^You have a point, but I would like to pose a question: would you rather na hindi ka nila balitaan or imbitahin sa mga birthday party ng mga anak nila?

^^sis, aware ba sila sa feelings mo or sa pinagdadaanan mo? in my case kasi pina-pplastic ko silang lahat. I nod and smile and gush over their babies and pregnancies pero walang nakakaalam save for my bestfriend back home na I'm dying inside. mali ata strategy ko kasi mas pinapahirapan ko sarili ko. I thought I'm ok na, na this is what I should do in coping with my situation. hindi pala. :(

Just out of curiosity, meron ba tayong mga ka-sis or bro dito who decided not to have kids? Why and pano na-accept ng family niyo or friends ang decision niyo?

Sis aspen, I'd like to think that being positive in times like this gives me hope, it makes me feel good, and I know that there's a reason why my prayers are still not answered. Now about friends and families who always bring up the subject of us having a baby, I don't get mad anymore, instead i ask them to pray for us that God will bless us a child. I helped myself by not going to fb because that's where I see a lot of my friends' baby pictures, preggy pics, ultrasound pics, etc. and it helped me a lot coping this situation, haven't logged in for 3 months now.

My mom tells me that I have to experience the joy of being a mom and all I can say is, I will in His time. And also, bawas ganda points din yan pag laging malungkot  ;D

Yes. Pero okay lang din kung ang introduction ay kakamustahin naman nila ako, or alamin kung ano nangyayari sa buhay ko.

graduate nako dyan sis, nakakapagod, and emotionally draining talaga. iwasan sila is the best strategy, at pag di kaya iwasan, smile lang, no words kapag tinatanong ako parang walang narinig, or change subject.

^thanks for trying to understand. I guess only those who are in the same boat would really understand me. Hindi ko panghihinayangan yung friendship if I'm not happy anymore, and tormenting...

My hubby and I have been together for ~8years, married for 3 years but still no child - out of choice.

Can't help but feel that we're running out of time.

^I'm sorry to hear that sis. And yes, we'll include you in our prayers. Talagang iba-iba tayo ng cross ano? Dibale, in time, we'll have our hearts' desires. That or God will have something better in store for us.

new in this thread.  sa TTC thread kasi tambay.  4years of being married and still childless.  nasawa na ako sa pressure at questions.  I was hurt by many and learn to smile.  Wag lang magkakamali yung iba at naku makakatikim sila ng sagot na hindi nila magugustuhan hahaha

I can understand how you feel but you do have to discuss the options and save more money for invitro.

We've been married for six years and still wala pa din kami baby. Di ko na kaya idetalye lahat ng doctor at treatment na ginawa namin just to conceive pero wala pa din. We got married in 2007 and tried to conceive na from the start.  I'm 38, by the way, turning 39. In 2008, we discovered I have a malaking myoma, instramural so pumapasok na sya sa uterine lining.  I had an operation to remove it kasi it was growing and blocking one of my fallopian tubes.
After the operation, wala pa din. Been to so many different doctors,  gone thru so many tests till it got to the point that I was beginning to feel like a lab rat.  Yoko na idetail lahat ng sinabi at ginawa sa akin sa sobrang dami.  I had an xray taken and they found out that one of my tubes is blocked but the other is not.  Ironic, that the ovary of the blocked tube is better than the ovary of the unblocked tube.  Crazy, di ba?
In 2010, after the xray, I had one doctor tell me to give up na lang, and not even consider in vitro since I have developed PCOS.  Di ba ang saya?  From bleeding like a blood donor sa red cross due to the myoma, to not bleeding at all. She even told me that I still have a small myoma and she thinks it could be cancerous.
Para akong binagsakan ng langit that time.  How can this fertility expert tell me in one breath to give up my dream of becoming a mom and, at the same time, that I could have cancer. then the next breath, she scheduled me to come back for more check ups.  I never went back to her.
Mga sis, that was the lowest point of my life siguro. I felt numb, I remember going to a nearby chapel and crying and crying and crying.  I was calling my husband but he was caught in a meeting and couldn't leave.  I'm crying as I write this kasi bumabalik ang pain kahit na matagal na nangyari.
After that, I went into depression.  Sabi nga ng husband ko, di na daw nya ako nakikita tumatawa or ngumingiti man lang.  Madalas tulala and walang gana sa buhay.  I used to love babies and tuwang tuwa ako nakakakita ng baby.  Nakikipaglaro pa ako.  Pero that time, I stopped.  Parang ayoko na sa bata.  Nagkababy mga hipag ko, pero dedma lang ako.  Ayoko hawakan o laruin o tingnan.  I thought my husband didn't notice but he did.
I became better when I got my dog.  She brought back the joy in my life and my husband knows it.
Right now, we're still hoping pero siguro nasanay na din kami na walang baby.  We have discussed adoption pero my husband wants sana na kanya ang bata, so we've even gotten to thinking na kumuha ng babymaker.  Pero it's all talk, nothing definite.  Siguro umaasa pa din kahit papano.
It doesn't help when relatives, friends, and people we barely know ask if ilan na anak namin or if wala pa.  Mas lalo na yung nagtatanong ng bakit wala pa.  I swear some people are so rude to ask personal questions and it takes all my good manners not to make away sa kanila.
I'm close to giving up already.  I try not to think about it anymore kasi i'm tired of hearing my own heart break.
Thankful ako sa husband ko kasi he's never made sumbat or sisi.  He's very supportive of me.

