Thanks sis! Yung sakin kasi yung tig-295 lang pero gusto ko yung maraming colors. Na try ko na yung pentel & mapped pero maputla ang colors

^nalilito ako sa mga colleen at yung mga numbers nila lika 775,772, 785.  Ano ba ibig sabihin ng mga yun?

^ 775 daw ang pinaka vibrant among the three. I have all but I like the 785 the most hehe.

^bakit mas prefer mo ang 785 sis?  gusto ko kasi bumili ng colleen kaso nalilito ako sa mga numbers.

I'm loving adult coloring book!   When I was younger love ko na talaga mag color kahit kung ano ano lang haha! I'm using faber castell colour pencils,  washable coloring pens and gel pens, But I like most yong gel pens, mas brighter/vibrant at mas madaling pang color for me, kahit yong maliliit na details ay  ok, soft at madaling pang color, so bumili ako ng per piece mas ok sya kesa sa color pencil. Yong washable kasi nag bleed at medyo rough na ang dating, sa first try medyo pumalpak dahil mixed yong ginamit kong pang color tsaka pinaglaruan ko pa yong color combination ending medyo magulo haha!

Has anyone tried to use petroleum jelly or baby oil in blending?  I tried both pero I like petroleum jelly more.  Pag baby oil kasi, if you're not careful, nagiiwan ng oily marks.

My friend naman who uses watercolor, sabi nya may effect din daw ang alcohol.

^^ i've tried baby oil pa lang. Ok naman sya lag nag-dry na. Mas gusto ko ito pang-blend vs a blender pencil. Mas nawawala yung streaks. Though i've only tried a derwent blender pencil on colleens.

I'm loving the pencils over markers technique. Madalas ganito ginagawa ko vs purely pencils. Mas madai kasi.

I've tried alcohol, baby oil, blender pencils, white pencils as blender/burnisher, petroleum jelly.  Sa alcohol, di masyadong naspread ang colors.  Sa baby oil naman, careful kasi pag napadami, nagdadark ang area and may bakas ng oil sa paper.  Sa petroleum jelly,  pag napadami pwede rin magkabakas ng oil.  Two ways to use petroleum jelly - one, apply it directly to the paper before coloring, or two, dip the pencil in the petroleum jelly before coloring.  I like the blender pencils pero careful lang kasi nakakapick up sya ng pigment kaya minsan may dark streaks.  burnisher ok din lang pero di na pwede patungan ng color once naburnish.

^ i color with markers muna then i use pencils over the markers for shading and blending. Here's one i did:

I used zig clean color real brush pens as base for the bricks and fire. Then pencils over.

^thanks sis clueless for sharing. Ang ganda ng gawa mo. I'll try the pencils over markers technique. Needs improvement pa kasi ako sa shading and blending.

By the way, in the pencils over markers technique, do you color by section or tapusin mo muna lahat kulayan ng markers before you use colored pencils to shade or blend?

^ thanks. That was my 1st try using the pencils over markers technique. And meron akong inspiration dyan sa ginawa ko na yan so it wasn't completely my idea.

I usually color 1 muna. Like don sa brick, 1 brick muna. Or pag flower, 1 petal muna. Tapusin ko muna kulayan yon with marker and pencil so i can see the effect. Kung di ok, pwede ko i-erase ang pencil. Hehe. When i'm satisfied, i do the rest - all markers muna then all pencils.

Mas nadalian ako sa ganyan vs all pencils. I've done several pages na using this technique but that fireplace was the first one. I was so happy with how it turned out kasi. But now i'm trying to do all pencils na din since i have some books na double-sided prints so i can't really use a lot of my markers because they bleed through.
