i am also happy to see that duterte's camp seems to be seriously considering the responsibilities of the presidency. i admire their transparency too as they are letting the people know their action plans in fulfilling what they have promised during their campaign. filipinos deserve this.

and i hope he will really fulfill his promise to make FOI an executive order. at dapat he will appoint trustworthy people sa COA (under ba ng department of Finance ang coa?) and DBM. after working for more than 10 years sa finance & accounts industry, di ko talaga maintindihan bakit hinde nahuhuli sa audit ang mga graft and corruption sa gobyerno natin.

saw a post from Ms. Lea Salonga on twitter ata na share nya rin sa FB it was originally posted by Joey Javier Reyes..

it was about moving on and supporting the President Elect as the people have already chosen. and when you curse the incoming president its like cursing your country into doom.

hope somebody can post it here..

I just hope instead of bashing pa sino nanalo, lets just all help to build our country. But i must admit even now marami pa rin ang di makamove on sa feeds ko. I just hope they would understand and realize that after the election their loyalty to the candidates they supported should end and their loyalty to the country should start. Instead of ranting why not just try to make the current admin a successful one. Magtulungan tayo.

But i am still hoping na they would realize na we need to help our government to rebuild our country.

i guess some people are just into their election bets, not really into their country.

i remember when gordon lost last election, naging bitter din ako. sobra hahaha! but well, as posted before, i had to suck it all up and hope for the best. though i express my dislike on the current admin, which i believe is reasonable naman, never kong inisip na ma-impeach sya or naisip na sana pumalpak sya. but to be honest, i have lost my hope for a better philippines. i am an ofw and for the past 6 years, ilang beses na akong nakauwi kasi almost 3x a year ako nagbabakasyon pero talaga mga sisses, everytime umuuwi ako, the situation in our country is getting worse. sa airport palang, grabe na. at karamihan sa lugar sa pilipinas, mas dumami mga tambay, batang adik. mas marami na ring mga manloloko sa labas ng airport. hinde naman to haka2x ko lang. naririnig ko sa mga balita or kwento ng mga kapwa ko ofw. and grabe, ang mga daan laging inaayos. promise, sa ilang beses akong umuwi, hinde ko pa nasubokan na walang inaayos na daan. yung inaayos nung pagbalik ko sa abroad, yun pa din inaayos sa next uwi ko hahaha. walang katapusan!

kaya nung tumakbo si duterte, gosh nag-post brigade kami sa fb na mag register lahat ng ofw's sa absentee voting. yung mga kakilala ko dito talagang inencourage ko magregister. it's time for a real change na talaga. nakakaiyak na po talaga ang sitwasyon sa pilipinas. ang mas nakakalungkot pa is parang hinde aware ang mga tao sa pilipinas. simpleng example lang is yung pag nasa mall ka tapos gagamit ka ng washroom, omg kadalasan walang tissue or tubig. yung makikita mo sa kalsada, lubak2x na daan. yung mga wires na hinde mo alam kung gaano na katagal yung mga poste nila eh matutumba na yata. at yung pag may narinig akong kwento ng mga ofw's dito na nawalan ng work or what pero hinde makauwi kasi walang trabaho sa pilipinas. grabe kaya talaga nakakalungkot maging pilipino. ang hirap humugot ng lakas ng loob. tapos yung pagnagta travel ka sa gabi, ang dilim kasi walang ilaw yung mga poste dahil ninakaw or what. yung mga road signs, kawayan lang or ordinaryong pintura ginagamit. bakit ganun? ang laki ng budget every year, saan napupunta ang pera ng pilipinas?

but now i am feeling so hopeful. yung dumami ang sumuporta kay duterte, i realized that the filipinos are all craving for change. wala lang talaga tayong matinong leader. i know change should start with each one of us but we need a strong leader. nakakaiyak yung mga rallies ni duterte na yung mga simpleng tao sumusuporta sa kanya, yung mahihirap, naluluha habang naghihintay sa kanya. naiiyak ako kasi naiisip ko, gaano na ba ka-hopeless ang sitwasyon nila na napapaiyak sila sa rally ni duterte?

kaya let's continue to pray for our country and for duterte and for all of us. we need all the prayers. i know kaya natin to. kinaya nga natin yung mga anti-duterte campaigns and propaganda. im so excited lalo na ngayon pa lang. nararamdaman ko this is it na talaga. change is here!

^Same thoughts. I'm an OFW din and every time I go back home, I notice the situation in the Philippines going from bad to worse! Aba syempre! You can't help but think, anong meron sa ibang bansa na wala sa Pilipinas? We have talented people, we have the land, the space and the natural resources. What we don't have though, is a disciplined society and a government that sincerely cares for its people.

It hurts to come back home and you see your country getting worse every year.

^ I guess one has to be open din of the changes to appreciate them. If we are only prone to criticism, we would miss on being grateful for the good things around us.

I've been working overseas for 8 years+ now. The first year, yes, I went into a comparison phase. But after 8 years, I do see improvements. Sa NAIA pa lang which I am embarrassed before na ang dumi dumi and pangit, they really needed that Worst Airport title para lang kumilos to renovate the airport. So yes, nakakainis yan. But I also noticed the positive change which is less corruption sa immigration and Customs. Result is faster processing na ng lahat. 8 years ago, it takes me an hour or more to get out of the airport after the landing time. Kaya I would tell my dad to fetch me an hour after para hindi ganun maghintay. For someone who flies home every other month, it's really a waste of time. Lalo na, time is always very important for me.

Since last year, I've been timing my arrivals. It takes me now only 15-20 mins after I land to get out of the airport. Pag madaling araw flight ko, it is even shorter. I also have asked my dad now to come only 10 mins after my landing time. Sa Immigration pa dati, pag napila ako sa lalake, mahilig magpasaring about looks and worse, some even flirting. Or yun iba mahilig makipag-kwentuhan with other officers sa harap mo or magpapakita ng aburido nya. Kaya tumatagal pila. Ngayon, immigration officers are very, very professional! Customs din hindi na nang ha-harass. That's why marami man nakakainis sa airport like tanim-bala and its aesthetic part, may mga bagay naman ako na thankful for. And this is based on consistent experience because I fly home so many times a year.
