Sis bzbee i think pag si Chico and Del at least 40k. Sila Sam YG are 30-40k each. Ganun yung going rate basta may pangalan. So i hope your wedding budget is well over 1M hehe

thanks for the info sparklingjewel!  even if our budget is over 1M or not, i think its just a matter of priorities. also wanted to make an informed decision before ruling them out. anyway, we're also considering ms darlene but we're still searching.

You're right sis, priorities differ. Then again, it would be unwise to spend 40k on a bigtime emcee and serve a poor menu, diba? Just saying. Guests care most about other things, so it would be wise to spend proportionately. Hope it helps.

sis ang sad naman kung popular yung emcee then poor menu. that wouldn't be wise at all. i meant other suppliers na less important than food naman. anyway, thanks for your help.

 I attended a wedding na Boys Night Out ang emcees... sobrang saya!  even the old folks benta ang mga jokes nila  if we could afford those three to host our wedding, hindi na kame mag dadalawang isip, we'll definitely get them

yes sis, nag inquire na kami. as of last week, free pa si ms darlene sa wedding date namin. we'll try to meet her next month pag d na busy.

Yung friend ko si ms. Darlene ang host nung wedding niya. She is not very satisfied with her kasi lagi daw nagmamadali at masungit daw sa mga suppliers, at nagsumbong pala ang mga suppliers...hihi!

hala totoo? hahaha baka eto yung mga suppliers na hindi sya satisfied sa performance? medyo OC kasi si darlene. she coordinated some weddings before so she's well aware about what needs to be done..

hehe I was also able to attend a wedding na si Darlene ang host she's ok naman kaya lang mejo hirap shang dalhin yung crowd  im not saying she's at fault, maybe because the crowd is really difficult to please?  one of the entourage was telling us mejo ngarag sila kase pressured sila ni Darlene to be lively and to cheer up the crowd e kaso lang mahiyain din sila hehe

Sis Ice Princess, I know what you mean kasi my friend had Ms. Darlene as her wedding host. Okay naman but I think pag mahiyain relatives (like dun sa friend ko), medyo hassle hehe. Ang friend ko and husband niya medyo game naman so walang problema for them, hindi naman na-feel pressured. Ang mother lang ata ni groom ang medyo na-off according to our after-party chikas. As a guest, happy naman overall. Agree also to the feeling na gusto ni Mam pulido ang program flow which is not a bad thing naman.

Recently attended a wedding where Joyce Abesamis was the host. I like her style - well-spoken English, classy and doesn't try too hard to please the crowd. Really pleasant!

Got Darlene as my wedding host..so-so lang..sa games lang nagenjoy yung mga guests.and also one of my supplier nga informed me na medyo masungit nga daw si Darlene.. Hindi kami maxadong close nung wedding ko, kasi puro si hubby ang bukambibig hehe..(bitter!!).. and may pagkaOC nga.. we change the program kasi a week before pero minor changes lang naman..o well hindi siya happy..parang napakaalaking abala nung ginawa ko e halleeerrr kasal ko naman yun..

Ms Joy Catubig is good..Siya yung host nung friend ko na kinasal last december..Puring puri siya ng mga guests.. funny pero may class.. no dull moments sa kanya and also namanage din niya na magstay yung mga guests until the end of program..Sayang booked na siya dun sa wedding date ko..
Kung available lang sana siya nung time na yun..siya na lang kinuha ko..

3,500 ang rate ng emcee ko. 5k kung may song numbers.

naging maganda kinalabasan ng program namin. at nakuha niya kung anong style ang gusto ko. yung walang dirty humor, classy but not trying hard to please the guests. it helped din siguro na OC ako sa program, lahat nang elements at details ng program na-scrutinize ko at nalaman niya kung ano ang gusto ko.

tinanggal ko yung garter removal kasi ayoko ng eksena na yun. i did not wear my garter pero may garter games din kami at bouquet toss na alternative ang style. maganda ang voice ng emcee namin at maayos ang English niya.

for 3,500 sabi ng husband ko, lugi daw emcee namin. sabi ko naman baka nagpapakilala pa lang kaya mababa pa ang rate. coordinator at events planner din siya. akala ng mga guests namin nanggaling lang sa iisang team yung coordinator at emcee namin kasi seamless yung communication nila. this is why sinasabi ko sa iba na dapat wag magstick sa well known suppliers, kasi kung nagstick ako sa mas sikat na emcee na una kong napagtanungan, magooverbudget ako sana at hindi ko pa nakilala si Froilan.

when i looked for an emcee, booked na lahat ng mga well known sa wedding industry, napilitan ako maghanap sa net. naresearch ko sa olx.ph si Froilan Calo. tinawagan ko siya right then and there kasi naintriga ako sa kanya. tsaka nagustuhan ko rin siya kasi malapit lang ang office niya sa house namin. pinuntahan namin siya agad, kasama ko ang mom ko,  para mainterview. di kami nadisappoint. binook ko agad siya the following day after talking to my fiance (kasi hindi nakasama fiance ko sa meeting).

Sobrang dependent talaga sa type of crowd ang type of emcee

Kung formal crowd, Darlene is very effective. And true, mappressure ang entourage pag mahiyain sila pero the entourage should've been informed by the couple kung ano gagawin nila spara hindi nila maramdaman yung "pressure". If you follow her template, no problem at all. Tedious pero its ideal na maaccomplish siya 2 months before the wedding. Changes should be done 1 month before pero syempre busy din tayo sa pagprepare minsan hindi nasusunod ang ideal haha

Joy catubig? Eto yung crowd na mahilig sa jokes. I guess? Kasi eto nababasa ko. Semi formal but more to casual side. No first hand experience so you may correct me if im wrong

I once dreamt na bno and hosts namin. But believe me, you do not want the crowd to rave more about the hosts than the couple or the wedding, right? Very entertaining. Saw them at a friend's wedding. Pero yun nga, mas bukambibig pa sila compared sa couple.
