May free lactation consultant ba when you give birth sa st. Lukes qc? Or at least would the nurses teach you how to properly latch etc?. I'll be giving birth at slqc, what's included in the mother and baby kit? Para alam ko lang what i need to bring pa with me.

Hi sisters, gave birth in SLMC QC and experience was SUPERB! As in thumbs up on professionalism and customer service What I personally love with SLMC is their concern and personal touch with the patients. Yes, they have Lactation Assistant and would give you tips on proper latching etc. Actually Pediatrician pa talaga pumunta samin to train me how. Then the morning after, yung lactation assistant na yung nag-prep pa samin. Basta ok ang SLMC QC! International standards.

We had a tour of the HRPU, Labor and Delivery Rooms (silip lang) and Private Rooms sa Maternity unit. May Birthing Room/Suite pala sa SLMC QC pero iisa lang. Share ko lang mga rates -

HRPU - 5,500 for 24 hours
Labor Room - 1,100 for 24 hours
Birthing Room/Suite - 12,000+ net daw for 24 hours

Will share my experience and complete expenses once I give birth.

Please do sis twinkle belle. Okay ba birthing room nila? I should do that next time i have my check up, mag tour and mag check ng rooms.

May option ba na di muna i room in si baby kahit no complications naman? Para nurse mag alaga tapos punta nalang sakin pag feeding time na?

sis vain_kixie, I was not able to check it out kasi may tao daw. Yes, do the tour kasi sobrang nakampante ako noong nakita ko iyong mga rooms. Just go straight sa Maternity Unit nila sa 2F likod ng elevator.

We had a tour din sa SLMC QC. Napasok namin ang birthing suite and medyo nadisappoint ako. Parang masikip kasi medyo mababa ang ceiling sa tingin namin.. mas nagustuhan ko pa yung suites na outside the maternity section. For 7-10k na suite, mas maluwag and parang mas comfy yung ibang suite. Birthing suite is 12k yata, advantage lang nya is di na palipat-lipat from labor to recovery, etc.

For labor, hubby and I are considering the HRPU para kasama ko sya from labor pa lang. Pag sa labor room kasi, di pwede may kasama, bale tatawagin na lang sya pag manganganak na tapos sa delivery room na magkasama.

For the recovery, pinagiisipan pa namin kung HRPU ulit or sa recovery room na lang ako mag-isa since magre-rest lang naman ako. Para maka-rest din si hubby and ma-ready na yung room/suite, pwede na sya mauna pumasok dun.

For the room, we're considering the suites na outside the maternity section. If naubusan kami, we might just get the bigger private rooms. For sure ayaw namin sa small private room kasi nasisikipan kami.

Will give more feedback pag nanganak na ako, in about 1-3weeks. Hehe..

sis Ma. Regina, puwede naman siguro anytime but I would suggest na go there sa morning. Hindi ako puwede sa pakacge pa (sayang!) first time mom eh.

Kami naman, weekend afternoon nagpunta. After our checkup. Mababait naman ang mga nurses dun. If you want to see other rooms na wala sa Maternity Section, pwede kayo punta sa Admissions sa may entrance, then ask ka anong mga rooms ang pwede tingnan (sample ng mga types of rooms na gusto mo i-check). Dun kami nagpunta para ma-check ang ibang suites.

Hi sisses, can you please share who's your OB sa SLMC QC and how much pf nya? I need an OB kasi for my check-up just for this month and although based overseas ako dito ko plan manganak.

my friend gave birth in st lukes  qc, sobrang maalaga sila in fairness, and sobrang friendly and supportive and magaling talaga mag-assist yung nurse. natutuwa nga ako sa perkiness nila.

Gave birth sa SLMC-QC about two weeks ago. Super-satisfied and happy with the service and the facilities. Last time I was hospitalized was grade school pa yata, and I'm kinda duwag and praning sa mga hospitals but my experience in St. Luke's made me feel very safe and at ease. The Doctors, nurses, aides, etc were courteous, professional and pleasant.

For labor, we stayed sa HRPU para kasama ko si hubby all throughout. We stayed there for about 12hrs before it was decided to do a C-section on me kasi until 8cm lang dilation ko and ayaw din bumaba ni baby sa cervix.

Hubby was with me sa OR and he was able to take lots of pics of me and baby from every angle possible, haha. He cut the umbilical cord din. Then of course, me photoop sila sa photo wall ng St. Luke's, kasama na din ibang family members namin na naghintay sa labas. Malinis/maluwag/maliwanag din ang OR nila so hindi nakakatakot.

Medyo napatagal stay namin ni baby sa recovery room kasi tumaas bp ko during the operation (turned out I had pre-eclampsia during labor) so they wanted to monitor me for a couple more hours. mababait din mga nurses and aides dun. Si hubby sa room na lang nag-stay para matulog at magpahinga while nasa recovery kami. I gave birth around 1am, inakyat kami sa room around 10:30am.

We got the regular private room and the size was just right for us and our visitors. Maalaga and mababait ang mga nurses and doctors. Nagpapakilala sila before start ng shift and always ready to lend a helping hand pag kelangan (even for mundane stuff like sa pagchange ng baby diapers na madaming poop, hehe).

We stayed for 2 nights sa hospital. Gave birth 1am ng Saturday, got discharged ng Monday. As first-time parents, we really had no idea ano mga kelangan gawin, but we didn't have to worry kasi the hospital staff (medical and non-medical) will assist talaga. Food is not bad din, masarap actually, hehe..

Total bill namin, I think, was around php155K net of Philhealth. Kasama na ang PF dito (php60k for OB, php28k for Anesthesiologist). Kasama na din around php8k for Baby/Pedia.

bagaholic_chewy normal or cs ka? Kanino ka humingi ng permission na sumama si hubby sa OR? May additional charge ba pagkasama si hubby? Sinong ob mo? Thanks!

^ CS, sis. Sa St. Luke's, sa pagkakaalam ko kasama talaga ang husband sa OR/DR during delivery, whether normal or CS.  unless ayaw ng patient or di kaya ng hubby mo (baka naman kasi himatayin sya sa loob at makadagdag pa sa hassle).

Sa labor, pwede mo din sya kasama if sa HRPU ka magli-labor (me addl bayad kasi sa HRPU, me own room ka, etc). Pag sa usual labor room, di pwedeng me kasama.

Congratulations bagaholic_chewy!!! Thank you for the feedback. Balak ko din sa HRPU ako para kasama si Hubby. Sa QC ba sila na bahala sa first outfit ni baby? Like sa swaddle blanket, sa cap etc? May nakikita kasi ako online sa mga blogs yung mga baby, yung outfit nakasulat "im a st lukes baby".

^ yes, sis. Sa kanila yung swaddle blanket and cap ni baby. Pero sa pagkakaalala ko, walang "I'm a St. Luke's Baby" na nakasulat sa swaddle or sa cap. Pati yung sa friend ko na nanganak sa Global, wala din nakasulat.. sa photo wall ko lang nakita yung ganung "I'm a St. Luke's baby"..

FTM here and nakakaexcite ang stories 😊 I'm due Oct pa and sa SLMC QC din. I have an appointment this Monday sa OB and try ko din to do an ocular sa mga rooms nila. I am so excited! 😊 Yung asawa ko ayaw sumama sa delivery room kasi daw natatakot siya. Hahaha. Mga first timers kasi. Hehe. I am sure oag dating ng day na yun, wala din siyang choice but to go with me.