^  :'( I can feel your pain sis, especially about the part of having insensitive people around, family and friends even. Unlike you, si hubby ko ang may diperensya samin. Nitong latest bouts of depression ko, he offered for a divorce/annulment if I will be happy with someone else who can give me a baby without any difficulty. Naiyak naman ako, he's a kind person kasi. He loves my own family, he loves me so much and I can see how much he tries hard to give me the best of everything. Wala akong naging sakit ng ulo sa kanya bilang husband. Then it dawn on me, is he worth that baby I am going after? Willing ba akong i-end ang marriage namin just because may pagkukulang siya, which is hindi naman niya kasalanan or ginusto? Alam ko kasi if ever the situation is reversed hindi niya ako iiwan eh. He will be coming home next month for his RnR and I will tell him personally that he is worth a dozen babies to me. That while I long to be a mom, it will not be at the expense of our wonderful relationship. We will still try and hope but whether we have one or not, we will go thru it together.

Maswerte pa rin tayo kahit papano because we have wonderful husbands. It took my friend who is also TTC to realize that we are in a better shape than her. She's got one ovary removed, and she's no longer young. Her bf is a seaman, so LDR most of the time, also the breadwinner sa family niya and he is also the one na bumubuhay sa ate niya and sa pamilya nito. the promised wedding has been moved so many times that she doesn't think that they will even get married pa. She always loses her job due to politics and her own mom pinalayas siya from their house. She lives from paycheck to paycheck. And to think na she's the one trying to cheer me up pa. She inspired me to not to let the hope in me die, and to be thankful of whatever God bestows upon us. Sabi nga niya, having babies is not a right, but a gift. It is also not the end to all means, not a phase in life that is required to be happy and complete.

I used to worry about him wanting another woman who can give him a child.  I'm older than he is and I know it's important for men to have kids.  But he would always tell me that he would never leave me just because he wants a kid.  Sure, he's thinking about using a babymaker, but that's only so we can have a child.  Ako pa din ang asawa nya at sa akin pa din sya uuwi at bubuo ng family.
'
Inspite of our not being able to conceive, we should still be thankful kasi we have blessings pa din.  Maybe it's just not the right time for us.

your friend is right sis.  I so much agree with her.  Yes its more happier to have kids, but people and our society put it as requirement to have child/children to call you a "family" once you got married.  Nevertheless, nakaka inspire friend mo :) i love those lines :)

Why don't you go for invitro?  If his sperm is not sufficient, will he be accepting it if you get from another man?

I'm still childless myself, I thought it would be easy for me to have a baby since most of my relatives have had easy pregnancies.  There are people who are really insensitive about the issue na parang ako pa talaga ang may kasalanan.  Dinadaan ko nalang din sa joke and just recently, I went to a highly recommended obgyn.  I don't mind paying extra for a topnotch service.

^we are not partial to another man's child. Personal experiences of close family. Also, IVF is too costly or us now. We have lots on our plate at the moment, and I know if we didn't buy a new house we might be able to afford an invf for us. But then, meron nga kaming baby, wala naman kaming house or pambuhay sa kanya. We have money but we will go under if we didn't watch it. I am open to adopting a baby, pero he's not kasi he's still hoping. He has experienced raising kids na Hindi kanya from a previous marriage and na trauma na ata siya. We still have lots of emotional reconciliation to do.

My uncle and auntie has been married for 37 years. And they don't have any kids. Nothing is wrong with them naman daw sabi ng doctor, they kept trying until they just learned to live with it nalang. My husband and I have been together for 2 years and still no kids. If by the time we are 35 and no kids yet, we're 27 now, then we're going to try IVF. I don't want to have kids, honestly, I think it's selfish that you want kids just because you are married and want to complete you're little family. You're bringing life to this world just to satisfy your role, like in the end, it's all about you, that you bore a child, that you gave birth. Not a lot of people gets it, understands the way I think, you may think I am harsh or rude but it's what I believe in.
