Magkano po yung tret sa Watson?

I stopped using tret na for quite some time and I am thinking of going back after summer. I just want to ask if do I need to start at the lowest percentage again or I can just continue with the percentage I was using before?

Hello po. Ask lang. Dati kasi gumagamit po ako ng daily peel solution ng Belo( which contains 0.25% of Tretinoin). Liquid form sya. And nawala naman yung CCs ko dati pero kasabay na rin kasi nun dati regular glyco facial.
Ngayon po nagstop ako bumalik CCs ko. Planning sana to use tretinoin na OTC. Since wala na ata 0.25% sa mga drugstore(or meron pa ba?) Okay na kaya ako magstart sa 0.5% which is yung Retin-A? May iba pa po ba kayong alam na brand na okay? Newbie po dito and a guy here:)

^ derma clinics have 0.025 bro. my mom have magically produced a 0.025 but unfortunately okay na ako sa 0.05 so parang pointless for me to go down to 0.025. ako i started with 0.05 but i did it super gradually. like for 1 month, 1x a week lang, then next month 2x a week. as in sobrang bagal ko. when the summer ends i'll be resuming my tret (i stopped and i'm at the everyday/every other day routine na), i'll be starting it sa 1x a week for a month. sana matiis ko siya. haha.

Hehe salamat sa reply! Bumili na ako ng retin-A na 0.05%. And like sa nababasa ko dito ill start slowly. Although nung nagtret naman ako na peel solution medyo di naman ako nagbreakout kaso regular din kasi facial ko nun. Sana ngayon di ganun kalala ang purging.

It depends. Basis is on how your skin reacts to tret. If you are red and peeling, NO. if you are using it every other day but you are shedding like crazy, NO. if you are using tret daily and your skin seems to tolerate it, YES.

Safest is, give tret a run for a month or so. If you have no problems with tret, sige get a facial. But only the basic ones. No scrubbing, massaging, or masks of any kind. Simple cleaning and extraction will do. Me, i get basic facials every month and I am on tret for over a year. DAILY. My skin cannot seem to tolerate .1% so now I'm using 0.05%. My skin is happy. No peeling, no breakouts.

From day one of my affair with tret, i waited out until the purging stopped - mga 4 to 6 weeks yata yung ugly phase. When skin became clearer, plumper, and with no shedding sa most areas, I signed up for a facial agad. I even get pimple injections that time pag may super angry cystic ako. Okay naman. I just request for lesser steam time because mas madali humapdi yung skin ko since i started using tret. From then on until now, I get my facials on a regular basis na. I also get chemical peels and power peels regularly. Tretinoin is really awesome. You just have to endure the ugly phase talaga. It will pass. And it's all worth it.

Just don't forget to inform your aesthetician or MD that you are on tret. They will surely go easy on the procedure (and sales talk) if you are.

Sis, I am also using Retin-A every other night since alternate siya with vitamin C serum. I am planning to have a TCA/glycolic peel. Di ko pa sure kung alin sa dalawa kasi yung TCA super visible peeling eh. If I will have a glycolic peel done once every 2 weeks, or a TCA peel, do I need to stop for the meantime muna yung tret ko? how many days prior and after?

it depends too sis on the depth of the tca or glycolic peel. If you'll get a superficial peel, stopping retin-a for 3 days or even a day prior will do. Then once the peeling from tca or glycolic subsides, you can resume. Normally mga 3 days to a week. It really depends on how your skin reacts. So it's still best to get any chemical peel in-clinic. I do not advise any home peel while you're on retin-a. Ako kasi from SA peel, i stop for 3 days prior and 3 days after to avoid any irritation. Power peel just a day. So far this has worked for me. For reference i have dry skin and i used to shed a lot of skin from tret.

Once a week works for me. Start last year sa 3x then twice, then none for 2 months (kasi sobrang init) balik sa 2x, now once na more than a month and wala naman nabago. Plumper ang cheeks but sa firming not so much because I stopped my AHA due to the hotter than hot weather. Start uli AHA this week.

Anong percentage ka lagi if glycolic peel sis? Ako kasi dating nung nagpaderma ako 20-30% yung linagay. Tas mga 2 coatings lang. And by the way, yung vitamin C serum and Retin-A ko kasi alternative sila lagi at night. So okay lang ba i-apply yung Vitamin C the night after kong magpa-peel? Say May 10 ako nagpa-peel, by night ng May 11 pwede nako agad mag Vitamin C? Or stop din muna for like 3 days like Retin-A?

^I don't get glycolic peels anymore. I used to but I realized my skin gets more irritated with AHAs than BHAs. Plus BHAs address my skin issues better like clogged pores and redness. 20-30% glycolic peels are mild peels so you should not worry about too much skin shedding. Baka nga wala pa if you stick to that percentage.

Basta the rule is no "actives" after a peel. Vitamin C is an active so give it a pause post-chemical peel. My gauge is 3 days because if there is any reaction from the peel, it would have subsided by the third day already. Wala nang hapdi, shedding, itch, or redness. Just always watch out for those signs before you resume your vitamin c and retin-a and even toners. I just use a mild cleanser and a mild moisturizer during this 3-day rest.

Anyway, your current regimen is okay naman especially if you just started out with retin-a. But I was told that the best combo is vitamin c serum and sunscreen in the morning, then retin-a at night. Logic is we need to protect the skin in the AM. And obviously sunscreen is against UV, vitamin C is a protective antioxidant. At night we repair the skin with tretinoin because it's definitely unstable with light. This combo works for me. I use vitamin C in the AM, retin-a at PM. Just never together because they would cancel each other out.

Actually, marami na rin akong nabasa saying na Vit C is good to use during daytime plus sunscreen. Hesitant lang ako kasi oily skin ko and the serum that I use is OST Vit. C yung korean brand, and it really feels sticky after application. Though nagssubside naman siya after a few minutes. Pero ayoko lang i-try kasi baka lalong maging sticky face ko throughout the day. What brand do you use ba?

Oh Obagi. Yan yung 4k plus right? Gravity ang price. Hehe. Pero I've read some reviews naman na okay naman daw effect. For how long mo siya nagagamit before siya mag-oxidized? Sayang kasi diba kung after a few months lang itatapon na since oxidized na yung product.

^i keep my skincare (pati perfumes and masks lol) products in a mini fridge without ilaw. helps in prolonging their shelf life. My vitamin c serum lasts me 3 months or a little beyond that with daily use. Di naman sya nagooxidize sa ganung period.

Nababasa ko na nagpapair kayo ng VIt C and also AHA/BHA with tret.
ano ano at San po kayo nakakabili ng mga products nyo?
yung glycolic na toner hirap na rin ako maghanap hehe
i don't know if pwede dito itong tanong ko pero yung mga naging maganda nyo pong combi with tret, share naman po pati saan mabibili
