I'm done with call centers too actually with calls but not necessarily with BPOs ok pa rin mag work sa bpo industry.. with the exp I gained and konting strategy sa resume, nakakuha ako ng dream job ko- day shift- super laking offer nagulat ako- and holidays off lovveeet!!!

done with night shifts may pasok ng holiday and most of all...mag eend of the world na e kailangan mo parin pumasok dahil unexcused ang absent mo! hahaha

I can totally relate. May 6 years na rin ako in this industry, and 4 of those years were spent in my current center. Ok naman yung account ko nung una until the head office made drastic changes. Eto yung dream account eh. Tipong no AHT. There's always an exception para ma please si customer.

And then nagkaron ng new LOB for sales. Kasama ako sa pilot agents. The client was literally the AntiChrist. Dami iniimpose. Keri ko naman.

Recently ang nakaka demotivate sa akin is my TL. Hilig sa favorites. I don't kiss ass kasi. Sakto na confine ako due to asthma. Sabay pm sa fb group namin na ingatan ang absenteeism. So tempted to reply na what if something happened to me in the office, pananagutan ba nila? It's my right na mag sickleave. Kaya parang gusto ko na mag resign and maghanap na lang ng may weekends off na job.

I finally submitted my 30 days notice kanina sa shift ko. Ayaw tanggapin ng TL ko, eventually pumayag siya (or else baka dumeretso ako sa OM). The other night, I finally signed a job offer in another company. Medyo mababa ang offer, but it has annual increase. Email support siya and pioneer wave pa kami. Ang galing ng timing. Thank you Lord.

I think sa dami kasi ng cc agents, nagkaron na sila ng reputation na 'loose'. But really come to think of it, most agents kasi are young. Then earning a good pay (would just like to confirm thus my Q above). So definitely peg mo is to enjoy life and be merry, di ba? Late nights younger people can take, syempre after shift, gimik iisipin mo at wala ka naman responsibility sa house, at may pang gimik ka naman, so why not relax and unwind.

Tapos people thought cc jobs is easy. Coz anyone can answer phones/emails. If di ka nakapagtapos, puede ka sa cc job. But then, with TS list, parang very stressful din sya just like any other job.

Ito ang industry na sumuporta sa aking family.

Grateful naman ako sa mga bpo na napuntahan ko. Nakadalawang bpo pa lang naman ako sa loob ng 10 years pero its been five years na di na ako nagti take ng calls. Still the same, mahirap pa rin pag nasa back office ka. wala ngang aht and other metrics na gaya sa rep PERO kelangan naman nagagampanan ng ayos ang bau at iba pang process. bukod pa diyan dapat may projects ka pa rin na iinitiate para makakuha ka naman ng strong rating pag dating ng year end.

For me, dapat thankful tayo sa work natin kase it pays our bill. Kung ayaw na natin e d umalis na lang. Pero sa katulad namin na kelangan ang mag work at di naman mayaman tiyaga lang talaga.

They pay gets bigger. Plus you can apply for a higher position like let's say someone who manages a project or a team.

Hehe. I think this thread is more of a 'rant'and to be able to talk to people who feel the same. Siyempre if you love your work and don't feel like quitting anytime, or
you really want to stay, of course, that is really great.

Pero siyempre for those who really wants to get out of call center because they feel like it's
really not for them and has the guts to do so, why not.

I'm happy I got out and I'm enjoying my life better now.

Nice food for thought, not just for call center people, but for anyone who feels pagod na sa work.  Ok lang naman to change jobs if hindi happy, just bear in mind that other companies really veer away from applicants na job hopper.  Aside from cc jobs, people in the service industry also have to work on holidays.  Walang job na easy even if you love your job - work is work.

Lately since there were changes in management, our department has become so strict and stringent with rules nakakasakal na rin.

The phone calls + admin work are literally killing all of us in the department.

Kami we're not required to make a phonecall unless mahaba na ang email thread namin ng client. More on admin tasks din kami kaya hanggat maari I avoid phonecalls. Nakaka-stress na admin tasks plus deadlines to beat pa.

^Depende sa accounts and team din. Pagnon-performing ang team madalas nadi-disperse tapos idi-distribute sa ibang teams ang mga members. Or pagnagpullout or ramp down ang account ililipat lang sa ibang accounts ang agents kesa i-lay off.

Olah! mga sis!! I am the TS ng post na ito.. So what happened to me after my cc life?
I studied bookkeeping. I am a bookkeeper ng tita ko, on the side lang naman. so extra income for me. Nagpatayo ako ng tindahan. It was doing so well. Then nagdecide ako magapply ulit ng work.
Nung nagjobstreet ako... inapplayan ko lang purely ay non voice account. Nakakatawa talaga kasi mga kumpanya such as EXL, XEROX, ACCENTURE etc.. nakapost sa kanila Non voice pero pag nandun kana wala nadaw, close nadaw, project based lang... mga halatang bait lang. nilalagay ako sa voice accounts at talagang high salary agad. pero no no no way... no no no way!
Thankfully, got hired dito sa isang bpo sa madrigal.. total non voice.., kalma, masaya, happy better salary rin!
Naghire ako ng tindera sa store ko pero mahirap kasi nangungupit talaga. kaya pinarentahan ko na lang yung tindahan ko.. so ganun rin naman sitting pretty lang ako after work tapos may rent income pa.. then bookkeeping jobs.. then next plan.., online job narin in a few.

Talagang todo hakot ako ng pera nowadays, dami kong payables lalo na insurances, st. peter plan, stocks mga ganern.. then my hubby who works abroad.. lahat ng sweldo niya for savings na... kaya kalma nako na tatanda kaming may pera.. hehe...  yun lang naman...

Oh, so it's thanksgiving day today so sa company ko wala kaming pasok paid pa.. eh sa dati kong cc's ayun may pasok parin.. queing pa. no vls allowed.. yung day off nila.. rdot.. my gawd. i just.. i kennat!
