^^ Yes the joke was bad. and ngayong papalapit na ang May 9 critical talaga ito lalo na sa mga undecided voters or yung mga nagsstart na iconsider si Duterte. At dahil mataas na sya sa surveys, I hope it won't affect his followings. Eto na sana ang chance nya na manalo sana talaga di maunsiyame.

Very well sad sis latte... I remember my Christian friends condemn everything about him. Not even once they tried to see what he did to Davao, how he helped neighboring provinces if needed (without his pictures on the goods given, or equipments he send to help)... Well  one friend of mine even said na he will be an embarassment because of his lack of class. Then I told her, if your concern is being classy then he really isnt your best choice I guess. Besides if you will consider choosing a leader who just wants to associate only with the upper classes, who just love to socialize and would take picture of every single thing he will do.... Then your choice right now is the best fit for you....  Then she goes... His supporters are all jologs...  Then i said.. We dont really mind being tagged as jologs, squatters just because you thought he isnt classy and sosi enough for your taste. He is the best man to do the job to make the changes we are all craving for. The changes we deserve... I love how she rolled her eyes on us...

we should not judge a book by its cover.. and i am still for Mayor Digong Duterte as President.
my hubby is from Lanao Del Norte and he said that the Mayor's problem is that he has a hard time
translating bisaya to tagalog.. it was a bad joke. but we are all guilty of having said a bad joke in our lifetimes. but at this moment in time he is Number 1 and they are out to get him.

he is judged on FB everyday now.. because he is not the typical Presidentiable.. and i am appalled at how crass, tasteless and indecent people can get.. specially from the "decent" and highly educated pro MAR peeps. why don't you get off your high horse and fight fair? the smear campaign is not classy nor decent.. the Mayor doesnt prepare speeches because he wants to interact with the people. he is a willful Leader not a callous and pretentious leader.

With all that they are doing now to damage the credibility of mayor Duterte mas lalo pa akong napahanga ng aking Presidentiable, I watched on YouTube yung sagot Nya sa video and sa puso ko mas lalo ko pang naramdaman ang pagiging totoong Tao Nya. I like his being MATAPANG! Ewan ko Lang Kung kayang gawin ng ibang presidentiables ang ginawa Nya ha. Eh ramdam na ramdam ko ang mga takot nila mar, binay at iba pa. Why? They are not ready to die, they have so many things hidden in their hearts, hypocrisy and all. They cannot be themselves and probably don't even know who they truly are anymore. Sad, that we Filipinos are being handled by these people. I also love my country and the my fellow Filipino people that is why ramdam ko ang mga sinasabi ni Mayor Duterte. I can relate to what he feels. I really hope that he will win this election for us all Filipinos.

@ Sis chicafabulosa - hays.. recently attended a meeting where most of the people in the room were MAR LENI supporters. and they were making loud and rude remarks about Duterte supporters. And i just looked at them in disbelief because they insisting that they are part of the decent and elite crowd. Money can buy you great clothes and accessories and probably a good education but it cannot buy class, manners and moral ascendency.

i also saw an FB friend post that the Silent Majority will not be so silent anymore and that they are supporting MAR LENI. i wish the MAR LENI supporters just cheer on their weak and callous presidentiable and let him have the balls to stand his own ground.

On August 13, 1988, Felipe Pugoy led his team called ‘Wild Boys of Dapecol’ to take hostages in a prison inside Camp Domingo Leonor (now the Davao City Police Office). This includes Hamill, 36, an Australian missionary She has been in the country for only a month, and it was then her first time to conduct prayers services in that prison.

All in all, Pugoy and company took 15 members of Protestant group called Joyful Assembly of God. This includes Hamill, eight other women, and a 9-year-old boy. The group demanded to be transferred to New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa. The negotiations took almost three days, which was covered live in local TV.

The military negotiators then arranged the release of the hostages. But as some of the hostages were released, shots were fired, killing a total of 21 people, all the 16 prisoners (including Felipe Pugoy), and 5 hostages, including Hamill and the 9-year-old boy. Local authorities said none of the hostages was killed by the soldiers.

But just days earlier, Pugoy and his team also tried to escape from Davao City Penal Colony (DaPeCol). That time, Mayor Rody Duterte was the main negotiator and offered himself as the replacement for the prison guards that were held hostages. Shortly, Duterte was able to convince the group to go to the Davao City hall.

But unknown to Pugoy, Mayor Duterte ordered a team to wait for them inside the city hall. Shortly, all the hostage takers were arrested and were sent back to jail, but his time to the cell where he and his team took hostages including Jaqueline Hamill. The incident led to 1992 movie titled Pugoy: Hostage Davao, starring Ian Veneracion.

