Anyone doing/have done the first five saturdays devotion to the immaculate heart of mary? ang alam ko lang is yung first friday (nine consecutive, for the sacred heart of jesus). meron pa lang first saturday. i just dont know kung makaka start ako next month.

2 major prayers were answered ever since I started praying the express memorare. Thank you God for all the favours received. Thank you Mother Mary for praying for me.

Sis question... How do you strengthen your devotion to her? And how do you pray the express memorare? Ako kasi, sorry for the term pero, I get bored kasi nga paulit-ulit yung petition. What I did is i parted my petitions in to 9 and then consolidate them in my 10th memorare (I offer an extra memorare ).

One way to strengthen our devotion to our Mother Mary is yung magparticipate sa Family Rosary Crusade. We pray as a family.

Ang ginagawa ko sis since ayoko malito lito i write my petitions/intentions sa paper then ayun when i pray the memorare rinerecite ko muna lahat lahat na kaya ang haba haba ng dasal ko, then dagdagan ko na lang if may nagpapadasal saken. Para wala ako makaligtaan.

On the 10th day I pray one extra memorare and then magrorosary ako as my thanksgiving prayer kasi diba sis sometimes di pa tapos ang novena may nasasagot na agad na prayer so ganon ginagawa ko.

^Okies... Siguro I am not really in to praying the rosary... Kahit na indulgence ang isa sa promise when you pray it daily... What I do na lang is I always mention her when I pray in the morning.

Hmmmm... Sige na nga I'll recite it all na lang ulit kahit pa-ulit-ulit. Nitong nakaraan kasi I felt I got bored and parang nanawa ako kakaulit ko nung petitions ko... To avoid that I parted them in 9 parts... Kahit na ang sagot ko lagi kapag may nagtatanong how to pray it ay ulit-ulitin kada memorare. Ahehe! Hindi masunod ang sariling payo. Anyways siguro I should really just sit and meditate whenever I pray it na lang at hindi na sa byahe. Thanks sis!

for anyone interested, you can also pray the 'Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary' i think this prayer is shorter kung di pa kaya mag rosary. maraming available na instructions online

sabi sa nabasa ko "The Chaplet may be prayed taking one sorrow per day for a week, or reciting the entire chaplet all at one time (or in one day)."

I got inspired from this thread. On and off ako sa pagpray ng rosary. My priest friend said that in order for you not to get bored when praying the rosary try to imagine a person you ant to pray for for each bead aside from the petition you say in each mystery. In this way you are able to pray for 50 persons! Imagine dami mo napagpray. Minsan kasama diyan ang president natin, hahaha!

I don't remember any big miracles pero everytim i say, Mama Mary, help me/us, i feel secured, safe and confident that Mama Mary and Papa Jesus are with me.

When I am really feeling down and feeling hopeless my prayers aren't heard I call to her and nagsusumbong ako na parang bata sa nanay niya. And then I am ok again

sa mga na-research ko online ang dapat talaga ay mag-meditate sa per mystery while reciting, pero like a lot of people hirap rin ako gawin yan. besides sa suggestion ni sachagirl, which is really good lalu na if you are praying for an intention, you can also focus on praying for the 'lesson' nung mystery na yun pagdating sa 'pray for us' part ng hail Mary.

halimbawa sa joyful mysteries: the annunciation, the lesson is submission to Gods will. the visitation, the lesson is love of neighbor, etc... yung mga lessons, nakuha ko sa net. yung ibang tao (siguro advance na) nakukuha nila yung lesson through meditation.

di ba may line sa salve regina "may we imitate what they contain," for me yan ang ibig sabihin nun, yung lessons ng mysteries.

ako naman, this is how I meditate on every mystery

sorrowful mysteries, I meditate on things that make me sad or sorrow. Iniisip ko mga problema ko sa buhay na gusto ko idulog sa kanya. I do not pray na alisin nya ang mga problemang yan, I pray na bigyan ako ng strength para malampasan and at the same time, learn from the experience.

for joyful mysteries, iniisip ko yung mga bagay that makes me happy, like husband/kids, I pray for their health, safety etc etc.

mysteries of light, I pray for enlightenment for the things I cannot understand, why are they happening to me, etc etc. I pray for strength, wisdom, courage

glorious mystery, I'm always amaze by the things God created for us, in my mind. I glorified God and thank him for all the things He has created for us.

