For applying a Schengen Visa, which is better, doing it by myself or with visa assistance?
 
Do you know any reliable  agencies that offers visa assistance?

Re booking a visit online for Italian Embassy, creating an account is required kasi di ba. Then, do I have to include my name sa person/family members to add (for the visit)

Hi girls!

Just a suggestion It helps to go through agencies also in applying. I used World Destinations Travel Corp (a little pricier lang) but the entire French Embassy experience for me was really awesome As in no stress kasi may kasama ako from agency the entire time.

Some helpful tips:

1. Solid travel history {have Canadian, Mexican, Japan and Irish visas}.
2. Solid funding {present your bank info, investments and stocks}
3. Passports of companions {I showed my parents' US passports}
4. Approved leave signed by my boss, employment history
5. 3 months' payslips
6. 3 years' ITR
7. Letter from my parents why we're going to France

After a week, my passport was delivered with my Schengen visa I love France!

teeyah, what agency did you go to and how much yung fee nila? and how long visa validity did you get? i had tactours assist me and ok naman, 7-8k lang yung fee

^Used World Destinations, fee was 7,500 And I was given 30 days. Parang max sa Schengen these days 90 days na lang. Used to be multiple years.

If I ask for the help on a travel agency, they will be the one to fix everything for me, including itinerary (or follow parin my itinerary), airline and
hotel booking? I've already purchased our airline tickets. I haven't booked a single hotel though.

^ they will fix everything for you even if you have booked your tickets and flights. they will provide you everything - hotel bookings, airline tickets, itenirary and travel insurance. they will also book the appointment for you and have priority in the interview.

I still don't have the long term schengen visa I applied for 7 weeks ago at the Spanish consulate. I applied for a student visa. Someone told me that they are denying 90% of long term visa applications. I'm getting so nervous. Sana makuha ko na soon.

^ they didn't give you a date on when to pick it up? tourist visa lang naman to but the spanish embassy gave me a date to pick up my passport eh. maybe try to call them and follow up?

^ the process for tourist and long-term visas (student, working, etc) are completely different. Tourist visas maximum of 5 days. Long-term visas are, I think, processed in Spain kaya it takes them longer. No, they didn't give me a date of pick-up. They just told me they'll contact me when it's ready for pick-up. I am hoping somebody here has experience with long-term visas lodged at the Spanish consulate or kahit anong long-term visa. Wala yata.

^sis, hindi ka nasagot ni sis beahero? She got hers at the Spanish embassy for her one month study in Madrid.

^ she did but her application was different. The language school I think processed her visa. My case is different because my program is longer so I had to prepare a lot of documents here like medical exams, police clearance, etc. Thanks again for referring her.

Got our visas today, yay! We submitted our applications last week, July 3, and requested to return today. Buti na lang, wala na additional requirements na hiningi.

So we went to French Embassy earlier and they did not accept our application because it's not our main destination daw. Our point of entry is Rome and both France and Rome have equal number of days. We wanted to lodge our application to French Embassy because we're guaranteed to receive the result in 7 days. Sa Italian Embassy parang 2 weeks or more. We're planning to revised our itinerary to have longer days in France. Would you suggest that or we just proceed with Italuan Embassy? Magkakaproblem ba kung yung actual itinerary  iba sa pinakita naming itineray sa Embassy? TIA!

^sis, hindi talaga nila tatangapin yung application ninyo since Rome ang point of entry ninyo.

If you did some backreading and you checked the first page of this thread, nakalagay dun yung guide kung saang embassy kayo dapat nag-apply ng visa.

If hindi naman kayo gahol sa oras, might as well apply with the Italian embassy. Otherwise you will have to revise your itinerary to show longest kayo sa France or if still the same number of days with Italy make France your point of entry.

Thanks sa feedback mama squeak. Akala namin since pareho ng duration ok lang na kahit saan sa dalawa . If we're gonna change our itinerary hindi kaya magtanong Embassy why we're changing our ITs? Baka matandaan kami ng masungit n girl na pinipilit niyang 5 days lang daw kami sa Paris kasi 5 nights yung nasa hotel reservation. Preferred kasi namin French Embassy kasi ang haba ng wait time sa Italian Embassy. Ang haba ng agony.
