BORACAY Wedding (Thread 3)

Hi guys!

It's been a while since I posted, update lang:

Nag iba na kami ng hotel/reception area kasi may misunderstanding na nangyari between us and the original venue. Sad lang. I'm not going to go about the details na, but bottom line is, naka-secure na kami ng new venue.

Nakahanap na din kami ng P/V pero Manila-based, so we're flying their team to Boracay. lumalabas mas mura pa din sya than getting a Boracay-based suplier, kasi 55k lang yung package nila and complete na sya with Pre-nup shoot and video, Onsite AVP, SDE and highlights na non-nego for me. We'll pay them by next month along with the HMUA. So that's done, and most suppliers booked.

By this time we ought to get the supplier na for wedding gown/suits pero i can't seem to find someone budget-friendly na hindi palpak. Who is your wedding gown couturier? pakopya naman!

Hello everyone! I am a newbie here but I've been reading these threads about boracay brides since day one when fiance and I decided to get maried in Boracay. Wedding will be on Feb 2017, at Asya. 🙂 Hindi naman ako stressed because I got the full service package of Amanda. Nakakastressed lang actually is yung guests. My mom keeps on insisting that we should invite si ganito si ganyan, dun ako nahihirapan. 😂🙄 but over all, i am having a great time planning for my wedding. Plus I have the most hands on groom. Mas detalyado pa kesa sa akin. So there, hope to get some pointers from past and future boracay brides like me.

naku sis Alice_in_Wonderland, that's a common problem that bride's encounter. A lot of us wants to have an intimate wedding but them parents would require to invite si ganito at si ganun. Tapos domino effect na if you invite this, kailangan invited na rin si ganito. Nakaka stress talaga but you need to strike a balance between what you want and what your parents want. Di natin masisi rin sila because they are really part of our lives so we have to respect them too. Pero kung di mo naman talaga kilala yung gusto iinvite, you have to be firm and tell them respectfully that they can't be part of your wedding

Feel free to ask kung may mga kailagan kang info about Asya... FYI also for the food you can order lechon sa Asya for 6.5K for 20 peson, wala yan sa menu nila but can be added.

Thank you for the info fat_pat. We will pass na lang with the lechon 🤗😊
but ang concern ko lang yung desserts namin sa menu. Andami kasing chocolate flavor. The cake we chose is chocolate also. We are planning na lang to omit the petit fours. we'll have a sunset chill out at white house the day before the wedding dun na lang ang lechon. Pero hindi pa kami nakapagdecide ni G2b if we will shoulder the cocktails. Plan kasi namin, pulutan on us lang. 😊

Hi! Sino kinuha nyo sa band? Everyday People is so pricey. Pag acoustic 15k lang kasi pwede nila magamit yung standard na lights and sounds ng hotel (Asya). Pero pag full band na sila around 55k (full band + lights and sounds). Help pls!

For host, I know two boracay-based hosts: Andrew Wolff and Miles / Milryl Dogomeo. They say eye candy nga si Andrew and matutuwa guests but please think of your hubby too lol! I mean moment ni hubby yun dapat sya pinaka gwapo and yung attention dapat sainyo ni couple. rate of miles is 10k then rate of andrew is 20k? Meron pa ba kayo ibang alam na host na boracay based? Pls feel free to comment

hi sis Bubblemilk! my friend is also getting married sa boracay Baka she will get Ms. Rio de guzman of Dazzle events kasi hindi daw ata siya nag charge ng OOTF for boracay and hindi rin niya pinasasagot yung airfare and accomodation, im not so sure about the details, try to inquire kay ms. rio. Siya ang host ko during my wedding pero manila lang

Hi Sis Bubblemilk. I'm getting everyday people acoustic. When we had our food tasting in Boracay, nagbarhop kami ni g2b, naghanap ng band.. and nakita namin sila sa boracay uptown nagperform. Nagustuhan namin kasi they can do rnb not just the typical or standard na acoustic songs 😊. As for host naman we will get na lang someone from our guests kasi suggest ni coord better kung  kilala nila ang couple tsaka mag-aannounce lang naman gagawin. 😊

May mga props ba kayong pina ship from manila to boracay via ship? If yes, ano mga to, anong cargo company and hm? Nagpplan kasi ako magpagawa ng wood na designs dito sa manila kasi baka mas mura then papadala nalang sana sa boracay sa office ni coor. Any advice please? Tsaka pwede po pahingi contact nung para sa boat na magpapacustom ng name? Thank you!!!

Kung Bulk you can try JRS or 2go mas mura sya compare sa iba, may isa pang mura na way,you can try yung mga RORO buses (dimple star, Ceres, Philtranco) na may branches sa pasay at cubao going to Iloilo or Antique, kasi yung stop nyan is caticlan port, you can arrange with your supplier to pick it up in Caticlan port.

Joining the fun here.

I'm planning my destination wedding for 2018, and Boracay is one contender. 

One concern is logistics.  Since most of our guest will be coming from abroad; and there is no direct flight to Boracay, they have to either get into another plane from Manila to Caticlan, or choose Kalibo and take the long drive then ferry to Boracay. 
How did you go about the transportation of your guests, suppliers and other stuff you need to bring?  (From International Airport to Boracay)

Another concern is costing.  We'd like to have a Church Ceremony then reception is sa Shangri-la na.  With this in mind, how would the typical cost range at?
