I am introvert. Kung sino yong friends ko nong high school and college parang sila pa rin hanggang ngayon. May mga kasama sa work before or business friends but I seldom go with them.

Join ako mga sis.

After so long ngayon na lang ako ulit nagpost. I have an active social life during college and mid 20's ngayon i'm 33 parang nanawa na kasi ako sa dating buhay ko mas naappreciate ko na yung di masyado lumalabas. Yun nga lang everytime na may mga gathering mejo nahihiya na ako.

My personality kasi is I am not a starter pero kung nasimulan na at kung komportable naman ako sa tao ayun mega chika na.

Me too. No social life. It makes me sad sometimes, kasi di na nayayaya ng friends na lumabas kasi nasanay na ata sila na wala ako. Pero on the other side, ok lang kasi ayoko ng gastos. Mapili din ako sa friends.

kailangan ko ng social life. ang buhay ko ngayon puro work and family lang. ang weekend minsan nako-consume pa rin ng work, pero as much as possible ibinibigay ko na rin sa sarili ko. ok naman mag "me" time, pero hinahanap ko rin ang company ng friends ko. mga busy na rin kasi at may mga boyfriend :P

Nakakapod din ang small talk   :D ;

And not to mention BORING. :/
Gusto ko kasi yung talks with meaning eh. Hindi yung basta usap lang na shallow. Kaya tatlong tao lang comfy ako talaga.

I am also socially awkward. Just talking about my hobbies is a struggle to me. Lalo na kapag nasa akin yung attention ng lahat. I dont know how to behave. I force a smile, and the smile seems really fake ang ugly. Likei have no confidence in facing the crowd. I am even more comforable talking with my boss than face a small group of people and introduce myself. How do you overcome these things? I need help. As in. Sometimes I cry because of these. What therapy you may suggest? Thanks!

It's fun to meet introverts like you. That if I were to meet you, im sure we would identify with eacch other and be easily at ease!

I'm an introvert and I'm also comfortable being alone.

When I was college I had few friends sa school, as in bilang lang sa daliri. Later on I realized life is indeed happier with more friends.. So ngayon I make an effort na to initiate conversations and to befriend people. Meron akong isang circle in which I started out as saling-pusa, like when may lakad sila I'd say, "Uy, sama." Ngayon we see each other regularly and I can say that they are for keeps.

It pays din to step out of your comfort zone.

For those who feel socially awkward, I think one question you can ask yourself is: Do I like MYSELF? Not the conceited 'like,' but you like and accept yourself for who you are. If you have a shame-based personality, or kinakahiya mo ang sarili mo, or you feel you are a mistake for being in this world, then you'll fear rejection big time, that you wouldn't even dare make an eye-contact with someone. Sometimes, people like these have a very low self esteem. The first step is to learn to accept, like, and love yourself, because you are a worthy person, you just don't know it, or nobody showed you that you are.

For others naman, they just lack social skills which can be learned like what others already did. I suggest  reading Dale Carnegie's book, "How to win friends and influence people."  Socorro Ramos, in one of the seminars I attended, shared that this is her favorite  book (or one of her faves, forgot). Syempre ako naman, basa agad.

Also, I learned, can't remember from where, that great conversationalists are not the talkative ones, they are not those who loves to talk about themselves, rather they're the people who expresses interest and talks about the person they're talking to. So yeah, they're interested in people.

Others naman are confined sa family and home or work, like me, LOL! My only social lives are graduate school and prayer community every Sunday. Syempre priority muna ang chikiting. When my daughter's world stopped revolving around me, rachada ulit ang organizations ko. BTW, I'm an introvert too.  :) I know the kind of friends I'm comfortable with: soft-spoken, not loud, at hindi nangungutya or nanchichismis ng ibang tao.

I'm also yearning to make new quality girlfriends, kaya lang hirap talaga with my present lifestyle. Couldn't even attend our weekly caring group meeting.

i'm totally ok with this, having no social life.  if i'm not with my husband, i'm either at work or at home lang.  me and my husband, we're like best buds considering we've been together for 37 years.  even during dating years,  it's just the two of us always.  yes we have our group of friends from elem/hs, barkada, but now, we are scattered across the globe so it's very seldom that we see them.
but don't get me wrong,  we're very gracious meeting new people.  it's just that i'm not one to sustain close friendships.
unlike most females, discussing personal issues/problems even good things to a girlfriend has not been a trait of mine.  ewan ko ba,  i'm just too guarded i guess.
so basically my social life is the one with just my husband in it.

This is so me! ;D  I only go out with my BF and his friends and for work.  I'm willing to attend coffee dates to meet new people if you have one!  Maybe start a viber group?  Wala akong wechat!  LOL! ;D  I'm near Eastwood ;)

I'm also an introvert, and it's really hard for me to socialize. im almost 30, and the thought of going out with more than 10 people and thinking of what to talk about scares me talaga. Minsan naisip ko baka weird ako kaya hirap ako magstart ng conversation. Nung high school ako madali, you talk about crushes with your fellow girls, talk about the childish stuff. But pagdating ng college, super hirap ako kasi people from different culture and totally hindi ako nakarelate sa mga blockmates ko. Most of them are into drinking and shopping and having nightlife, which is all boring for me. I tried liking it, and ended up feeling sleepy and wasting my money and time. Sabay pa pagtapos ng class and weekends, my parents tell me to help sa business. So After college class, sa family business. Kung pwede lang baguhin buong college life ko, I really would.

Ngayon naman, because of family situation (tipong kailangan maghire ng caregiver, pero wala kami mahire so it is me ending up helping my mom because my siblings and dad arent helping much) hirap ako makasocial life. Wala na rin ako masyadong contact with high school (except during christmas reunions or if meron sa batch namin kinasal) kasi kapg nagyaayaya sila, laging Fort (Which is traffic) tapos mag bar lang sila (which I really hate). I have a church group, parang we meet once a group, pero they all have their own close circle of friends, so kakainggit din.

It's just a relief to hear na madami din pala na walang social life (I'm not being mean a!). Kala ko kasi ako lang, to the point na minsan I'm so depressed na wondering if baka maging suicidal ako kasi ako lang may ganyan na problem!

I think a Viber group is ideal. Hahaha.

Di naman ako socially awkward, but I really pick on people I wanna talk to or hang out with. Ayoko kasi ng non-sense na mga conversations/activities eh, sayang lang sa oras.

The longer we stayed abroad, the lesser my social contacts became.
My life of late revolves around work, home and family.
Even special occasion like Christmas, kami lang ng famiy ko which is ok  lang naman. We have some friends din, but we seldom see them due to different schedules. Noon when our kid was smaller, we go out with friends, ngayon madalang na. Saka kasi honestly, some pinoy friends, dami intriga eh.
