I'm a single mom. I got pregnant when I was 16. Wala akong future dun sa nakabuntis sakin(love is blind e. haha!) so I left him which is the best decision I have ever made. I enrolled in a university and graduated last march.

Then I met my present bf when i was 18. Pinaalam nya din sa family nya and they are totally ok with it. And ang alam ng daughter ko, he is her real daddy. we don't have any communication with the ex and kinalakihan na nya yung present bf ko. he even gets hurt kapag pabiro kong sinasabi sa kanya na "hindi naman ikaw yung totoong daddy e"  ;D

And this coming nov.2014, we are getting married. :)

-----------
I agree with kermitdfrog. :)

It takes a lot of courage, patience and understanding talaga. so saludo ako sa mga lalaking katulad ng bf ko. yihaaa!  ;D

A matured person who is serious would foremostly look at the character at/or pag-uugali ng babae. whether single mom or not. it is jut a bit complicated if it is a single mom because the guy would need to evaluate himself if he can accept and love the kid like his own.

pwede nyang sabihin OO on the onset. but he still needs to evaluate the "What if" situation. what if magkaroon na kami ng tunay na anak, will i be capable and matured enough not to be biased, discriminate, etc towards the other guy's kid?

it is such a romantic notion to say na "as long as we are happy" pero unfair naman doon sa kid kung di sya kasama lagi doon sa "happiness". di naman nya kasalanan.

It is difficult for a single Mom to search for her own happiness without being selfish.......it is really hard to find a person who can love another person's kid like his own.....the same is true with a single father...

I have 2 son nung naging mag bf kame at balewala yun sa kanya. Never nya yun pinamuka saken. He even talk about my kids ng walang hurt or any sign ng di pagtanggap. Yung 7 years old ko nasa parents ko and yung 5 is nasa ex inlaws. And now we have our own daughter at ikakasal na kami sa Nov, 30 at 24th birthday ko din yun so happy.

I am a single mom with 2 kids. Living with partner since 2011. We were college bf/gf for 3yrs then.

Tanggap naman nya and kids but I am not quite sure of his future plans e. He rarely mentioned to me kasi my marriage is not yet annulled. But i know he loves and my kids.

34, male here. Actually, most men won't consider taking women with excess baggage. Honestly, I would consider it as a "bonus" and not a burden. I've been contemplating to marry a single mom para instant may anak agad. I really love kids.  :)

if men are matured enough they don't care if she is a single mom as long as you love each other...

it doesn't have anything to do with maturity. it's about preference. some of us just don't want to play another man's saved game

^agree its all about the preference because other men just don't want to get involved.

I think as long as you love the woman it doesn't matter. The most important thing is that you will be the better man and treat the woman like she is the one for you even if some people say that she has a child already and other comments. In the end what matters is that both of you are happy. :)

Yes, it is all about preference, and I prefer to date/be with a lady who doesn't have any kids.

;D yes mam and sir! as long as both of you has the same feeling. ang mahalaga yung tanggap nyo ang isat isa at mga nakaraan. at dina din kelangan pag usapan pa mga nakaraan. nasa pag uusap din naman siguro yaan at pag sasama basta open kayo sa isat isa.

It's practical naman talaga e.

Kasi kung kayong 2 lang nga, nagkakalabuan na. Imagine mo lang yung time nung single mom, she takes care of the kids and home, work nya, sarili nya, then with BF pa.  Paano pa sya makahanap ng time for BF with all these?  Kaya dapat super understanding and supportive din si BF in case single mom yung girl - may word na "super" kasi kakaibang understanding ang kinakailangan for the relationship to work (single male + single mom).

You're happy but what about your 2 sons?

^^same here.

Feeling ko mahirap sa isang lalake (as in a single guy) to pursue a single mom. I mean the usual first impression sa aming mga single mom is maagang lumandi, there's that stigma na kahit hindi naman yung ang sitwasyon namin, yung pa din ang tingin ng iba.

Tapos andyan pa yung issues with the guy's mom, hindi ipapakasal ang anak nya dun sa single mom kasi nga may anak na. Nakakalungkot lang minsan, to be judged even without knowing the story.

Another concern, its much easier to find a partner/BF when the single mom is a bit younger but when she enters a certain age, say mid-30s, ayun mas mahirap. But on the brighter side, if she ever finds a man at a much older or matured age, andun yung security, alam mong mahal at tanggap ka despite the age and status, pinili pa din sya over a single, younger woman.

I would consider single moms only if they are widowed or raped.

Pero hangga't buhay yung Tatay nung bata, eh ayoko akuin ang responsibility nung tatay. At sana naman, to all single moms out there, wag nyo basta basta palusutin yung mga tatay.

Karapatan mo maging masaya. Ikaw lang makakapagdecide nyan if ok nga or hindi. Pero after 2 failed relationships... Ilan pa ang need to learn something? Sorry to burst your bubble. Hindi totoong may Mr. Right. Nasa tao na lang kung tatanggapin nya if one is the right person for them.
