Inggit ako in a positive way or should I say girl crush ko sya hahaha I find myself looking at her FB profile most of the time hehe

She is living the way I wanted to live my life eh: Pretty, tall, smart, sexy, athletic (triathlete, mountaineer), artist (photographer, writer and good in drawing), magaling sa kusina, one of the boys, friendly and seems very happy sa kanyang single life kahit 34 na sya.  ;D

Yung inggit ko about facebook friends is not material wealth or sa taas ng pinag aralan.
We've been trying to conceive since I got ectopic pregnancy last Janaury 2013, and until now we are still trying. I guess it is normal na mainggit talaga if almost everybody your age, or kakilala already gave birth / has children / has a baby / pregnant.

Kaya ako as much as possible iwas muna sa facebook, naiiyak lang ako :'(

Bakit ako maiinggit sa kanila? Not that I have everything anyone could ever ask and hope for. It's just that in Facebook, I take everything on face value - there's more to their lives that they're not making public than what they are posting for others to see.

I experienced Facebook envy too and may umaway na rin sa akin before (dahil pa-perfect daw ako sa Facebook). Ang thing naman dyan eh, why would people post the bad stuff when they can just highlight the good stuff diba? Ika nga, don't wash your dirty laundry in public.

What I did is I limited my time on Facebook and focused on more fulfilling things (for me) like blogging and learning photography. :)

Agree.  Kaya don't take things you see on FB at face value.

I seldom open my facebook account. Hindi dahil sa naiinggit ako in fact natutuwa naman ako pag nakikita ko updates nang mga friends ko. it's just that there are so many things to do than spending time liking, commenting or looking at the updates of others, I'd rather spend my time here in gt or other informative sites.

So pathetic lang.

Iba kasi culture dito sa new work ko. Although they are nice, I don't consider them as friends kasi puro professional relationship lang.

Before I left the company, I told myself I don't need friends, I need money. Now that I have money, I miss my friends :(  feel na feel ko ang stress and pressure now sa new work ko because I don't have a confidant. Oh well.. I just think that at the end of the day at least I can do whatever I want after work and I can still see my old friends..

I'm that way too... siguro once every 2 to 3 weeks lang ako may chance mag-check. Beyond that it feels like a job/duty -- but that's just me...

i just disabled my fb account because I realized nagiging makasalanan ako everytime I open my FB and I see my friends' posts showing off their stuff and then I was starting to dislike them. Not because I envy them but because I find their posts really tacky (eg. selfies, posting of gadgets, achievements, etc. which for me should be kept to themselves na lang at di na kelgan pang ipost pa for everyone to see)

I can relate to how you feel, so I limited by newsfeed to close friends lang talaga. I just want to get an update on their lives. I haven't seen for years -- I don't subscribe to them anymore.

Haha kaya sometimes ayoko magopen facebook :) parang everyone's life e sobrang bongga, saken nganga haha. But well, some people just post the good stuff online, so malamang lamang, you only get to see half of the story, and only the good ones.

But still as much as possible, i just try to be happy and contented and minsan  nalang magopen para di ako madepress and maawa sa sarili ko HAHA.

Nakakainggit kasi when they post pics of their tours/vacays, job promotions/achievements, mga new stuff. :P

Pati mga gumanda, bumlooming or pumayat. BABAW hehe :D Kaya tambay ako ng twitter eh, not fb :))

One of the simplest things to get rid ang pagiging envy is to edit your timeline then remove posts of these persons para when you went back sa FB and check updates, di mo na makikita posts nila.

I also encounter this Facebook Envy before but I realized walang magagawa ang pagiging envy because eto ang nagtutulak sa'yo pababa, eto ang nagtutulak to tell yourself buti pa sila, and start comparing your life to there's. What I did is
- not to go to Facebook everyday
- not to post everyday about status in my life like where I go, what I buy, and etc.
- not to upload pictures of where I go last summer. (However, hinayaan ko na lang yung mga naka-tag if a friend tags me along...)
- hide all your albums like where did you go last 2012, and etc. In short, and public album ko na lang is the pictures of my black cat.
- If I go to facebook, I make sure what I see is what keeps me inspiring. I just hide all posts of friends which makes me envy.
- Talk often to friends via FB chat, through phone call, or through skype. Hwag idaan sa post message.
- And lastly, I just go to my facebook 5 minutes a day to check for any status or messages. In short, di na ako masyado tumitingin. I already practice this habit and it works.

I always think na ang Facebook is to CONNECT and COMMUNICATE to your friends, not to BRAG. I don't want others to feel the same way against me.

^ i feel the same way
Pero she's just on vacation sa pinas at pagbalik nya abroad for sure panay nanaman ang stressful life posts niya sa timeline ko.

So iniisip ko nalang na di dapat ako mainggit kasi i'm happy and contented to live my life the way i want it kahit ang dami kong struggles esp. to my career. I don't need to share everything online just to get likes and sympathies.

Kahit anong block or hide or unsubscribe natin eh iba naman ang mabubwisit nila, lol!

Anyway, since hindi natin ma-control, let's address yung mga bagay na within our control, like our mind-set and emotions. We can control what to do with our account = clean it up! Get rid of superficial posts. We can control how we see the posts = nakakainggit minsan, yes, pero let's look at it as an inspiration to better ourselves. Para next time, tayo naman lol!

OMG. Gantong ganto ako. Everytime na nasa newsfeed ako I feel the "empty, alone, sad, jealousy, down" feeling. Lagi yan. As in lagi. Then dumating yung time na nasisira na talaga yung araw ko tuwing magffb ako, kaya inunti unti ko yung pagiwas sa fb, hnggang sa deactivate tas after a few days log in ulit, tas deactivate tas log in ulit.  Hanggang sa tinatamad na ko. Active sya pero ako na yung umayaw. Di na talaga ako nagfacebook after nun. Then grabe pinagbago ko, I can really say na yun ang culprit ng pagiging moody ko and depress. I am an introvert kasi. Seeing your friends having fun and all while your at home and cant do anything will really make you feel envy and and down. So all I can advise is to stay away from facebook.
