I guess okay naman ang August. Same lang naman ang weather ng Pinas at Cambodia. We went there last September and nice weather although pag halon minsan maulan. So same lang ng sa Pinas talaga

Sabi sa amin, August and September yung okay na months pumunta kase hindi masyadong mainit. Went there ng September at ramdam talaga yung init. So paano pa kaya pag summer months nila. Pag December naman, masyado na marami tourists.

Any suggestions ng mga Travel Agencies na mura yung Cambodia-Vietnam tours? yung mura lang.

^ hi sis, if kaya nyo DIY madali lang sya you can book tours there na kasi cheaper sa agencies dun than online. Bus transfers naman can be booked online. We rode Mekong Express bus from Vietnam to Cambodia.

Will be travelling to SR with friends. Ang route kasi namin is MNL-SR-BKK-MNL. Darating kami sa SR gabi and we plan to travel to BKK hapon ng sunod na araw. Question po, anong oras kami dapat aalis sa AngkorWat para maabutan na open ang border?

My bff and I will be in Bangkok and we are planning to go to Siem Reap. Based sa research ko, it seems mas mabilis (in terms of number of hours) to travel via the casino buses. If all goes well, if we leave 6 am from Lumphini Park, baka by lunch or a little after lunch, we will be in Siem Reap na. The first option I wanted was to ride the train. I love trains lalo na yun mga ganoong klase pero 6 hours ang biyahe parang ubos na yun araw mo.

My question lang ako, has anybody tried the casino buses? Also, if we arrive early afternoon in SR, what activities do you suggest we do? I'm thinking of doing Angkor [textspeak!] the next day. Baka in the afternoon we can visit the Old Market and also the pottery stores and silk stores... type ko kasi ang mga ganoon hehe.O kung may suggestion kayo, that would be much appreciated... is it a good idea to catch the sunset in Angkor?  We only have 3 days and 2 nights in SR (Sunday-Monday-Tuesday), early Tues am we have to return to Bangkok na so kaunti lang yung time.

Mga sis! How much pumunta ng Beng Mealea from the main SR? I heard yung entrance is $5 but how much kaya yung transfers?

For those who've done the PP-SR bus ride, kamusta ang part ng trip na ito para sa inyo? Are the roads really that bad going to SR? Sobrang tagtag ba talaga ng byahe? Is it better to take the regular trip during the day o yung sleeper bus/night trip nila?

Hi mga sis, for our CAmbodia trip this July we booked at Angkor Palace Hotel. May nakapagstay na ba sa inyo dun? Then for the tours, since super lapit lang ng Buo Savy from the hotel naisip namin na dun na lang magpabook ng tours, ok lang kaya yun?

Mga sis, would you recommend a diy tour of the temples? Meron na bang nakasubok maghire ng tour guide na kasama sa temples? Parang gusto ko sana kumuha ng knowledgeable tour guide para mas malalim ang appreciation sa Cambodian culture and history. Ano tingin niyo?

We'll be there on June 29-July 2 for the SR leg of our SEA tour. Excited na ako!

Hi, guys! Sikat na sikat na ang Bou Savvy sa dami ng Pinoy na nag-eendorse nun. Pero wala akong masabi sa mura ng mga hostels in Siem Reap. We stayed at Banyan Leaf. Parang 900+ lang binayaran namin for a twin bed accommodation. May free simple buffet breakfast pa! At free na bottled water during our temple hopping tour. Bumawi na lang kami sa tip kasi asikasong-asikaso naman sila. Walking distance lang din ito sa pub street. Pero sa mura ng mga tuktuk, wala namang problema kung sasakay kayo.

About the guide, it's not really necessary. What we did was we read a little about Cambodia's history prior to the trip. Tapos in one of the temples, we bought a book about the Angkor complex from the kids peddling on the streets. Hindi original pero glossy yung book. At 5 USD lang. While we do not advocate buying illegal copies of copyrighted books, mas nanaig 'yung habag namin sa mga sweet na batang nagtitinda. Again, not a valid excuse pero, it helped naman us somehow.

Sis @fittotravel, san kayo nagbook ng tours? will be arriving kasi sa SR ng mga gabi na, kasi galing pa kami ng HCM. question lang, pwede na ba kami magbook ng tours ng night before? Or early morning na lang ng day itself?

@sublime1: Don't worry, there are more tuktuks in Siem Reap than its people and tourists combined. Kidding!  Pero seriously, hindi naman kailangan ng prior booking if you are to explore the Angkor Complex on a tuktuk. Ang ginawa namin, we asked our hotel to send someone to pick us up at the airport. Then kinontrata na namin 'yung tuktuk driver. I don't remember exactly how much we paid for a 2-day expedition pero para makalimutan ko, sobrang mura lang siguro noon. And this is coming from someone na aminadong kuripot, ha? Hehe!  Make sure din na meron kayong cooler sa tuktuk for refreshments. Mahal kasi sa mga tindahan along the way.

Again, your tuktuk driver will take you to a restaurant (usually of his own choice) for lunch. The temples in Angkor Complex are great but I their food is a tad bit disappointing. Hindi rin kasi ako kumakain ng pagkaing may ginger. At halos lahat ng natikman kong food in Siem Reap, ever-present ang yucky luya. Hahaha! Magbaon na lang kayo!

Thanks, fittotravel! We've decided to get a tour guide but we're still looking for one who can provide us the best and cheapest rate. Getting a tour guide's definitely not cheap, though.

We're planning on getting the 3 day pass at Angkor and doing the 2 day tour with the guide.

May nakapagtry na ba magrent ng car for tours? How much will that be kaya? Will be in Cambodia kasi this July, and naisip naming na baka super init, and we have our parents with us. So mas comfy kung magrent na lang ng car.

^ we rented a car with driver sa Siem Reap to tour us around. Bale 2 days din yun. $20 or $25/day lang yata yun, sobrang sulit na especially super-init din nung nagpunta kami kaya sarap ng naka-aircon after maglakad sa initan.
