coverage Matte Foundation. Matte na with blurring effects pa daw. Full coverage pero hindi daw kasing kapal sa face tignan compared sa ELDW. Ganda reviews sa YT. Nakakatempt. Actually nasa cart ko na siya haha.

Hanggang ngayon hindi ko pa rin alam kung ano talaga yung shade ko sa ELDW. 

sis wednesdei, are you a true neutral NC20? Ok nga yun sa Power Fabric 4 based on what I remember (swatched them last May). I have 4.5 and I'm NC20-25. Mas gusto ko siya kasi mas yellow. I want to try Crema Nuda next, but I'll wait until I can swatch them. Based on reviews, shade 3 tayo. x)

Excited din akong i-try yung YSL All Hours. BD30 siguro ako.  Also the primer and concealer!

^Yung Mac Studio Fix na NC20 okay naman siya for me pero medyo yellowish compared sa skin tone ko. Pero warm undertones naman ako (green yung veins ko eh).

 Yung ibang foundation kasi minsan kapag neutral undertone, super peachy naman kaya laging nagstistick ako sa yellow/warm undertones talaga.

I already tried both.  Not for my combi to dry skin. Between the two, i'll go GA Power Fabric.

Mukhang maganda yung bagong launch na foundation ng Pink Sugar. Nakakaengganyo tuloy bumili kasi comparable DAW sa MAC foundation

ELDW users, does ELDW accentuate dry patches? I'm having a hard time finding foundies that are flakey/peeling skin-friendly. Pa-recommend naman sissies medium to full coverage matte or satin that's suitable for said skin type that's also oily. I think Marc Jacobs Remarcable hindi pwede, sabi sa reviews it accentuates dry skin daw. TIA!

^ Max Factor Facefinity liquid. I don't use ELDW na that much kasi it accentuate my dry patches too. Minsan nalang when I needed something long lasting talaga.

Medium to full coverage, velvety yung texture niya, as in magaan lang din sa feeling and it doesn't accentuate dry patches. It's my HG foundation and I couldn't stop raving it, kahit pa na di siya high end (maarte ako sa foundation haha!)

I have oily and acne prone skin and kahit everyday ko siya gamitin di ako nagkaka pimples.

^ Oh wow.. Super similar tayo skin type sis, and also maarte din ako sa foundation haha! Will check the swatches and ma-try nga. So yung ELDW tolerable naman kahit papaano? Need one din kasi for special occasions eh.