Sis @quinone dapat talaga ganun we reflect each lessons of each mystery kaya lang same here parang namamadali ako minsan sa pagpray.

Ss @mariz11 yung imagining a person or a scene is part of meditating. Based din diyan ang ignatian prayer.

Sis @bluish_mommy, yup i do that, too. I think of my current situations based dun s mga mysteries. And yes, mas maganda talaga to pray for strength instead of praying to remove the problems or trials. In that way kasi we share in the sufferings of Christ.

Btw, i do remember now the miracle of praying the rosary. My brother is starting to get hooked on drugs. As in everyday for a year or two yata yun nagpray ako ng rosary. Sabi ko nga kahit maging born again kapatid ko ok lang mother mary basta maalis ng kapatid ko pagda drugs. And ayun nga tinigil na niya pagda drugs at nagkataon din na umalis na kami s lugar na yun. Tapos naging OFW siya. And now maayos naman na buhay niya. Praise Jesus!

hello sisters !share ko rin lang karanasan ko sa paghingi ng tulong kay Mama Mary na ilapit kay Jesus ang aming hiling.2009 hanggang August 2014 sobrang gipit kami because after mag ofw ng husband ko(hindi nya natapos contract nya because of some conflicts and immaturity sa aming 2).walang naging regular job ang husband ko dito sa ating bansa,ako naman natali sa bahay dahil nabuntis,nanganak,nagaalaga..homemaker baga,I keep praying kay God  na magkaroon ng maayos na work ang asawa ko pero ganun pa rin minsan meron,minsan wala.minsan prayer ko pa ganito..ang yaman mo God,hindi naman sumusuko asawa ko sa pag hanap ng work pero wala pa rin siyang maayos na trabaho,hindi mo man lang sya mabigyan.after nun mag sorry rin ako kasi sa dami ng biyaya ng Diyos sa akin,may ganun akong attitude sa ating mahal na Panginoon,hingi lang ako ng hingi kay Lord pero hindi ko naman sinisikap na sumunod sa kalooban nya,hindi ko sinisikap na malinis ang aking sarili,ang parte ko na piliin ang Diyos ay hindi ko nagagawa so naisip ko noon na humingi ng tulong sa kanyang Ina,and nagdecide na magabroad ang asawa ko ulit.pero habang nag aaply kelangan pa rin magwork at wala sya noon.dun na nagdecide ang mother in law ko na deboto kay Mama Mary,naging President pa sya ng Legion of Mary before sa Parish namin na mag Block rosary at iakyat sa amin ang Imahe ng ating Mahal na ina,kasama namin ang biyenan ko sa pagrorosary ng ilang gabi hanggang sa kaming Pamilya na lang.sabi ko sa mga anak ko na ipagpray ninyo si Papa kay Mama Mary na ihingi sya ng tulong kay Jesus na magkaroon ng regular work dito sa atin at work sa abroad,gabi gabi yun,Alam po ninyo hanggang sa makaalis ang asawa ko papuntang abroad last September 2014.never  po syang nawalan ng work para sa aming pang araw araw na pangangailangan at ang picture po ni Mama Mary ay  dinikit nya sa workplace nya dun sa abroad.Praised be Jesus and Mary!

^Yes sis. And we come to Jesus through Mama Mary. She is our intercessor to Jesus and God. The same with the saints. Mahirap talaga i-explain ang Catholic Faith. Pero as far as I know we all need someone to pray for us. And unlike our friends, families and loved ones Mama Mary and all the angels and saints don't need to do human stuff anymore. Nasa heaven na sila with God which makes praying for them a lot easier and more focused compared to us na kailangan pa matulog at kumain, etc. We don't pray to them like we always say. What we do is ask for their help to pray for us

When you feel like you don't have someone to pray for you you can always call on to Mama Mary and the saints to pray for us and to lead and guide us closer to God and Jesus

If that's still an unacceptable explanation then please just respect our faith and pray for us. We'll pray for you as well sis.

we should go to first saturday masses (first friday is for the reparation of the sacred heart of Jesus), for the reparation of the immaculate heart para sa mga hindi naniniwala na dapat i-honor si mama mary. honoring is not worshiping. as Jdamar2015 said, "...tulong kay Mama Mary na ilapit kay Jesus..."
