i think the bank need you to open such account for that trade account of yours. maybe the funds that you will use on the transaction of your trading will be put there.

The direct account is for the BPI Trade use alone. You cannot withdraw from it through atm. Like for example if you sold your shares and want to withdraw your money, it will be credited to your other account which in your case sa passbook account mo.

^Basura play: what stock market players are making money out of now are third-liner, non-blue chips, "basura" stocks. These are the stocks that are highly speculative, have no record of profitability, and are extremely volatile. You can make a lot but also lose a lot of money in trading these stocks. Since blue chips are still recovering from the correction last week, players have shifted to these third-liners in the meantime.

Bought in MWC. May nagsabi last month na magkaka-water deficit daw tayo next year. lol. kawawa naman ang pinas, may power crisis na, may water crisis pa? (pero NK, narinig ko 'to sa news).

not sure if i made a good decision by buying in sa MWC, though. it used to be blue chip pero nabump off yata ng MER sa PSEi. any thoughts on MWC, sisses?

my other bluechip bets- MEG, AC and BLOOM.

my medyo risky bet- MARC.

Took profits in MARC at the start of the month. Now sold all to protect capital. Maybe will go back to it when nickel prices recover in December or January. Maybe.

Now only holding 1 power stock blue chip, 1 blue-chip-in-the-making second liner, and 1 very active basura.

Thinking of getting out of the market. Some personal/family issues need my full attention now.

Nickel is still in demand, and given that nickel companies have to stop operations in this coming rainy season, the price of nickel can only go up when supply dwindles. This is just a price war. However, I don't want to play it. I want to protect my capital.

I'm just riding on basuras now, making the most I can before getting out. I need to focus on something else muna.

Hi sis! I've been eyeing these two also. Bought some from URC already. Planning to buy URC again next month, and some JFC. JFC has plans of putting up more branches overseas. And URC has a new joint venture with Danone, a French food and beverage company.

I bought some! 500 lang napunta sakin, I requested for 1000 kaya lang oversubscribed kaya ni-raffle nalang nila.

More of consumer-related stocks ang port ko ngayon.

I'm not really sure if this is the correct thread to post this. We currently own Petron stocks & we wanted to sell it. Just dont know how...we do have the stock certificates. can anyone help us pls? Thanks in advance!

^You can try asking brokers if they accept stock certificates. COL Financial, First Metro Sec, Philstocks, BPI -- your pick.

There are other requirements too if the certificates are not in your name or if the original owner has passed away. Mabilis lang yan basta kumpleto dokumento. Pwede mo pa nga ipang-open ng online trading account.

I'm learning a lot from this thread! Before I had zero knowledge about stocks since I just rely on our broker or banker to recommend what stocks to purchase. At least ngayon meron na akong idea. But definitely a newbie pa rin.

Asked our banker to purchase SSI stocks for us. I'll find out next week if we got our requested number of shares.
