Made some and lost some trading basuras this week. Overall, made my-car-gets-new-rims-and-tires money.

We're back up over 7200 again and it looks like it's time go back to blue chips again. I don't know if I should go back to mining/gambling stocks or wait for the first trading day of SSI. I'm leaning towards the latter because SSI has been a hot topic. Sentiment is good and sometimes, that's all that's needed!

This is not the time to re-invest, top-up, or add more to your position in equities at all. The market is extremely volatile -- it has been since we broke 7k. This is why I have been hesitant to encourage people to invest in the stock market/equity funds. Baka maipit sa taas. Mabuti pa yung buy high then sell higher, kaysa sa buy high, watch market drop, play the blaming game, then hold until god knows when.

Now is the time to be cautious. Lock-in a percentage of your gains. Keep some in case we go back up to 7k, but also keep watch for in case we fall lower. If we go back up, then buy again -- this is the safe way to get back into the market. If we fall further, get out, no looking back.

Stock market ngayon? Hindi ba ok mag invest sa sm or even magtop ups sa mf(equity)? Balak ko kasi sana pagkuha ng bonus dun ko lalagay.. Sa december pa nga lang yun and normally pag december matataas ata ang price ng mga stocks dahil active ang mga consumers..

Ask ko na rin where do you read news re stock market? U seem to be well read sa mga news sa stocks.. If not updated din.. Yang ang weakness ko kasi di ko mabantayan mga stocks ko or makasagap ng mga news (for new stocks investing opportunities) kasi di ko lam kung san mghahanap.. Normally kasi i have a company in mind lang tapos hanap2 news sa kanya.. Ganun din ba kayo?

^General overview: we just recovered from a correction, and although the fear has somewhat dissipated, we are not out of the woods yet. 7400 is still a major resistance. If a sell-off happens if we reach 7400 again, then it might be a sign that that's as high as we're going to go. If we break 7400 and break it with conviction, then it's clear skies.

If you're a long-term investor (hold positions for 5 years and up), you can basically invest in your chosen blue chips anytime. SM is a good pick. The play is different if you're a position, swing, and day trader. Also different if the stocks you hold are growth stocks, fad stocks, or basura stocks.

About the index being high because of "active consumers" in December: who told you that? That is simply not true. Just look back to last year, December was the worst month for equities.

I get my news where everyone else gets their news: from the internet. Facebook pa nga eh. Hilig ko lang magbasa. Pero in my experience, most times, it's not about the news. It's about the trends. How people feel about a stock. Minsan, kahit anong good news ilabas ng company, pero ayaw talaga ng investors, walang mangyayari sa stock na yun. Look at Century Properties: not even Paris Hilton coming to Manila could kick it back to life.

sisses, anyone here who uses the S.A.M. investing method endorsed by Bo Sanchez? how do you do it?

^ ako sis, im no expert though, pero finofollow ko lang yung buy below price then benta pag inadvise na ni Bo, I buy more pag sobrang dip  though merun din akong binibili na hindi inadvise ni Bo hehe.

I'm  trading na rin.  but  I'm  try to  avoid  emotional  trading.  medyo na discover ko meron  pa kong  konti... nag kakakamali parin.

newbie din ako, hehe. alien language sa akin ang stocks. i don't aim to trade, i just want to invest. and i think SAM is the safest strategy for someone like me. i think!

today, i sold stocks for the first time-- MWC. sabi ko kasi, the moment na tumaas sya nang kaunti sa presyong binili ko, ibebenta ko sya. guess what? i earned P100. haha!

 Yung pinakacheapest ang merun ako 495 yata per month,hati kame ng kaofficemate ko hehe, kumita na din naman kahit paanu, kakatakot kc magtrade kaya invest din lang ako.

Hello, question po sa mga members ng TRC... I am intersted in subcribing coz I'm an absolute newbie, I checked and the fees for Philippine and International residents are different (Php 497 and 997, respectively). I just want to know why the fee are different?

I was ready to subscribe for php 497, but now that I found out that I have to pay php 500 more just because I live outside the Philippines, I'm having second thoughts. Is it worth paying almost 1,000 pesos monthly?

Kainis naman yang 7400 na harang sa PSEi, hindi matibag-tibag. Dami pa rin nagbebenta kapag umaabot dun.

sis yumi, ako i'm playing by ear re: truly rich club... research-research muna. at the back of my mind kasi, iniisip ko baka naman kaya ko nang mag-isa... (wish?!) parang bagay lang din na gustong bilhin, nagpipigil muna sa emosyon, muni-muni munang mabuti.

wag sanang mabuyag, green naman lahat ako ngayon...isa lang ang deep dark red :-(

sis goldengoose, can you direct me to any good site to research? Mejo nanghihinayang kasi ako sa almost 1,000 php na pwede na ipandagdag sa funds eh.

I really don't know anything about stocks but I wanted to start investing na kasi if I wait until I go to the Philippines to open MU/UITF accounts which are safer for newbies from what I read, it may take years bago pa ako makapagsimula. That's why I want to start na with COL which I can do online kahit maliit lang, at least I'm already investing diba?

Medyo natatakot ako sa risks pero I'm willing to learn naman, I just need to know what and where to look in order for me to get the know hows and stuff.
