1. Yellow Coco
PROS: Nice rooms. Affordable and reasonable price and it includes breakfast. Mababait kausap yung mga tao nila.
CONS: Although they have nice rooms, I don't like the lighting, nadidiliman ako. I prefer floor length windows sa bedroom para pasok agad yung natural light and maganda kalabasan sa pictures habang nagprepreps. I want the preps venue to also have a garden where we could do photo ops. Yung grounds nila I don't know if you can call it a garden kasi yung gitna sementado na konti na lang yung part na may grass. Although may mga spots na ok for picture taking, it wasn't enough for me. Pero para sa mga relatives na magsstay this is a good option.
2. Casa AlegriaPROS: The 2 best rooms has glass walls in front overlooking a breathtaking view of Taal. They have a pool and billiard tables but then would you need this? Nung nakita ko sya ang naisip ko mas ok sya venue for a shower or stag party where you and your friends can have a few drinks and just chill.
CONS: The ground space of the entire hotel in itself is small and tight. You have to climb a set of steep stairs to get to the room especially the one situated sa pinakatop. No garden to do photo ops although they do have a roof deck. Limited parking space.
3. The Lake HotelPROS: The suites recommended for wedding preps are spacious, modern and with a good and clear view of Taal. Hindi sila mahigpit about visitors and meals that will be coming in sa oras ng wedding preps. Ample parking space. Photo ops sa hotel grounds ok lang as long as di daw masyado marami yung tao and paraphernalia involve sa shoot.
CONS: Expensive relative to other venues which is expected of a hotel. Only two to four persons lang ang pwede magovernight so kung buong family sa hotel magoovernight, that would require more rooms and consequently, more money.
4. Crosswinds TagaytayPROS: Big and spacious rooms. Reasonable price. The compound is full of pine trees so parang pagpunta mo dun feeling mo nasa Baguio ka or ibang bansa. Di nman mahigpit sa pagpasok ng food and suppliers just as long as ipapaalam mo kung sino yung mga darating because the guard will check.
CONS: If you look at the buildings medyo luma na rin even the privately owned houses with their faded and peeling paints. You can do outdoor photo ops near the hotel grounds lang bawal na sa iba. Ok yung mga shots sa may pine trees and of course shots na ang background mo yung hotel. Other than that, prang wala ng variety for me. It's relatively far from Tagaytay churches so you need to allow more travel time and take into account the traffic.
5. Canyon WoodsWe didn't get the chance to do an ocular kasi malayo na pla sya from our Church which is Our Lady of Lourdes Parish. Ang madalas ko nababasa na dito ginagawa ang wedding preps ay yung mga Caleruega and Chapel on the Hill Brides. And so far maganda nman reviews kasi ang rental mo na is buong house, so cheaper compared to hotels. Maganda din yung vicinity ng place. They book them usually through AirBnB.
