Sisses nakakaadik ba talaga bumili ng coloring materials or it's just me? Never na ako nakalabas ng mall without buying new coloring stuff and books!!

Addicting nga sis. Currently I have 20 adult coloring books. Trying not to pass by bookstores and art supply stores para walang bitbit pag labas.   But the Manila International Bookfair is calling me...

True, ako control ko muna bili ng coloring tools. Pero yung books oh my, current fave ko is hue can do it books.

^quota muna ako for now sa books. Pero for the coloring tools, i'm looking for good ones na affordable. I have colored pencils (Colleen, Pentel Arts, and Faber Castell) so I'm looking for markers and gel pens.

Anyone tried the Stabilo Power pens?

I'm just starting out with adult coloring books and I am definitely hooked on them.  I'm not sure though which pencils are better - classic colored pencils or watercolour pencils.  I'm not much of an artist din naman kasi.  Also, anong magandang brand ng pencils ba.

^ I've never tried using watercolor pencils bcs they seem too technical for a super non-artist like me but my favorite pencils are Colleen and Maped. Affordable, vibrant colors and easy to blend.

^^^ I did not buy pa the Hue Can Do It, Too! book. I browsed the images and medyo similar lang with the Hue Can Do It which I'm not even 1/4 done coloring hehe.

I've noticed I'm better coloring doodles, clothes, shoes, structures... Not much sa flowers, mandalas, and animals (kaya walang dating sa'kin ang Animorphia). Favorite books ko these days are the Secret Paris and the Magical City.

^^ i have tried using both regular colored pencils and watercolor pencils, colleen 775 and faber castell, respectively. Magkaiba kasi ang effect. I blend the watercolor pencils with a pentel aquash waterbrush. Sa regular pencils, i have tried blending with a blender pencil and also with baby oil. I'm not super happy with the results yet, i need more practice.

Personally, i prefer markers and gel pens.

In using watercolor pencils or regular color pencils dapat ba agad agad ang pagblend or pwede after na macolor the whole page?

Last Friday, I went to SM Megamall and saw fake Secret Garden and "Alice in Wonderland" coloring books being sold.  I did buy this Secret Garden na parang memo cards so you can write your message at the back?  It was only P99.75.  The books sold for P199.75.

It's true that coloring is relaxing. It's also good for the brain and dementia prevention.

Has anyone tried a china brand coloring pencil called Marco Raffine? They have a 72-piece set na I'm curious. I'm torn between this and the Colleen 60-piece set but it includes neons which I don't like.

^ I have used marco raffine aquarelle (watercolor) pencils and they were good. some reviews say that marco raffine pencils are a cheaper alternative to prismacolor premiers. you can check out more reviews on amazon.

^pencils, sis.  nacoconfuse ako sa lahat ng brands and types na nakikita ko on the market.  For a super non-artist like me,  I'm into coloring mostly for the de-stressing and calming effect.  Ni hindi nga ako marunong sa blending or color combinations.  But I enjoy coloring kasi nawawala talaga pagod ko. nakakaadik na nga.

^this will depend on your budget if you want a not so expensive but good quality colored pencils ok na ang Colleen. but if you are willing to pay more, go for Faber Castell Polychromos. Derwent is good too, for me ok yung inktense and watercolor niya. Prismacolor madami nagsasabi na ok but hindi ko pa natry. Koh i noor is ok din, Deovir sells them individually so you can choose which color lang you want to buy if ayaw mo bilhin yung buong set.

Has anybody tried buying coloring books from Amazon then have it shipped to the Philippines? Was it taxed here? Diba dapat walang tax if books? Kasama ba ang coloring book sa category na iyon? Hindi kasi available sa book depository eh.
