I got my visa today from the French embassy!  One month validity lang, multiple entry. 

Sobrang bilis lang ng process and I really don't think anyone needs to hire a travel agent to apply for Schengen visas.

question po, i asked a travel agency to get me a flight booking that i will present at the french embassy on tuesday.  they booked it today, but when i saw the email it's cancellation date will be on the day of my visa appointment.  my appointment is at 9am, and the ticket will be cancelled by 12noon. would that be considered invalid already?  what should i do?  should i ask for a new booking?

another thing, do the french embassy now require tickets for all the places we include in the itinerary? i mean the trains and other attractions have non-refundable costs, sayang naman if we get denied if we book these already.  i tried backreading, some booked some didn't. what is the current process?

and lastly, my real purpose of going to europe is i enrolled in a summer academy in france for one month, but i want to extend my trip by another 2 weeks to do a tour .. in the schengen visa application, what is the main purpose(s) of the journey i indicate, just study or study and tour?

Hi girls. Just want to confirm something.

I'm currently working on my cover letter for the Schengen visa application.
I'll be meeting my friend in Paris (who'll be studying there for a month) and we'll proceed on going around  Europe. In short, susundan ko siya don. Do I need to mention in my cover letter that I'll be meeting her there or no need na? The hotel bookings that I will present is under her name. Won't it be an issue if I won't mention na I'll meet her there?

^Yes, you have to mention na you will be with your friend. Since the hotel bookings are all in your friend's name logical na the consul will ask you who that person is di ba? Otherwise the embassy will look for hotel confirmations under your name.

Hi sissies!

Hope you can help me. I'm planning to go to Europe for about 35 days next year around April or May for our honeymoon (getting married on January). It's gonna be our first time in Europe kaya I feel nervous about the visa application. The thing is, fiance has an online business and I am currently working with him. The business is registered in DTI, SEC and BIR. However, being an online business, wala namang law for taxation for online businesses diba, so in short, we really don't have an accurate income tax return for the business. Will that be an issue kaya? Though sa other requirements no issue naman, like bank accounts, etc. I have a valid US Mult entry visa, fiance has expired green card (did not renew), and traveled most Asian countries (China, S Korea, etc). Will we have problems kaya? I was advised din na wag daw sa Italian embassy cause they're very strict? Appreciate your feedback!

^^ not sure with the italian embassy but we have submitted international bank statements and they accepted din naman. Regular savungs and offshore account.

I'm new in FN and hope to hear from you.

My bf (Danish citizen, working in phils) and I are planning to go to DENMARK this Christmas. He will sponsor my trip and we'll be staying in his parents house mostly.

If i'll apply a Schengen visa, which do you think has a more chance of being granted -

option A - applying just TOURIST VISA
option B - as FIANCEE VISA
option C - via INVITATION

The thing is I am 25, Single and unemployed. I get money straight from my parents by helping in our family business.

Is EMPLOYMENT a big factor to be granted and visa? What would be my supporting documents to present since I don't have any ITR and property under my name?

I have a good bank records though with 7 digits for almost two years now. Would it help?

^The money will only show them that you have the means to support your trip abroad.  But they need to see that you do not intend to stay in the Schengen states, and that you will come back to the Philippines. 

I personally think that stable employment here or a long-standing business here will convince the consuls that you intend to come back.  If you have neither, there's a chance you might not be granted a visa. But there's no harm in trying.

Highlifedaisy, you help in the family business so you are employed. But are you formally employed meaning you are one of the partners or you have an ITR? If yes then that would help and just have your company HR make you an employment certificate.

If not, i remember that there is a question in the form that asks if you have any other income aside from your main one. Maybe you can put there the allowance that you get from the family business.

And it is best to do the tourist route if you are just visiting and just have an invitation letter from your boyfriend indicating your relationship, his spinsorship of your travel expenses through cash or accomodation.

@melvel Awww. Then it's really a minus that I am unemployed. But yeah, we will still try and give it a shot. Do you knoy anything sis thay can be a plus factor? I will apply for it on September. 

@little_princess No, unfortunately I am not being taxed. I am not an official employee.
Thanks for info sis, yeah maybe it's better to stick to tourist visa to avoid a lot of hassle.

^ you can check with your accountant or accounting firm if they can make an ITR for you. Ours can kasi. and if they can, you can also declare that you are employed with your family business (since it is) and ask them to make a company ID and certification for you na lang.

If not, better just say that you are unemployed though the risks are higher.

@little_princess actually sis, I am already considering that. But I'm a lil afraid that the embassy might check on BIR records ( if they do such background check, I dont know.)

Sis, how bout if you're a stockholder in a company? Can you also show that?

^ It's a big risk talaga if they check, I know people like you and did that and got away with it but I haven't myself and I'm not sure if I would do it myself.

I think you can present that especially if you get dividends na substantial amount on a regular basis.

just a thought lang ha, there are a lot of girls applying for a fiance/tourist visa with their foreign partners (mga ala-mail order brides) and they are probably unemployed too and they get approved. so baka naman kaya.

Anybody here who has an idea how long they process student visas? I applied for a spanish student visa four weeks ago and I still haven't heard from the consulado. I'm getting nervous because my course starts last week of june. They didn't tell me how long the wait is but I read online that it takes 4 to 10 weeks. Meron ba ditong may experience sa student visas?
