^ Hi sis, I'm not sure ha pero I think it was when you chose to mix feed even after you got home. When babies cry even after feeding, minsan gusto lang nila maglatch to be close to their mom. Kami ng baby ko umaabot pa ata 1 hour latching when he was only a newborn. :)

I think 4-6 weeks ok na magpump. And if you're direct feeding, konti lang talaga mapa-pump mo. When I tried to pump while I'm with my baby, I only produce less than 1oz of milk, unlike pag nasa office ako, nakaka-6oz ako in a single pump session.

So far, so good. Hindi pa sya masyadong iyakin. I will be going back to work after 2 mos.ML (so 1 mo.na lang) kaya when he turned 3 weeks, practice ko na sya bottle feeding kasi I've heard and read stories na ayaw na mag feed sa bottle ng baby. After 10 secs tulog.

Tanong ko lang, how would you know kung abundant/kulang yung milk na napa-pump? mag 1 mo.baby ko, and pag mag pump ako at least 4 oz per pumping session for both breasts. minsan mas madami 5 oz o 6 oz. kanina 6 oz. Okay na kaya yun. I'm using manual pump pa lang, yung farlin. Planning to buy cimilre m1 sa august bago bumalik sa work.

I don't want to spend so much on formula when I have supply naman diba. Better na, libre pa. Pangatlo, I really love the bond we create through breastfeeding. I love looking at him when he feeds.

Hehe. Btw, I did not attend any bf classes, wala din lactation massage or anything. Purely research lang talaga. super helpful ng GT for me. Although it would've been helpful din sana if I was able to attend classes, kaya lang no time for me busy sa work.

^Sis pag sa ref up to 4 days daw. Sabi ng iba 3-5 days. Basta amuyin mo lang lagi and taste bago magdede to make sure okay pa. Hindi kelangan sa freezer kung i consume niya naman within 3 days. Ive read somewhere mas maganda kung ref lang kasi when freezing, it loses some of its nutrients.

If im not mistaken pwede hanggang 24 hrs yun. I have not tried this yet kasi di pa ko bumabalik sa work. And may ref kasi sa office.

Kaso kahit nag burp super lungad pa rin sya i think may reflux sya.

^sayang sis. hehe yes. here try this link

http://kellymom.com/bf/pumpingmoms/milkstorage/milkstorage/

may table na dyan kung ganu katagal depending kung san mo i store. im not sure lang sa ref na luma na. hehe i guess kung maayos pa naman okay lang. Yung sa ref pala, 3-8 days. pero ideal is 72 hours. sakin hanggang 4th day lang kasi yung pang 5th day ko kanina nasira na. tsaka to be safe, i discard na after 3 days. pero starting tomorrow, deretso freezer ko na para 2 weeks ang itagal. nasasayang kasi yung mga hindi ko napapa inom sa kanya. every drop of BM is so precious pa naman.

Hello Mommies. I've been following breastfeeding post here on FN eversince I gave birth to my 2nd son last December 2013. Let me share you the joys breastfeeding has brought me in my life and to my son.  :) wala akong naging problema when i feed him because when he was still at the nursery room i always let him latch maski alam kong wala siyang nakukuhang milk. Naging routine ko yan until on the 3rd day na we went home na, ayun lumabas na milk ko. Pinlano ko na ang mangyayari kasi with my 1st son 2 months lang kami nag BF :( at alam na alam ko ang feeling nang engorgement kasi nagkaroon ako nun, chills at fever pa. Kaya with my 2nd walang engorged breast or chills na nangyayari kasi i was very careful.

The first 3 months was the hardest. I'm glad to say hindi ako nagkulang ng milk because I had more than enough of what baby needs. Im a fulltime mom kaya 24/7 kami magkasama ni baby. :) once in a while i do manual pumping pag tulog pa si baby and i start leaking na. ( 4oz per pump) Pinapainom ko lang yung na pump na milk pag lalabas ako sandali to do grocery or mag mall kami with hubby ang with my panganay. After 3 months, wala na kaming yaya so i have to do everything on my own. Kaya hindi na nagalaw ang pump ko till 5 months and thank God na establish din namin, feed on demand and naging easier na siya. Pati breast pads ko no need na kasi parang alam na ng breast ko how much milk baby needs.

They say breastfeed babies di masyadong mataba, parang baligtad sakin. . Mine was super taba, bilog na bilog si baby. Kaya lang after his 6th month check up, pinalitan ni pedia ang vitamins nya at parang nawalan siya ng gana mag milk. Nag lose siya nang weight. From 7.4 sa 6th month nya, naging 7kg  nalang. Nangagayat na siya. But he's catching up after i switched his vitamins and nag growth spurt.

