super sulit anf 50% off sale ng fullybooked, super saya talaga, I got one na hard bound sya for only 325.  gusto ko pa balikan yung lost ocean and geometric figures na coloring book nabigatan na lang talaga ako sa mga dala ko last night.

My mom just started coloring last Feb. My tita gave her 2 coloring books -- paisley patterns and mandala. I want to buy her another coloring book, yung hindi masyadong intricate ang patterns/illustrations. Yung medyo malaki space to color since she is just starting out and medyo nahihirapan pa sya sa small spaces na mag kulay.

What can you guys recommend na kasama sa fullybooked sale?

Buti may naabutan pa akong sale yesterday sa NBS. I have the first two books of Johanna Brasford pero divi versions lang, gift sa kin ng cousin ko. Pero I felt guilty for enjoying it so much na gusto ko talaga bumili ng original kahit pang display lang kasi nagagandahan talaga ako kaso ang mahal nya pala at 700php. So nabasa ko from this thread about the sale. I got the Secret Garden one, sabi sa tag 299 lang. Yay! Tapos when I got to the counter, full price na sya?! I got one other book and my total went to 1.2k for both. Buti di pa na swipe ni ate cashier yung atm ko. She left me for maybe 20 mins to check and finally, she issued me an official receipt na lang for the discounted price after consulting with the higher ups because di pwede idaan yung transaction via cash register. Buti na lang I had enough cash to cover the items. IDK what the issue was kasi nag revert na to original price yung sale items.

So just a word of warning lang sa mga hahabol pa sa sale, just make sure na you're paying the correct price kasi pag na swipe na yun sa credit card or atm, hassle pa.

Tapos, after saying to my hubby na I will leave the original book pristine, two hours after getting home, naalis ko na yung first set ng stitches ng binding. Found a tutorial in YouTube how to dismantle na binding of the book to make it easier to color in the middle part of the two-page spreads. Pristine pala eh. hehe.

Iba talaga yung quality ng paper ng original. Mas smooth pero mas maraming pigment sya naabsorb. No issues so far using watercolor pencils and blending with oil.

^ that happened to me also. I saw a friend post the time chamber on sale, P399 na lang. When i went to NBS di daw sale. Sabi ko sa ibang branch sale. Apparently, kailangan nila i-download or update daw yung database so that the sale price would reflect. Hinintay ko lang.

When i went to NBS, walang signage na nakasale mga coloring books.  Tapos nakaregular price din sila sa sticker nila.  I asked lang the cashier.  Nung una, dinededma lang nya ako.  So sabi ko sa kasama ko, sa powerbooks na lang ako bumili or kaya sa fully booked.  Nahimasmasan ata at sabi tingnan nya.  Ayun nakasale nga.

Hi! Does anyone know where I could buy branded color pencils by piece? I've been wanting to try the Prismacolors and Polychromos and Derwent or any other brands. These brands and super expensive and I can't justify buying sets of these but I do want to try them out. TIA

^ i think you can buy polychromos individually direct from faber castell philippines. Google na lange for email address. I found a 12pc set for P500 only sa shopee so I bought this to try. You can also attend some colorong classes, sometimes they are sponsored by FC and they lend polychromos and durer sets to the class.

For prismacolor premier, you can try some online sellers like colooritph on ig. But i also found a 48pc set for P1800. At least cheaper rhan normal so i can try.

For derwent, i haven't come across any seller that has individuals. I got a 36pc set of inktense pencils from amazon last black friday.

I find these products very expensive so i'm always on the lookout for great deals on them.

Good tips, sis. How's the inktense? Wala pa akong sarili kong water soluble pencils. I was eyeing the inktense kaso nakaka indimidate. Gusto ko yung tingkad ng colors kaya lang baka di sya pang-noobita.

^ love inktense! Minsan bitin ako sa 36 pero namamahalan na ako sa 72. Hehe.

Look for videos of peta hewitt on youtube. Ginaya ko style nya sa magical city na book for my first try. Happy naman ako sa result. Pero depende sa paper din talaga.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to use to get that pure black background?
Markers don't work because they bleed through. My color pencils are not black enough. I haven't tried watercolor pencils because of the large spaces which might ruin the pages when I add water. I was suggested pan pastels by Johanna Basford's team in Facebook but I found these are super expensive.

If anyone has any ideas, thanks in advance.
