I love Kinoyoga, too, although I haven't really tried doing her full yoga routine. The only Kino routine I've tried is her morning wake up exercise, which is a very short one. I've not done yoga for almost two weeks now and my body's screaming for it. I really need to get my ommmm back!

I also did some Pilates some two years ago. I still incorporate some Pilates into my practice now, but not like before, when I did a 20-minute Pilates routing first before switching to yoga. I think I should get back to that routine ASAP. It did a lot of wonders for me!

You are so right, bonzaii, the feeling you get after doing one round of yoga (and sweating it out) is amazing!

Namaste, everyone! :)

^^okay Sana yan sis kasi malayo sakin e..

(Anybody  who practice there?) sila raw yung first yoga studio since the 60's pa (hippie, pare!) looks promising kasi Hindi Lang yoga yung inooffer Nila, may meditation rin which I feel I need more. I wanna try different studios first para makita ko Kung ano fit sakin. Kasi bikram pala too intense for me lol also not too friendly yung "classmates" (high school?)

my first time today at bikram yoga timog (and at bikram) wow so intense! Is it odd tho that i find it odd that there isn't much interaction between the students?  :o :o Im sure they are nice ppl and all, di lang nila siguro bet and small talks. sana i can get a yoga buddy (anyone?) it would be nice to have someone to talk to about the practice esp so cos im new at it. nauumay na kasi bf ko sa kwento ko e wala naman sya relate.  :D

hi sis have you checked Beyond Yoga in Il Terrazo building in Tomas Morato? malapit ako dito, we can be buddies here.

I tried this before sa GH like 3 years ago kaso nakaramdam ako ng insecurity siguro or takot kasi yung mga kasabay ko iba tingin sakin. haha! intimidated ako sobra. hindi nako bumalik..

I want to try again.

Thanks!

first timer here nun nagtry ako ng bikram yoga sa makati branch. nung una skeptic kame like kung ano dapat isuot, or pano ba dapat gawin. but i find their receptionists accomodating and welcoming. hindi sila nang didiscrimate ng mga tao even if trial lang yung inavail. hindi snob at mabait naman sila.

they offered me 1500 unlimited session for 2 weeks.

nagpaparent din sila ng yoga mat for 50 then towel for 40. planning to avail their 1500 beginners promo

Hi sis. This is quite a delayed answer to your question. :) You probably do know the answer to this by now hehe.  Yoga ( in all forms :) ) is an internal and reflective practice.  One sis had said that she found it quite intimidating. A new yogi would think so, kasi yoga needs concentration on performing certain poses /asanas. While performing these movements you have to concentrate on balancing your breath as you inhale, exhale while executing the movents. Plus aside from that, you need to concentrate hard on doing the poses and trying hard not to slip and slide from your mat as you are all sweaty. ;)  :)  As a beginner, most women are conscious and it sometimes feels as if other yogis are judging you. But actually serious lang talaga sila kasi gusto nila gawin yung certain poses, without breaking their concentration. ;) :)  That was what I felt when I started doing yoga. But then I found out that, other yogis don't really care what pose you are doing. They are just concentrating on their own making sure each muscle is stretched properly, each movent executed correctly without hurting any ligaments, tendons and muscles.

Although in saying that, I am also aware that yoga is not for everybody, as some really can't appreciate the stillness and serenity of it :) But I do hope that you've continued with your practice.  I have found it not only as a good workout regimen, but as a wonderful lifestyle change.  Sabi nga nila, you can really feel the burn in yoga :) and discover muscles that you didn't know exist. hehe. Namaste mga sis.😊

^Malamang sa ni-rent mo na towel  :)  Just bring your own towel next time, it's more hygienic that way.

Bring your own mat (or mat towel)  if mats are provided. If those are rashes and not breakouts. Kasi if breakouts, pwedi rin dahil sa heat. But that is good because parang you are undergoing detox :).  I used to do hot power yoga wherein mats are provided. But I make sure to bring my own towel to cover the mat.

^I have low back pain, when I went to the GP for a consultation, I was advised to try core muscle strengthening by engaging in Yoga or Pilates or other activities that would strenghthen my core muscles before trying to have any tests.  I tried yoga, and narelieve nya yung pain. Now I get pain if I miss a yoga practice. hehe.
