Pimple/Acne Marks, Blemishes, Darkspots - Part 4

I visited a dermatologist because of sudden cystic acne flare up. My previous regimen of using epsom salt was not working

Prescription was:

Skin B5 Facial Wash, Apply Tretinoin at night, Spot Treatment with Benzoyl Peroxide 2x a day

Oral Antibiotic: Tetralysal 300 mg 2x a day, 4 weeks - OMG ang mahal nito sabi ni doc high dosage daw para effective then I taper it off

Monthly Maintenance: Acne Facial Cleaning, 20% Salicylic Chemical Peel, and Cortisone shots for stubborn pimples

I know what you feel sa tetralysal. I wanted to look for cheaper alternative but I was so determined na mawala pimples ko kasi zero na talaga self-confidence ko so kahit mahal go pa rin. Buti na lang sa akin once a day lang for 14 days. My derma partnered it with Epiduo to be used twice or thrice a week. Thankfully okay na skin ko now except for acne marks. So kahit medyo mahal ang meds, worth it din naman.

Okay ba ang cortisone shots? I have a cystic one again na pinilit ko nanaman imurder kagabi. Grabe, anything but cystic talaga. Ayun, todo butas nanaman ako - and thankfully may lumabas na nana pero feel ko may natira. 

Grabe, I don't care if magsugat sugat, mag scar pa mukha ko basta wag lang cystic.  Help please Is there any way cystics can get to a head. Magaling ako mag-deal with scars, kaya I dont mind murdering my face

Dito ako sa south, so I go to Luna dermatologica bf homes, wala naman marks, derma yung nag inject

dalacin C solved my problem of getting acne in the chin. akala ko hormonal pero ayun, hindi na ko nagkakaron nun, unlike before na mas marami yung times na meron kesa wala.
dati pag may cystic ako sa chin, I rub calamansi twice a day and then dry and flat na siya after 2-3 days.
My regimen now is kojic acid soap( to keep my skin acidic because bacteria don't live in an acidic environment) then eskinol (with calamansi extract) with dalacin twice a day. Pimple marks nalang issue ko ngayon.
Magstart muna kayo mga sis sa simple regimen before maglagay ng marami.

Derma sense worked for me too

I finally went to a derma yesterday.  I was prescribed an acne cleansing scrub then clindamycin topical solution tas retinoic cream. 2x a day.

Then on Saturday mag "acne surgery" daw ako to drain my cystic acnes. Haaay! I'm scared feel ko ifafacial na din kasi she want to clean my face daw.  Andami ko kasi nababasa na reviews na lumalala after facial?

Guys, pray for me.
In other news, she complimented me on my skin. "Ang ganda ng skin mo pa naman. Ang puti puti mo. Kaya rin super red ang flare ng pimples sayo." HAHA! Pampalubag loob.

Nag work din saakin ang Eskinol (the green one) with Dalacin-C. Pero parang na outgrown nadin sya ng skin ko. Though minsan ginagamit ko parin. I now use ACV mixed with water and tea tree oil. nag work sya for a while kaso may problem din ako sa hormones (irreg ako ang with pcos). so I'm thinking yun ang dahilan. pero dahil sa ACV, hindi na dull skin ko and it works sa pimples, it dries it up kaso hindi sya nakaka prevent.

Hi girls! I just posted sa tretinoin thread. Just want to share my battle with my longterm pimple and acne journey. As i have said, i tried everything na nakita ko dito sa gt ang hindi na lang yung acnetrex. From supplements, lemon, benzac, epiduo, antibiotics, sabon, cream, sunblock gels, at ilang derma, name it. Nawawalan na ko pag asa talaga sabi ko last resort ko ang tretinoin. I tried retin a. To date its my 2nd tube and i am loving the result. Lahat nagtatanong [textspeak!] daw ginagamit ko sa face ko at nag clear na plus nawala na ang marks. Noong first tube ko ng retian a every night k gamit, ngayon once a week na lang. My regimen:
Am- kojic soap
Celetque gel moisturizer
Face powder na lang, i avoid heavy put ons on my face

Pm- ponds cold cream to remove face powder
Kojic soap
Avon anew gel
Retin a

Sobra talaga ako oily, pero ito lang yung regimen na nag work sakin. Hope you find the regimen that works for you too.  By the way, i stopped going to my derma for 1year na and minsan nagkasalubong kami sa mall nag complement sya sa skin ko sabi nya ang ganda na ng skin mo ah no breakouts siguro nagpalit ka na ng derma, i just smiled.😊 napagod na din siguro ako sa kaka facial, acne surgery at cortisone shots ko. I also avoid eating oily foods most specially french fries which sooooo love. But its all worth it.

I realized na i should just stop putting too much products on my face. Nagstop ako sa lahat ng pinaglalagay ko sa face ko kahit derma nagbigay kasi di naman nagiimprove. Soap lang and water. No toner. Nagmomoisturize lang ako pag super dry ng face ko. Ayun. Kuminis na face ko unlike before. di na ako masyado pinipimple and nagffade na pimple marks.

Sis happynlove, ang gamit ko minsan is eskinol kung anung variant available dito bahay hehe, pero no specific toner talaga. Before i tried toner ng paulas choice, psc,  nalimutan ko na yung ibang brand pero ayun breakout pa din. Same with sis krabbypatty, ni lessen ko nilalagay ko sa face ko, dun ko na tame breakouts ko.

Problem ko talaga ngayon sobrang dami ng pimples ko sa jawline at chin area. Nagpaderma na rin ako. She gave me clindamycin, antibacterial and tretinoin solution. Tapos doxycyline for one month. Pero walang nangyari. Mas lalo pang lumala at dumami. Huhuhu.

^ sis try mo kaya mag argan oil. i posted my feedback sa argan oil thread. you can check there. pero for me kasi eversince na gumamit ako nito, wala na ako iba moisturizer. super effective siya sa akin in treating pimples. minsan, naguumpisa pa lang pimples ko pero eversince i started using argan oil, parang laging hindi tumutuloy ang mga pimples ko. kung tumuloy man, mabilis ang healing niya. not really sure if this will work for you but it's worth a try na rin. btw, i use oil of argan. you can buy these from sesou stores.

ok din ang new product ng human heart nature acne defense solution,with tea tree as anti bacterial,after cleansing just dab on pimples ,no need to rub ....it sting as it penetrates deep down,I use it 3-4 x a day ,it dries up quickly and no pimple marks....

^^ sis yung pimples sa chin and jawline parang may nabasa ako na baka dahil lang sa hormones yan. Pa-check ka sa OB sis.

I have pimples on both cheeks, malapit sa nose area. Paulit-ulit lang tumutubo yung pimples sa spot na yun. I also have small bumps na malapit sa pimples. HELP. Nakakababa ng self confidence. Minsan lumalayo ako sa mga tao o kaya tinatago ko face ko kapag kausap ko sila.
