Update on application: Appointment date: July 31, French Embassy

We arrived in the French Embassy at 7:45am for the 8am appointment. There was a line and we got number 10, everyone around was just chatting normally and you can clearly hear what the collector asks to every applicant especially if you pay close attention. One couple was asked so much, One girl was asked "why did you apply here when you have applied in German Embassy? you got denied? etc". So I was worried for ours because it was our first time encounter and I am a bit confused on the application form and just filled it up as France only, then financial documents and itinerary to be on just 1 copy because it is a group application anyway. (like in UK)

Moment of truth came, we were called. Basic questions only like "where will you go" "where are the tickets, itinerary" "payment of 2,970/each" and "arrange this documents according to what it says and wait to be called again".

To my horror its says "Provide one original and one photocopy set" panic strikes because the financial documents were mostly in joint accounts so I only have one set of original for the three of us! waah, I rushed to the photocopier downstairs and had everything photocopied and doing extra because they might want another copy. I paid 289 for all at 2/per page and went back up again and my sister said we were called already at Window 4.

So I went straight to Window 4 to clarify if she do need a set of originals especially on Bank Certificates because we only have one because we are on joint accounts. She answered "I just need to see the original document because we won't return anything" - makes sense and then asked me again "who are you?" (I was a bit stunned and found it rude) I answered "surname" then she said "what time is your appointment?" I answered "8am" then she said "it's 9:30 already, I am not going to wait for your documents the whole day, make it fast!"

SHE WAS SO RUDE! Her voice was authoritative, "maldita" kind one, to think that she is just a collector in the embassy, she shouldn't be like that!  I didn't bother to tell that we were on time but there was a line! and everybody else before our number needs to be called first. I got really pissed off that I have it the whole day!

Hay.

We are to get the decision on August 4, 11:30am and I am going to see her again. We are frequent travellers and hoping for positive results, can't think of any reason to get denied.

We got our visa already but valid for one month only. We would cancel the hotel bookings also but is there any possibility that the immigration would ask for it? TIA

@ glacy Immigration sa pinas? or immigration sa euro country na pupuntahan mo?

sa experience ko di naman nila ask sa euro country n napuntahan ko yung hotel booking

@glacy_rein medyo nalito ako dun sa post mo? one month visa lang yun binigay? as in you have to use it within one month from date of issue? or you mean you were given one month from the time you set foot on the euro country (period of sojourn) ? i will apply kase 3 months before our planned trip so if nagbibigay ng visa validity for 1 month lang eh paano yun? thanks.

got my visa from italian embassy today. they requested additional documents from us and we forwarded it last july 27. after 7 working days nirelease nila schengen visa namin. ang tipid magbigay ng italian embassy sept 16 - oct 6 lang binigay sa amin pero ok na hanggang sept 29 lang naman kami sa italy.

^^yes sis yung validity start ng travel ko sa UK, I gave the copy of my plane ticket kasi. Unlike UK Embassy they give 6months from the start of approval of application, sa French Embassy or Schengen magsstart sya sa ticket na ipoprovide mo.

in our case Sept 8 ang flight ko to UK then I provided a Sept 19 Eurostar train ticket to Paris covered sya in one month. That's Sept 8, 2015 - October 8, 2015 Multiple Entries na.

^ sis is the eurostar ticket refundable or rebookable? we're also entering paris from london, kinakabahan kasi ko baka hindi ma-approve visa and masayang yung ticket.

^Sis upon checking Business Premier Class lang ang refundable pero Terms and conditions applies. Super expensive £245 samanatalang standard tickets costs only £40-50

If frequent traveller ka and complete documents I don't see any problem. Purchase nalang tickets from Airline na pwede reservation lang, auto-cancel yun atleast may mapapakita ka. Yun lang alam ko may small fee yun.

Hello everyone. Please assess my situation.

We've already applied last year sa Italian Embassy,  I think factor na immigrants and parents ko sa Italy and we are working under our family business. We even appealed to the court sa Rome, unfortunately they insisted na fake ang documents namin and we were ripped off by our lawyer since di nya kami nadefend ng maayos.... 

