^ sis... kapag nagoformula ka sa gabi, do you pump your breast?

according kasi sa mga nababasa ko, you might decrease your milk supply kasi you dont stimulate it at night...

ang finofollow kong rule is law of supply and demand... when you dont pump/latch, your body will think that you dont need to produce milk.....

so kahit super antok... i try my best to pump in the middle of the night. my times I skip bec nasosobrahan ako sa pagod/ tulog but i make sure na bumabawi akosa pagpump in the morning....

syempre nagmamatter pa rin lapag hydrated tayo....

im exclusive breastfeeding/exclusive pumping for a little over 2 months pa lang..... iniingatan ko not to decrease my milk supply... so far exclusive breastmilk na si baba and may konting ipon na milk na din for emergency purposes :)

^^try to feed the moment baby wakes up para energy will be spent on eating rather than playing. I follow a routine of eat, play, sleep then repeat. And yes the more you give formula, the more your body wont produce milk. He will wake up and bring the baby to my breast, naka side lying position. Then pag tapos na mag feed, siya mag buburp and balik na sa crib so baby. Ako tulog. Next madaling araw i dont wake my hubby up na. Again breastfeeding is patience talaga. You may also train your baby to sleep through the night para no need to supplement with formula dahil sa pagod.

I will try my best not to give formula

^sis vain_kixie kanina i tried side lying position and i think i can do it nga at night. Between 10pm to 3pm kasi super antok talaga ako so kapag nagigising siya between those hours formula talaga naibibigay namin sa kanya.

First three months mahirap talaga ang breastfeeding. Co sleeping kasi kami kaya I don't have to get up to feed him.

And yes, if you mix feed, it will eventually decrease your milk supply. I'm a working mom and I got back to work 2 months after I gave birth but LO has never tasted a drop of formula.

Geminitiger, meron mga online sellers ng manual pump para no need for you to go out of your way to buy. Pero dont expect ha na madaming agad lalabas using pump kasi 3 weeks old palang si baby, konti palang need niyang milk so your body wont produce much talaga unless you power pump. Just dont gauge the amount of milk you have with the amount of milk you get to pump, mas madami na eexpress ang baby compared to a pump. Try mo mothers milk tea para dumami milk mo. Dont be sad if you're mix feeding, although breastmilk is the best for babies there are other ways/forms naman of showing love to our babies.

Pag wala kang patience you will give up talaga. I almost did lalo na when i had lbm nung 2 weeks palang si baby pero ang pedia ko di pumayag na mag mix feeding kami kaya no choice ako mag pa breastfeeding talaga and now i thank her for it.

When it comes to weaning do you let the baby wean or you wean her/him off? Kasi yung baby ko medyo hindi talaga marunong mag bottle so i dunno if i should train him pa or pag 6 months transition him to a sippy cup para when i wean him pag 1 year old na siya eh naka sippy cup na siya.

^I sitll don't get the marmet technique. Hahaha. I'm still practicing hand expression and I think walang improvement. haha nakakapagod as in na after 1/2 oz switch na ko to pump. Pero after I pump, I still do hand expression para masaid kahit papano.

Member din ako ng BFP. True, madami kang matutunan dun.

>we are not supposed to pump before 6 weeks kasi hindi pa established and milk supply and pwedeng magka oversupply and mastitis (except for cases like nasa NICU si baby and di makapaglatch)
>1-1.5 oz per hour ang consumption ni baby while we are away (working, etc). And it will remain that way kahit pa 1 week, 1 month, or one year na si baby because unlike formula na we need to increase intake para ma absorb ng maayos ang nutrients, BM changes its composition to meet the baby's needs so no need to increase the milk intake.
>Exclusive breastfeeding means no formula, no water, no vitamins, no solids. This is for 6 mos and below. Occasional vaccine and medicine when baby's sick is okay.
>EBF babies don't need vitamins. Not even iron (except for babies na may medical condition talaga na iron deficiency)
>We are not supposed to clean the tongues of EBF babies. We might do more harm than good.
>No water for EBF babies.
>We actually don't need supplements to increase milk. Unli latching and frequent expression is enough (I still eat my homemade lactation cookies though)
>Hand expression is better than pump. Mas madami nakukuha if you perfect the technique and hindi masakit.

And many more. Hindi ko po ito gawa gawa (hehe). Nabasa ko lahat ito sa BFP. I highly recommend that group. Do some browsing on the FAQs, a little backreading, madami ka talaga matututunan. And if you need support, todo suporta talaga sila dun :)

But I agree, madaming info dun. Then nasa yo na if gusto no sundin or not. Syempre, at the end of the day, personal preference pa din. :)

Nakakapagod talaga sis.

Meron pang nag aask like my baby is sick, can i drink the medicine? Hoping it would pass through the bm. Parang duh talaga. Dati member ako but i unsubscibed kasi i realized that although im thankful i get to exclusively breastfeed hindi naman ako dead na dead na dapat breastmilk lang ipainom sa infants. Some mothers have valid reasons why they need to mix feed.

^ same tayo sis. Like ako, complete vaccinations si baby and I let her drink Polyvisol vitamins. And di ko na pinagtyagaan mag-cupfeed, bottles kami with bm. Hehe.. so far di naman nipple-confused si baby. :)

But, di ako umaalis sa BFP kasi naisip ko at least may means ako to get more info from the "experts" and to share experience din in case meron ako mako-contribute..

Medyo may bad reactions nga sila when you ask about bottle feeding. Dapat daw cup feeding, susmio! Bagaholic, when you're away how many ounces does your baby drink?

me too. member pa rin ako dun.
