One time password - for security purposes po mga sis.

better ask your bank of account for assistance.

inannounce na yan sa amin (i work in a  bank) lalo na sa mga may internet banking. =)

One time password is one way to secure your CC for unauthorized transactions. This will serve as final authorization for a merchant to charge your card when booking online. Maganda siya dahil bago macharge yong card mo, may text muna with the amount of charge and password to finish your booking/online shopping.

Metrobank and CITI ko okay dito, eto lang Bankard may problem pero hindi ko na pinapaayos since balak ko siya iretire.

I see. Thanks sa enlightenment mga sis. I've worked with a bank din before (credit card dept) but tagal na kasi ako resigned. I was not aware of this one time password until now. Hihi

nung High School at College days ko (2001-2009), i have Citibank and HSBC. ginawa kasi akong supplementary ng Ate ko. madalang ko lang gamitin pero ok naman sila.

HSBC - pag malaki ang spending mo, iincrease ka nila agad. kay Ate, from 40k to 70k less than a year. voluntary increase by HSBC. ok din kasi sa ATM pwede magbayad. no hassle. meron sila sa the Fort.

Citibank - di masyadong nagamit ni Ate ito.

both HSBC at Citibank eh masipag maningil!  ;) lalo na pag third party na.

pag graduate ko, yon, pina cut ko na lahat. nagkaroon ng work, naka ipon ako ng sarili.  kaso pinadalhan naman ako ng BDO (eto walang keme keme pinadala na lang basta) at ng BPI (at least eto tumawag muna pero para lang i confirm address at what type of card)

BDO
- pinadala lang saken ng bank
- nung unang bigay nila, 20k ang limit then pwede mag increase either by them or your request
- ayos naman kasi you can pay online or thru ATM
- ok EXCEPT:
FYI: if you want a new card with new digits, babayaran mo yung replacement. p400? p500?
- monthly i chacharge ang annual fee! (wais! lalo na para sa mga may balak na putulin mid year) so, annual fee / 12 = monthly charge
- nag purchase ako one time online, denied by card issuer. well, this happens naman talaga (i know because i used to work in PayPal)

BPI
- pinadala lang saken ng bank
- unang limit P40k
- nirequest ko yung BPI petron para may rebates when i gas up
- no more points kasi may rebates na
- madalas mag host ng bazaar so free passes na
- mas madaming perks at discount compared sa BDO
- same din na may promo promo with min. purchase na hindi naman ako umaabot. usually, 1k above sa specific establisment
- free for life ang 1st supplementary (kaya nilipat ko ang nanay ko dito kasi di nya madalas gamitin. sayang bayad ko sa BDO annual fee)

mas OK BPI for me.

Naka-receive ako ng new BDO CC 2 weeks ago dahil mapapaso na this May 2014 yung old CC ko from them. They have a new feature sa BDO CC called "Payscale". When I read the whole brochure, wala ako naintindihan sa new feature nila. May nakakaalam ba ang tungkol dito?

Yung new CC ko, kakaiba sa dati kong CC. Colors are the same, pero may maliit na chip na nakalagay sa may gilid. They say it's a new added feature ng mga CCs. Any idea about this new feature nila?

I also received a call from BPI and they give me a CC. I said yes kasi I'm getting married soon and I decided to get a supplementary card from BPI instead sa BDO. Anyone who experience the same po? I've called BPI, ok naman daw. Kaso yun nga, wala pa CC ko.

Medyo takot lang ako humawak ng two CCs. I am not sure how to use BPI CC and I'm sure it's perks and etc are different from BDO. But I do know BPIs have more perks compared sa BDO.

I think you are referring to PayWave? This is the new features of BDO cards, I received one also for my expiring card, haven't used it yet though. The new card comes with an EMV RFID chip, which allows you contactless payment. You can simply tap your card on the merchant POS device to pay for your transaction.

@pretty_B

I have been using Metrobank CC for over a few years now, overall in terms of customer service i'm quite satisfied. Promo wise, for those instant rewards (transaction purchase = redemption) not that great compares to other CC, but I guess better than nothing :)

What I like about Metrobank CC is their discount for restuarant, they ranges from 40% to 50% at times.

re sa BPI, yes, kung inenroll mo sya nung nag apply ka and you have an existing bpiexpressonline.com account and you linked it dun. Ganun sakin dati, I think 6 years ago when I opened a secured card. Sa case mo, pre-approved, maybe you said yes in passing nung may tumawag sayo?

Medyo choppy yung end nya nung tumawag sya saken and wala ako natatandaan na I say YES.

Sorry.

BPI Gold binigay nila saken. Not sure ano benefits ko sa kanila. Sana mas maganda compared kay BDO. What I like lang kay bdo kasi yung CC points converted sya. As far as I know sa BPI walang points, puro rebates.

I tried to convert my BDO CC into VISA, kaso I need to pay Php500.

It will be my first time handling two CCs pero it's a challenge for me. I survived having 1 CC for the past 10 years, all are fully paid and not over spending. Sana having 2 CCs this time, ganun pa din. Wish me luck mga sisses.

What BPI card did they sent you? I'm using their Mastercard and every purchase there's points equivalent.

Between the 2, I guess almost the same lang sila, sometimes may deal ok kay BDO sometimes may deal na mas ok kay BPI. I have both of them as well, BPI and BDO, if choose I'll keep my BPI mainly due to no annual fee, sa BDO na wa-waive naman you just have to call, but I only keep my BDO because it's my oldest card, way back when it was still equitable days, may sentimental value hehe.

I'm sure you will do fine with both your cards, you have already proven that through the years.

ok naman ang experience ko with metrobank cc, maraming discounts sa restos and hotels, with rebates and secure to shop online. madali ding kausap for waiver of annual fees and service charges.

Sa mga nagpacancel ng credit cards nila, specifically RCBC bankard, tumawag lang ba kayo sa hotline? and that's enough na?

no need to email them or send them a formal letter?

Thanks in advance

Wow, really. Sige i-keep ko na yung BPI CC. They will send BPI Gold.

I guess same with BPI CC.
