You can use the lull periods like cocktail hour and dinner to show some of the avps.

@simang, usually during cocktails and/or after the program.

thanks sis juwie. ang concern ni fiance dito is baka maparami ng inom yung iba pag cocktails pa lang open na sya, lalo na diy open bar ang gagawin namin. hehe.

^wow sis! Ang bilis ng 1 hour for all that ha. :) How many guests did you have?

By the way sisses, I'm now officially a 2015 Tagatay Bride. Yey! We just booked Chapel on the Hill for our wedding on 27 October 2015. I didn't want to disclose before the exact date kasi baka majinx, although weekday naman yun so less chances of "kaagaw".  :)

^wala rin kaming dove release. ;D but we had modified singles games. i also specifically instructed our emcee and coordinator that the garter removal portion/tradition will not be a part of the program. so i did not wear the garter. but there was an alternative game for the garter toss to determine the "chosen" bachelor.

^sis di rin namin to gagawin.. walang money dance, and wala din garter game.. wala din kissing challenge. throw bouquet ang meron pero we'll do it paglabas ng church. very traditional lang :)

Oh my! When was your wedding sis shygirlme? We're planning to have a total of 80-90 guests lang. Ours is a weekday wedding in Tagaytay. Ilan kaya yung dapat naming iinvite?

3 weeks ago sis. Pinaka mahirap na part ang mag invite at rsvp. If we know madami di pupunta nag invite na kami ng iba. Kaso naman yung iba nag atrasan a day before. So makakapag invite pa ba kami non?

We put the cash payments (no cheques) in separate envelopes, labeled by supplier name and my mom held onto it until end of reception (payment time).
I'm not comfortable kasi having anyone else take care of the money given that it's a huge amount. There's so much horror stories too about missing cash (even coordinator teams) kaya ayoko i-risk.

We also had cash ready for sudden expenses (20k I think?) but this was not used. Sakto lahat ng naprepare ko :)

Thanks sis! I was also thinking to have my mother keep the money also. I've read here that some brides had entrusted this responsibility to their coordinators, pero parang mas ok sa kin ang thought na mom ko na lang.

I spoke to my coordinator and we agreed to pay ALL suppliers one week before the wedding. At least pareho kaming walang iisipin after reception.  :) I like the way how my coordinator manages this kind of things para mabawasan ang worries ng bride.

Sis, hindi ba ito nakakatakot? I would feel really insecure to pay off all my suppliers a week before they actually deliver on the entirety of their services.

We're not comfortable with that kind of arrangement so we're not going to pay our suppliers in full before our wedding. We made sure to explain this to them during contract signing. What we're planning to do is to issue manager's checks, which are as good as cash, for the large amounts and cash for the smaller ones. We'll either let my mum, or maybe my dad's assistant, hold on to the checks and money. Maybe we'll also place them in separate envelopes with two sheets for acknowledgment of receipt of the full payment for their services. Isipin ko pa if I will still need a checklist. Hehe.

The acknowledgement of receipt is a great idea, sis. Thanks for sharing that; I think I will also adopt this.

^well sis, it depends who your suppliers ha.. i don't think Gail Bitoon and Ghe Consolacion will disappoint me though. Sila na lang kasi ang babayaran ko ng malaki on the day itself just in case I decided to bring money sa reception.
Aside from the 2, konti nalang din ang balance ko with my coordinator and with DTS.
Fully paid na rin ako with church, caterer and reception even 2 months before our wedding.

if ever ba sis, anong supplier ang medyo kakabahan ako?

Flowers? Cake? Yung mga dadalhin pa lang sayo on the day. But you know you're right kasi the suppliers who are known and are banking on their reputations in the wedding industry will not ruin themselves over any amount. I've read somewhere though of a coordinator who was a no-show on the day of the wedding after he was able to inveigle about 900k from the couple. A week before the wedding this coordinator could no longer be reached so the couple had to go through with a far simpler wedding celebration.