Anyways, so this time we'll be travelling again sa Prague naman, I will be meeting my friend there. And napagusapan na mamasyal nadin kaming family. Since I think factor na may kakilala ka sa ibang bansa to raise their suspicions, balak kong wag nalang banggitin yun and magtour nalang ang sabihin ko.

24 years old, single
Working as Financial Analyst sa family business namin
P250,000 annual income
$1800 in my dollar account
P50,000 in my peso account
Been to Japan 3x(multiple visa na), Korea, Hongkong, Cambodia

My brother:
25 years old, single
Working as Manager in our family business
P100,000 in bank account
Been to Japan 2x(multiple visa din), Hongkong

His gf:
24 years old, Single
Manager in their family business
P200,000 in their family account
Been to Hongkong and Japan.

Any chance and advices and tips? Kinakabahan ako sa tatak ng denial ng Italian embassy tapos nagappeal din kami kaso denied talaga. Please give me advice ladies!

Hello everyone.. I just wanted to check. Sa requirements for French Embassy, nakalagay COE with MONTHLY salary.. what hubby and I have is ANNUAL. Big deal ba yun if we do not have monthly? Or should I just add payslips in that case?

^Sis ok lang yan na ilagay sa COE na with annual salary of ..... attach your Tax form din to suffice it. ok na yun.

Did I get it right? wala sa pinas ang parents mo and nasa Italy? Why did your lawyer didn't defend you enough.. kakahinayang! If Prague ang visit mo bat hindi sa Czech Republic embassy ka mag-apply?

Hi @glacy_rein, thanks for the reply! Yes my parents were both immigrants sa Italy na. Unang hearing kase, ang sinasabi ng Philippine Italian Embassy is fake yung documents namin, which is not true. We have more than enough documents to prove that those are legit, kaso hindi ginamit ng abogado for our defense. Tinago nya din yung final decision ng court about our case dahil humihingi pa sya ng additional money. He's more after the money than giving results unfortunately... Ayun. So natrauma talaga ako sa experience ko with Italian Embassy....

We're planning to lodge it in Czech Republic na nga, kaso baka kase yung previous denial ng Italian embassy e makaapekto sa amin? Yun nga dahil din nagcourt kame, baka nagkagrudge yung Italian embassy at siraan kami sa Czech pag kinontak sila to asked about our denial... Sorry sobrang paranoid ko.

^Sorry to hear about your experience but I don't think they would hold any grudges. As long as kumpleto papers nyo I don't see any reason na ma-deny kayo on your next application. Of course you also have to make sure na mapakita nyo na talagang tour lang yung intention nyo and not go on TNT (red flag din kasi na your parents are immigrants in Italy). ^^agree with mama_squeak, they will definitely ask you about what happened with Italian embassy as it is part of the application (if you have applied previously and if it was granted or denied and why) then you have the chance to tell that you did try to appeal yourselves even to the point of reaching the court but to no avail you got the wrong lawyer who is after your money and not helping you out. They will see the reason why you did not pursue but it doesn't hold you now that's why you are applying again. Now dito mo idedefend why you want to visit Prague, they might even ask if you will go to Italy etc. basta handa ka kasi yung ibang interviewer can pressure you na hindi kana makakasagot ng maayos so dapat kalma lang.

Filipina ba yung nasa counter? Super pet peeve ko yang mga power trippers na yan; porket they know you need a visa akala mo kung sino...

But glad to hear you got the visa! You can cancel your hotel booking, although they might just ask you at immigration where you're staying in France. It doesn't have to be the same as when you applied for the visa.

When are you travelling again pala? Just watch the news ha, as there's still that issue the UK-France is having with migrants at Calais. There's been delays in the Eurostar because of it; and I'm not sure if Eurostar is okay na. I just know the problem is still unsolved.

The Czech Republic will be fair naman, but they will know about your application with Italy. You'll just have to show proof na you are all definitely going to go back to the Philippines. Best of luck!

^yes filipina, on Sept 19-23 ako then my mum and siste 19th to 27th. Nako time is precious! sana maging ok na by that time.

I don't know of anyone who has used Eurostar kase, I could update you sana. I think it should be okay now kase there's no new news after that article. Migrants were getting into the tunnel kase, but they've upped the security na daw (although people are still there trying to get through the border).
