15. What are the management fees that I will pay when investing in the BDO UITFs?

As compensation for the Trustee’s services and to cover for the costs involved in managing the UITF, a trust fee, which may range between 0.50% and 1.50% is charged to the fund and is already incorporated in the daily NAVPU of the particular BDO UITF. There are no agent’s commissions which is common practice for mutual or insurance funds.

16. Are investment proceeds from the UITFs subject to taxes?

Taxes, when due, are already deducted when computing the NAVPU. Thus, proceeds from UITFs are already net of taxes.

* BDO Peso Money Market Fund (PMMF) - super safe at mabagal, parang time deposit without the too long withholding period
* BDO Peso Fixed Income Fund (PFIF) - relatively safe.  more than time deposit or SDA
* BDO Peso Balanced Fund (PBAL) - half and half.  half bond (safe), half equity/stocks (risk)
* BDO Equity Fund (EQUITY) - 100% equity/stock (take your risk)

I'm interested with the PMMF and PBAL. Sa PMMF ba 10k then 1k a month or what?

Of course they do.. Banks aren't charity you know. They need to earn.

But again, the way you said it sounded like UITFs charges fees
STRAIGHT from your investment money.

This might mislead people. Now if you're talking about Mutual Funds
then you are absolutely right.

Anyways, they do charge you but on the fund as a whole and the NAV
is already net of fees.

Good for you but not everyone has the business acumen to succeed on a business
venture nor does everyone find being a business owner a good idea.

I personally do not like to be a business owner.
I'm earning good money as an employee and I don't face the same risks
as the company's owner.

For people like me or just someone who's always unsuccessful in a business
they're better off investing in a UITF and spending their time honing their skills
to get a higher salary.

just finished mag backread pero since 1st time ko intindihin ang investment medyo confuse pa ko. i want to try this BDO EIP, pero question muna mga sis.
 i will open SA na 2k ang minimum to open dba? tapos avail of EIP na fix income fund. Si EIP kay SA kukuha monthly so si SA dapat laging more than 2k ang laman? tama po?
If i let it stay there for lets say 2 years ng walang galawan, ok lang dba? how much na kaya value nun, kahit range lang.

^hi sis, I opened my EIP equity fund last April.  You need to have SA where they will be deducting the amount that you want for your EIP. Minimum is 1k and then once you reach 10k they will be giving you COP (certificate of participation).

Finally nakapag open na ako ng new acct with BDO, kaso yung first deduction for EIP sa 15th pa ng June. Dapat this month na eh kaso may pagka eng eng yung nag assist sa akin kaya umabot pa ng ilang weeks tuloy.

ok lang kaya kung let's say 10k ang allotted savings ko per month, ilagay ko sa stocks ang 5k (COL) then 1k ditto sa EIP, and remaining 4k regular savings account? ok bang idea yun?

Also, kung 10k pa bago magkaCOP, it means it will take 10 months bago maachieve un or depende sa kita ng hinuhulog mo monthly?

^depende naman sayo kung ano ang i-set mo na idededuct nila sa SA mo every month. Sa akin ang schedule ng deduction from my SA is every 5th and 20th (yun kasi sweldo namin), 1k per payday. Bale 2k a month. You can set the amount higher kung may budget ka pa sis.

Meron ba dito na nagpull out na ng cert nila? How much ngayon?

I've redeemed some of my COP before when I had to pay
for taxes on our home.

I don't get what you mean by your question about how
much though.
Are you asking for the NAV?

Interested ako sa BDO EIP, parang palawagan ang pagkakaintindi ko, sure na kikita ang ininvest mo na total of 10K.  Just want to ask if how much ang makukuha mo na earnings once you finish the 10K is it the same or it will earn?

I pulled out my 2 COP and discontinued the program. Not worth na ngayon ang BDO EIP, natulog lang ang 20k ko.

Request to liquidate the COP was last Friday (i forgot to take note what is the current NAVpu then):

1 COP = liquidated at value 9,982.53
2 COP = liquidated at value 10,078.77

So total of 61.3 pesos kinita ko since Aug 2013. Hahaha!

Then since i stopped without completing the COP, nacharge yung 2k ko, bale 1,990.95 na lang nakuha ko don.

Bale total of 52.25 lang ang kinita ko all in all.
