Hello sis! nice thread. . Ngayon lang ako naging interested sa crystals when someone introduce  meditation and kasama na yung mga about sa crystal. At first parang ayaw ko pero since naisip ko na makakatulong sa akin why not. Then I purchased rutilated clear quartz and after ko ma cleanse and started my ritual dun ko napatunayan na talaga palang may energy. Na feel ko na attuned na sa akin and I feel calm and at peace.  Eto pa lang ang crystal ko nagbabasa muna ng pede ko gawin bracelet. Interested din ako sa citrine from what I read for prosperity ito.

Someone taught me to have it cleanse under running water for 2-3 mins. Then put under the sun fr 2-4 hours. Others said that some of them cleanse their crystal by burrying in into the ground for a week or months, some soak it in salt.. Pero mas ok na yung una since gagamitin mo na agad naman e.

May nkatry na ba bumili along Ongpin st.?  Okay ba mga sis?  Yung store na napuntahan ko sa harap ng nagbebenta ng decors and mahjong set.  Lumabas na din yung may-ari sa TV discussing crystals and Chinese astrological signs.

Since I first discovered the thread, I've accumulated a very modest collection of crystals.  With the help of tips and references here (plus hours just looking at crystals while shopping) I am able to spot what I need wherever I go. However, regardless sa quality, ganda, or rarity ng crystal, if I feel it's not for me, I'd leave it for someone it was probably meant for. But when I feel that certain affinity, my goodness, minsan I say good luck na lang to my wallet.

Authentic Pink kunzite is pricey.   Most I have seen here are synthetic.  Authentic kunzite is like a light pink diamond -- it sparkles from within.  But of course, not as sparkly as diamonds.
So between kunzite & rhodochrosite -- go for the latter.  Save your money for buying kunzite jewelry.  Kasi as a bracelet, sayang kunzite beads -- you are just gonna chip/break it all over.

If you are getting a lot of "toxicity" in a place/room (for awhile, ang init ng ulo namin ni hubby sa family dining room -- where we eat our meals almost daily -- lahat napapagalitan.  So I put a block of Rose Quartz there & a smaller block of rhodochrosite.   It's not instant -- but shortly, hindi na kami ganon ka toxic there.
So, yung areas where ang init ng ulo ng mga tao -- put any naturally pink colored crystal.

May share all episode:   
Yang sa Binondo, a corner away from ATONG --  a block of pink crystal stone caught my attention.  It was cut like a slab on 1 side, the back left naturally raw.  Rhodochrosite daw. Duda ko coz of the whorls  but I couldn't let go.  It felt good to my touch too.  Buy.

A week or so after, na pa confirm ko sa gemologist friend ko na  poppycock jasper pala.  Lol.
It makes your libido level up. Lol.

Citrine is easier to acquire nowadays coz dami fake jade.

^^ Sis Aqua, I agree that kunzite is a bit expensive. Ang nabili ko sa akin ay tingin ko nasa lower-end quality kasi almost transparent white siya na may striations na may konting hint lang ng pagka-pink/lavender depende sa lighting.  Sana naman hindi synthentic nabili ko pero I remember nang una ko nahawakan ito medyo nahilo ako at nanlamig kamay ko.

Pero compare sa kunzite mas vibrant ang kulay ng rhodochrosite.

KUNZITE always has a pink tinge throughout,  & the crystal is clear. Think of it as a very light pink diamond.
The straight lines within or cracks are not of a different color from the crystal "body".  You see the lines/imperfections just the way you see imperfections in a diamond (not the carbon inclusions ha). 
It's not like rutilated quartz na clear ang bead tinged with color (gold/silver) tapos ang lines within can be a darker gold /bronze/silver.

In our weather, given the humidity -- after some time, plastic beads that look like the real thing --  have a slight stickiness to the touch. 
(I am not saying your kunzite is not authentic ha MAELOIC)

^ No problem, Sis Acqua.  Actually I like reading your posts - very informative.  Usually, I just read from the internet so any additional insights is very welcome.

Back to the kunzite - I understand what you are referring.  The striations I am talking about is not like the rutilated quartz.  It is uniform in color - whitish, although I'm not sure if the imperfections are comparable to diamonds. Imagine an almost translucent whitish bead that is equally and vertically divide by whitish translucent lines, then depending on the light, it sometime emits a very light pink or lilac hues-ganun ang nabili kong kunzite.  Actually, nakuha ko ito kay atong na binili ko lang based on his recommendations nang isang beses mapadaan ako sa store nya, hehe.
