sis ikaela, actually di naman required na magpasa ako ng scanned copy ng forms. kaso i just wanted to make sure na tama na lahat to save time and money kung may kulang o unfilled up tapos ibabalik uli sa akin.

pero dahil ang tagal nila (3 days na akong naghihintay ng feedback pero wala pa), i'll go ahead and mail the documents today.

thank you btw, dahil sa mga posts mo nakatulong sa pagbukas ng isip ko re: stocks. akala ko automatic na high-maintenance lahat ng stocks. may investment style pala na hindi ka kailangan mag-actively trade.

sa COL ba, tutulungan ka nilang pumili ng stocks na papasukan? sa EIP, may recommendations ba sila?

COL won't help you directly, but they have stock picks and a model portfolio to copy. As of last update, their top 5 stocks with buy ratings and the highest upsides are SMPH, MEG, AC, BDO, and ALI. But they're just suggestions. Their #1 pick has been MBT for some time, but it has hardly moved in over a year. They dropped DNL because it has reached its target price, but it has continually gone up since then.

Whew. How's everyone doing? It's been so very red. PSEi's upward trend is still intact, but bearish divergences are everywhere. Are you taking profits, lightening, or still buying? Very obviously a basura ceiling play today!

My picks have been thankfully resilient, and my nickel and casino stock are even thriving. A little iffy on property stocks, but they did fly the past week so maybe it's time to rest.

Sabi ko I'll take profits at 7400, but jusko, hindi man lang nag-stay dun for one day when we hit it. Parang hinalikan lang then bagsak to 7290+ level.

Tapos DMC announced na the ex-date and payment date of their 400% stock dividend. My "hobbyist" friend told me na I should expect the price of DMC to be down by around 40% lalo na pag papalapit ang ex-date.

So ang plan ko na lang ay hintay bumaba ang presyo ng mga bilihin, saka na ko mag-shopping

Locked in more profits because I'm human and I got scared. Now thankful of the past times when I needed money. Nainis pa ako nun kasi sayang yung gains, but ngayon buti na lang pala kinailangan yung pera kundi ipit na yun ngayon.

I'm still hoping for a bounce, but at this point, all we can do is go where the market wants to go.

Red rin ang port ko.  Sayang yung green last few weeks, sana nagprofit lock rin ako ;(
Anyway, sabi nila, it pays to wait. Kaya tyaga lang to wait...tataas rin yan eventually.

still green kay BDO and DNL...BDO 2 years ko ng kasama si DNL naman 1 year...yung iba pula na...
me possibility ba na mas bumaba pa mga to sa current average price ko? those two are the reasons if bakit gain padin ako ngayon,kahit konti :-)
pumasok sa SM ng hindi ganun karunong  still learning....

as of this writing bloody red din ang DOW,NASDAQ and S&P 500. So malamang mas bumaba pa index natin. connected ba sila?

bought DMC yesterday ... ex date today ... problem is .. DMC changed their board lot and price. now each share costs only 15 pesos at boardlot 100. While pricing yesterday was at 74 pesos at boardlot 10.

anyare?  anyone knows who can shed light on this?

ganyan din nangyari sa akin sa SCC... malamang magbibigay sila ng malaking stock dividends kaya yung value nya bumaba.

E-mailed COL Financial earlier today kasi nagulat ako naging 14.8 na lang siya! Mini heart attack. Forgot that today is the ex-date of their 400% stock dividend. This is their reply:

When a stock dividend is given, the value of each share will be diluted (diminished) as a result of the increased number of shares issued.
 
For example, if you originally have 100 shares with market value of P1.00 per share and a 100% stock dividend is issued, you will receive an additional 100 shares for a total of 200 shares. However, the market value per share becomes P0.50.  Thus, the original value of your shares remains the same at P100.
 
                  100 shares x P1.00 = P100
                  200 shares x P0.50 = P100
 
These market price adjustments caused by Stock Dividends take effect on the Ex-date.
 
Please be informed that DMC has issued a 400% stock dividend with Ex-date today, October 14, 2014.  An issued stock dividend will adjust downwards the market price of a stock by the following rate: 
 
New Post-Dividend Market Price            = Old pre-dividend market price / (1+Stock Dividend rate)
                                                          = 74.00 / (1 + 4.00)
                                                          = 14.80 (rounded down to nearest fluctuation rate)
 
Thus, the closing price of  DMC for yesterday at 74.00 is now reflected as 14.80.  Likewise, all historical prices are adjusted accordingly in our Java Chart to properly display charting movements.

Your Gains/Loss column will be adjusted once the additional DMC shares are given to your account which was announced tentatively on November 7, 2014.

so even out lang even with the additional stocks issued, so hopefully, by the time the dividends were issued, prices will climb up to at least P20 pesos ...

This is not the time to re-invest, top-up, or add more to your position in equities at all. The market is extremely volatile -- it has been since we broke 7k. This is why I have been hesitant to encourage people to invest in the stock market/equity funds. Baka maipit sa taas. Mabuti pa yung buy high then sell higher, kaysa sa buy high, watch market drop, play the blaming game, then hold until god knows when.

Now is the time to be cautious. Lock-in a percentage of your gains. Keep some in case we go back up to 7k, but also keep watch for in case we fall lower. If we go back up, then buy again -- this is the safe way to get back into the market. If we fall further, get out, no looking back.
