Hello newbie here! our wedding budget initially was 400k, but after talking to my sister she told me that we might need to increase it to 600k..  based sa peg na gusto ko. sana hindi na kame mag over sa budget

Initially, 350K dapat budget namin for a Tagaytay Wedding,150 pax. But after namin pabook& we have prospect supplier na aabot ng 400K kasama na miscellaneous.
Pwede pa mapababa if yung kuhanin naming venue is below 60K(venue budget).
Nagtanong din ako sa sister ko sabi maghanda daw ng 500k. Ganun ata talaga sila hehe.

 Plan within your means.

Getting the biggest names in the industry ensures quality services during the biggest day of your life, but you don't need to go over your budget just to get them. You can turn to other suppliers who aren't as popular but can also deliver beyond expectations. Take time to ask around, visit wedding fairs, or go through online forums. You're bound to find the right supplier for you with a little patience.

 Book as early as you can.

Reserve your venues after you get a proper headcount of guests. Don't wait for the last minute; oftentimes, it’s more expensive to do so.

^ our budget is 400k for a 150pax wedding in QC for 2017. Sabi ni H2b maximum na yun. I agreed naman kasi we need to consider din what's gonna happen  after the wedding which is very important too. I'm torn between saving up and spending for my dream wedding so ang gagawin namin, book Muna ng essential suppliers. Nag splurge kami sa photo and video. after that, if may extra budget pa tsaka na lang kami magbook ng ibang suppliers na mag add parang "bonus"  na lang such as upgraded styling sa venue, singers and musicians for the reception(for now iniisip namin imaximize ang rejectkrew for the sounds sa reception magbibigay na lang kami ng list of songs),  Prenup styling. Hirap mag budget hehe

^I agree with you sissies! It's really hard to budget and sometimes we do get carried away during planning. Me and hubby really want a beautiful wedding so ngayon ipon sabay bayad. Pagmay naipon ng amount bayad agad sa suppliers and we have to let go of a lot of "wants". No more shopping and travels muna until next year so we can maximize our income. We also added investments (like stocks and Company cooperatives) na pwede namin last resort in case hindi magkasya ang ipon. We never thought of having a loan. Ayaw namin magstart na may utang.  We are saving the amount equal to 150% of our wedding budget so we have money after.

If you have budget constraints, splurge on suppliers that are non-negotiable for you. But make sure to splurge on the food, yun ang pinaka-essential. What is a beautiful venue if your guests are hungry. I book some of my dream suppliers na afford namin, like my gown. But those that are beyond our budget, like Jason Magbanua, we have to let go. Nasa tamang balance lang sissies.

Wanting to know the price, lalo na pag separate suppliers kasi po baka my chance kaming makuha
yung isang P/V team for a good price.  Sort of common friends ni hubby yung isa sa member ng team and I want to know if the price he gave is

We spent 170k for ours, pero kasi magkahiwalay. Isa forte is photo lang talaga and the other is video lang. hehe mahal kaso kasi medyo particular yung dad ko sa photo and video e.. sometimes medyo iniisip ko na nakakapanghinayang sa mahal, pero ok na din andyan na e and so far sa prenup mukhang maganda naman nga yung kuha nung photographer so ayun

Ive checked there portfolios naman and puro endorsement ni Belo ang ginagawa nila.
Havent seen much of their wedding works.
But price wise gusto na namin sya.

^ miming If separate P/V, it starts with 100K and up. If same team for P/V, from 50K. You can check my blog link, I got a list of P/Vs and their rates so you can have a better idea. It's a Manila-based 2015-2016 wedding so add probably 10-20% if your wedding will be set on 2017 and around 10-20K minimum for OOT fees in case the wedding is out of town.

Well mga Sis, ang masasabi ko lang din is we have to be thorough when choosing our suppliers. Expensive suppliers doesn't mean they always give quality output. I'm sure sa pag babasa natin dito sa GT, nalalaman natin yung mga overrated na supplier. kaya siguro it is so important that we start planning in advance para mabusisi natin lahat ng details. @Miming yeah mahal nga, I was initially looking at Ralph Alejandrino though ang package niya sa akin is nasa 120k din. Then rereklamo dad ko sa output ng video na hindi daw ganun ka-ok dahil may mga parts na medyo unfocused or hindi nga daw sharp.. Yun naman kasi ang issue sa package. Normally they have a forte even if they offer packaged services. Like Ralph's case, their forte is really the photo and not the video. Sa binook ko, the prenup output nung photo team (Jorem Catilo) is really good kaya accepted ko na kahit may kamahalan. As for the video team I chose Christian Andaya, kaya ko sila pinili kasi when I watched a few of his works I can really see the sharpness of the video quality. Plus the ones I watched are not of the artista video kind and even though I don't know the persons getting married, I was still touched by it. I think that says something of the work of Christian. Tama si sis lakwatchera, expensive doesn't always mean quality so we still have to check and double check pa din their works. Sa akin nanghinayang lang naman ako konti kasi I'm not used to spending so much at nalalakihan ako, not because the quality of their work is poor. Let's just say personality ko na kasi ang pagiging spendthrift. Hindi lang maapply in my case because my dad is a photography enthusiast/hobbyist so may ibang hinahanap siya sa quality.

thanks for the info! Not bad na pala yung 100k offered to us. All in na sya. With Prenup, Aerial shots. Im not sure about the licensing of the song kasi first time ko lang syang narining.  Pero we'll still look for other suppliers kung may mas gaganda or papantay sa offer nila na di naman macocompromise yung quality.

Your one lucky daughter kasi si daddy na ang nag shoulder ng P/V mo with superb quality.  I think everyone naman dreams of having the best of the best suppliers available in town kaso talagang everything comes with a price Gusto ko din ng mga ganun klaseng videos which is ramdam mo yung love & passion nung gumawa.

Sis miming, my P/V do not upload the SDE in the internet if the song is not licensed that's why we will pay for the song para maupload din namin yung video. i think some P/V included na sa package nila yung licensing of the BG music, so you can ask them regarding that. We are licensing the song through musicbed.

welcome sis miming! Some P/V suppliers siguro gusto umiwas sa mga copyright problems when uploading to youtube or other sites kaya nagrerequire na sila ng license.

Miming thanks hope the blog was helpful to you Anyway what they were saying about music licensing is true. It's better to pay for it than not to avoid future problems. That's actually what happened to a known videographer before when he was sued for copyright claims.

we initially target 250k for 150pax. well that went away quickly when we chose the suppliers we wanted.

Sad. I didn't set a budget but upon computing our remaining balance.... Pikit Mata! Basta I'll invest in good coordinator, good photog and videog, also food. =)