Naiinis din ako minsan sa RORO supporters na napaka Self righteous, feeling nila sila lang ang tama at ang candidate nila ang tama at napakalinis. They feed on making other candidates look bad para mai-highlight yung pagka 'disente' ng candidates nila.

i watched his entire interview about the rape joke. he was so simple naka tsinelas lang and nakaupo sa monoblock chair outside of his house. mas lalo ko siya nagustuhan after watching it. when he told the real story behind the rape joke. kahit buhay niya ibibigay niya ma aasure lang ang safety ng mga hostage. that's a real life hero. parang action star ang peg ni digong. naging movie pa nga daw yun.

they cut his entire speech and nag focus sila dun sa statement ni digong kaya nagkaroon ng malice. halatang gusto siyang siraan para ma turn off ang mga supporters niya. but it wasn't effective. lalo lang nag alab ang mga supporters, and it didn't make other candidate more appealing.

sa mga presidentiables sino kaya sa kanila ang willing magpa hostage? kung sila kaya ang nasa ganong situtation how would they handle it? digong is a sharp and brave man always thinking on his feet. even when he is faced with a tough situation nakaka isip agad siya ng paraan para ma solve and problema.

I hope the other voters will see Duterte beyond this. I believe in his leadership and in his plans for the country.

But expect na lang natin na everything Duterte does and says nowadays will be sensationalized dahil dumadami na talaga ang sumusuporta sa kanya.

Dati, sabi ko sa sarili ko, ang mga politicians ngayon, wala na talaga yung sacrifice. yung willing ibigay ang meron sila, kahit buhay pa nila para sa bayan na pinaglilingkuran nila. Lahat ng politicians puro self interests na lang. Para sa business nila at para sa mga personal gains. Kung meron lang sanang PBB version kahit 1 month lang para sa mga presidentiables, para makita natin ang totoong kulay ng mga ito malalaman natin kung ano talaga ang willing nilang ibigay para sa bayan.

Si DU30 lang talaga ang nakita kong sincere at willing maglingkod. Doesn't care gaano sya kasama lumabas sa media, pero para maisagawa ang pinakamabuti para sa lahat gagawin nya. Yung iba inuuna kung ano ang kalalabasan ng gagawin nya sa media bago gumawa. Yung iba mag po-pose pa sa camera para lang makita na may nagawa kahit palpak pa.

Sana magising ang taong bayan ngayon. May latest survey na lumalabas at hindi number 1 si DU30. Maaaring mind conditioning ito pero ewan ko. Wala pa akong lugar na napuntahan na hindi dominant supporters si DU30.

Seriously, this is what's wrong with our society nowadays, sobrang desensitized na sa mga nangyayri sa paligid, and mga hindi personally nakaranas ng crime or disaster.  Imagine being told bahala na kayo sa buhay niyo after surviving a disaster as big as Yolanda, wherein nawalan ka na ng family member/s at nawalan ka pa ng kabuhayan.  And that's better???  How???   IMO, if people are condemning Duterte now for the supposed rape joke (na hindi naman pala joke at nagkwento lang ng dialogue with the criminals) we should also be (still) incensed by that phrase!  Yung kay Duterte 1989 pa eto 2009 lang.

^i feel you sis. i know i have to respect others' opinions but seriously, hinde ba talaga nila nakikita ang tunay na sitwasyon ng pilipinas? hinde ba sila napapagod sa paulit ulit na drama ng mga pulitiko?

i have been praying for a political leader who is a sincere public servant. and because of a bad joke, i realized God has answered my prayer. Duterte is not only sincere but willing to give up his life for the people. and the best part is, this is not just our delusion. it has happened for real.

^i feel you sis. i know i have to respect others' opinions but seriously, hinde ba talaga nila nakikita ang tunay na sitwasyon ng pilipinas? hinde ba sila napapagod sa paulit ulit na drama ng mga pulitiko?

Hindi! Kasi malamang ngayong term nag bloom ang business nila or baka may personal gains silang naachieve during this term na natatakot silang mawala kapag iba na ang pangulo. I don't know if legit or not man yung means nila, pero takot sila sa pagbabago na mas makabubuti para sa lahat. Mas gusto nila yung sila lang talaga ang nakikinabang at nakakaramdam ng ginhawa.

Parang sa typical regionalism at pinoy mentality eh... pag hindi affected sila or ang pamilya nila at nagbebenefit sila, kahit mali para sa mas nakararami, eh wala silang kime palibhasa sila ay hindi napeperwisyo. Na-banggit yan sa palabas ni Heneral Antonio Luna. Ganun ang karamihan sa atin. No doubt, mostly sila din yung mga taong gusto if possible na mag migrate sa ibang bansa for better life.

I now understand the real context of the joke. Mayor Duterte was speaking on thug language to the thugs themselves para makuha yung loob / ego (I don't know how to explain in Tagalog the right term) or takutin ng/ang mga criminal. Gets ko na. It's being shared on Fb.

Just manifests how he is not scared of ill-willed criminals and his willingness to sacrifice.