Enlighten me mommies. I still feed him every 2hours for 10-15 minutes kaya lang per feeding namin one breast muna then yung other breast is for next feeding na ulit. I can say my milk is enough for him kasi he seems satisfied every after feeding. Sa inyo sis? How much yung weight nila on their 7th month?  :( Mabigat ba sila?

I gave birth almost 6 months ago, been hypertensive before pregnancy and took Aldomet the entire pregnancy and 2 weeks post delivery.

Since then no medication at all just rely on healthy diet and exercise. But lastweek, my BP shoot up to 170/100, so the internist advise me stop breastfeeding (mixed feeding ako)..Took Candesartan for 10 days but I stop now cause I want to resume breastfeeding.

TO ALL SIS who has the same experience..THANKS for your reply
My questions:
1. How long did you take your BP med?
2. How many days did you start breastfeeding after taking BP meds?
3. How long does the meds flush out in our system esp in our breastmilk?

I've stop direct breastfeeding for 2 weeks. Am worried that baby might not latch it anymore though am pumping (manual) 3X a day. swerte ko na if 20ml/pump

Hi Mommies,

pa join lang sa conversation.. :)

Ive been breastfeeding my daughter for 12 months and 2weeks now. :)
SAHM from birth until 8 months si baby. since sahm ako, direct feeding kami ni baby. but i pump milk pagtulog siya tapos super engorge na breast ko. store lang sa freezer in case of emergency.

then i had to work. so she was forced to take the bottle when im away. we tried so many bottles at first - tommy tippee, chico, nudy, dr brown. none of them worked. then i read in one group na recommended and pigeon peristaltic so we tried that. she took it without a fight! hahaha i was so happy. kasi alam kong hindi sya magugutom pagnasa office ako. at work i used to pump 3x and usually get around 100-140ml per session. but now that she is a year old, 2x na lang ako ngppump with 160ml output per session. she eats solids 4x a day - breakfast, lunch, merienda and dinner with bm inbetween.

most of my officemates are shocked to know that im still bfing my daughter. and tiyaga ko daw kasi.
and the next question would usually be until when do i plan to bf my child. i would always answer them "until she wants to."  ;)

hi mga sis! So happy na may thread pa rin about breastfeeding. When I gave birth back in 2012, sa thread na ito ako madaming natutunan on what to do, and what not to do - ngayon na lang kasi naka-visit sa FN.

Anyway, exclusive breastfeeding ako for 9 months - then nag-mixed na ako. Mag-2 years old na si baby in Spetember, and balak ko na to wean her. Any tips?

I have one-door type na fridge.

^^ mabilis lang mafreeze yung milk that I store in our freezer, like pag nilagay ko sa gabi, frozen na sa morning.

^ sis, you can buy thermal bag and ice packs, dalhin mo sa morning. If it's good quality, it can last the whole day while nasa work ka, parang naka-ref na din ang expressed BM mo. Para di masayang ang milk mo.

How do you mommies clean your breastpump after each pumping session? Especially if you are at work?

Planning to buy a medela electric pump for our second baby, but there's tubing pa diba? How do you clean the tubing?

With my first baby I just used a Pigeon manual pump and would rinse everything in hot water after every pumping. I would sterilize like 1-2 times a day lang. Eh I can't sterilize or it might even be hard to find hot water when I'm out.

^ sis, no need to clean/wash the tubing, sa pagkakaalam ko. Air lang naman dumadaan dun e. Just make sure all the other washable parts are dry talaga when you operate the pump para di malagyan ng water yung tubing. For maintenance, plan ko is every 4-6 months dalhin sa Medela House yung pump to have it cleaned.

Been breastfeeding my baby boy for almost a week now. My milk came in agad sa hospital. Actually at first i really couldn't tell, basta pa latch lang ako ng pa latch and he seems contented naman. The hospital's lactation consultant came into my room and ayun may milk ako.

I just feel exhausted now. From giving birth parang hindi pa ako nakaka tulog mg maayos and super takaw ko talaga sa tulog before but now i have been having sleepless nights because of nursing my son. Nag popost partum blues din ako. Nakakaloka! Yesterday mega lbm ako super gusto ko ng mag bottle feed (ng hand express and let down ng breast milk ko) cause i was really feeling weak . Buti nalang napigilan ko sarili ko.

Queen chocola, buti hindi ng nipple confussion baby mo when you introduced the bottle at 3 weeks old? My pedia told me to wait for 6 weeks. Gusto ko din kasi mag introduce ng bottle kay baby asap para may bonding moments sila ng daddy niya and also for days when i feel exhausted pwede si hubby mag nurse kay baby.
