According to the opinion of TP, Politically inclined yung pag appoint kay Mark Villar to win the support of Cynthia Villar in the senate. Pwedeng si Cynthia ang kunin pero that would affect other political decisions. 

As for Mark Villar's credential, I don't think naman na kapag DPWH secretary ka ay dapat Engineer ka or something. Katulad ng sabi ni mayor duterte dati, kukunin nya sa cabinets or ibang agency ng government yung may mga experience sa private institutions. For Mark Villar, I think malaki din ang involvement nya sa real estate development business nila which is necessary for DPWH projects. Like real estate development business, hindi naman need na ang CEO ay engineer din, di ba? Kasi yung CEO sila yung kukuha ng magagaling na engineers para sa planning at execution ng projects.

nakakalungkot lang malaman na yung ibang supporters ni Mar eh hindi pa rin makamove -on sa pagkatalo niya. nagconcede na nga si Mar. Nakaabang lang sila jan, waiting for Duterte to fail para lang maprove nila mali ang binoto ng majority at ang manok nila ang dapat.

sana magkaisa na lang, support na lang kung sino nanalo. My parents voted for Poe, same with my other friends na si Miriam ang binoto pero now na si Duterte na ang pres eh support pa rin sila. wala na silang bitterness. and sa mga news ngayon, at sa mga batas na ipapatupad ni Mayor sa Pinas ay natutuwa at eexcite sila para sa Pinas. Nararamdaman nila na may HOPE sa duterte admin.

honestly, ang hirap makalimot sa paninira nila kay duterte during the campaign. yung pag deposit pa nila ng PhP500 and USD10 sa accounts ni duterte. ano yun, magkalimutan na lang? when really, that act spoke so much of how they are as politicians. anyways, im trying to forget since hinde naman sila nagtagumpay.

i unfollowed a friend too. just now. kasi may reklamo sya sa lahat ng mga plano ni duterte. sa dami ng mga pagbabagong pinaplanong gawin ng kampo ni duterte, yung sa curriculum pa talaga sya nagfocus. sinabi yun ni duterte december pa so haven't heard kung ipapatupad nya talaga yun. sana hinde naman.

Nahilo ako dito. Haha. So good move ang pagkuha kay Villar as DPWH? Tama ba?

^sis sa pagkakaintindi ko it's a strategic move, kailangan niya ng mga kakampi. May threat din kasi ng impeachment. The other day during the presscon, PDPLaban and Nacionalista party formed a coalition, a coalition for change. Mayor Duterte's appointment of mark villar in a position is somewhat an exchange for NP's support in congress. Now the house speakership is under him and the congress under his control, laws that he wants passed, changes he wants to make, the con-con/ con-ass and everything will go smoothly. Sa ngayon ang majority yata ang LP kaya may possiblity na pahihirapan talaga siya ng mga yan. I heard may ibang malalaking political parties na makikipag alyansa pa sa kanya. Ito sariling opinion ko lang naman.

For me naman,baka pwedeng sa ibang ahensya na lang ilagay si mark villar wag lang sa dpwh.. kasi may conflict of interest talaga eh..

According to atty. Macalintal hindi magiging madali kay Villar na maupo as DPWH head kasi nanalo siya as congressman sa Las Pinas, nasa law daw na need muna ng 6 mos maupo before umalis, kung hindi pwede siya kasuhan.

Tska dami din nagalit na mga taga Las Pinas and isa na daw dun si atty. Macalintal, kasi binoto siya ng mga tao dun dahil sa promise niya na magsisilbi sa mga tao ng Las Pinas, naniwala daw ang mga tao tapos ngayong nay offer daw sa kanya na mas mataas basta basta na alng daw iiwan ang Las Pinas.

^ I guess one has to be open din of the changes to appreciate them. If we are only prone to criticism, we would miss on being grateful for the good things around us.

I've been working overseas for 8 years+ now. The first year, yes, I went into a comparison phase. But after 8 years, I do see improvements. Sa NAIA pa lang which I am embarrassed before na ang dumi dumi and pangit, they really needed that Worst Airport title para lang kumilos to renovate the airport. So yes, nakakainis yan. But I also noticed the positive change which is less corruption sa immigration and Customs. Result is faster processing na ng lahat. 8 years ago, it takes me an hour or more to get out of the airport after the landing time. Kaya I would tell my dad to fetch me an hour after para hindi ganun maghintay. Ang tagal ng pila sa immigration, ng labas ng bags and ang customs dami tanong sa baggage mo kasi naghahanap sila ng makokotong. For someone who flies home every other month, it's really a waste of time. Lalo na, time is always very important for me.

Since last year, I've been timing my arrivals. It takes me now only 15-20 mins after I land to get out of the airport. Pag madaling araw flight ko, it is even shorter. I also have asked my dad now to come only 10 mins after my landing time. Sa Immigration pa dati, pag napila ako sa lalake, mahilig magpasaring about looks and worse, some even flirting. Or yun iba mahilig makipag-kwentuhan with other officers sa harap mo or magpapakita ng aburido nya. Kaya tumatagal pila. Ngayon, immigration officers are very, very professional! Customs din hindi na nang ha-harass. That's why marami man nakakainis sa airport like tanim-bala and its aesthetic part, may mga bagay naman ako na thankful for. And this is based on consistent experience because I fly home so many times a year.

I've had better luck pa pala when I go back home because it doesn't take me an hour naman to exit the airport 8 years ago, so that might be a good thing I think. Yes there are one or two changes at NAIA, but it's rather superficial. They have upgraded the aesthetics of the terminal only after it was continuously tagged as the worst airport in the world. If it wasn't for this, I don't think they'll do anything. There are still a lot of unprofessional and rude IO's and you will always see them on your departure especially when they talk to ladies na kasambahay types.

Quite frankly, the improvements on the airport is nothing compared to other pressing issues there - which is safety. Safety against scams, corrupt, unprofessional and power tripping IO's and luggage theft. What I don't really like when I go back is the feeling that I'm not safe in my own country. The thing that I HATE the most is, ultimo sa airport pa lang, worried na ako. I feel scared and nervous instead of being happy and excited to be back home. Hindi makatarungan yun. May kilala akong pinagpaliban ang pag uwi dahil lang sa takot sa laglag bala.

I've only cited NAIA as an example. The country is getting worse, there's no denying that. Only the elites are experiencing whatever improvements there are in the land. But what about the general population? That's why I'm happy and relieved that Duterte won. He seem to know and he understand the plight of the majority. And finally, I'm hopeful again for the country.
