Morning wedding ceremony
« on: December 31, 2012, 11:05:54 pm »
Hello sissies! 2013 is coming and we have 11 months to prepare everything... I'm a December 2013 bride. Actually we have reserved our 3pm wedding in Manila kaya lang parang I wanted to change the venue sana kaya lang mas magiging maaga. Need an advice lang mga sis, is it ok lang ba to have a morning wedding ceremony as early as 8am then reception follows at around 10am. Happy 2013 :)

Pag 8am ang wedding, baka 2am ang call time. I like morning weddings. It's fresh (wag lang umulan), may kakaibang drama compare to hapon wedding.

It's your wedding, its your special day. Huwag mong isipin yung ibang tao (I am mean!). Sabi ko nga sa ibang thread--only those people who matters to you at mga taong kino-consider kang mahalaga will be there and sacrifice their time to attend an early wedding.

Mahirap kayang gumising ng maaga hahahhah.

^sis thanks to that! Hehe. 6 hours ba talaga ang prep time?

Tama ka sis ang hirap nga gumising ng ganun kaaga pero as a bride baka di ka na makatulog nun! Haha

My Sister-in-law's wedding was last December 28, 2012. 7AM yung ceremony. I liked it because fresh ang feeling kasi hindi mainit. Hindi rin masyadong matao ang church, only friends and families. Solemn talaga.

What time sila nagstart ng preparation on the day itself? Sa reception ba madami naman nagpunta?

Sis mspepot, i think mga 4am need mo na gumising for the preparation. Hehe ako naman if we'll push through with 8am as early as 2am ang call time! Waaaahh!!! Ang aga nun...  :-\

an 8am wedding is a novel and cute idea.  your guests have received an invitation, so they have a choice to attend or not to attend- as long as they rsvp to let you know, of course.

my suggestion is to prime yourself a week or two before the wedding and go to bed at an ungodly early hour of- say, 6 pm- and train your body rhythm to wake up around 4 am.  that's a good solid 10 hours of sleep.  anyone can set an alarm and wake up at 2 am, but if you're not sanay with a setup like that, you'll probably look wilted and feel dog-tired by the time 8 am comes around.

good luck with your wedding!

^sis thanks for the advice! we've push through a morning wedding na para makatipid na din with the venue. ceremony will be around 9:45am but we want to put 9am sana on our invitation, will it be ok for the guests to wait for almost an hour or masyadong matagal baka naman mainip na sila?

another problem na naisip ko is the onsite video. we're planning to have one sana kaya lang our reception is an open area tapos morning pa so medyo maliwanag pa although covered sya surrounded with lot of plants kaya malilim pa din. pero yun nga lang baka hindi pa din makita ng guests. any idea mga sis if it's still possible?  ???

sis, as long as you are using a good projector kaya naman yan. i guess ilagay nyo lang sa malilim na area [textspeak!] white screen para mas madilim.
having a morning wedding is a good way to cut costs on the wedding. you don't need alcohol for starters. also, you don't need to treat your guests to a complete course dinner.
to make your reception unique, you may serve your guests breakfast like pancakes, waffles, or even unlimited tapsilog, longsilog, etc.
last year, my birthday party is a brunch party. i served waffles which they can create. may mga choices sila ng toppings. i also make mini-fritatta. kakaiba, not the usual. coffee, hot choco, and orange juice [textspeak!] sa drinks.

I also had a morning wedding.. true - fresh ang feeling.. and based on experience, hindi siya ganon ka-hassle.. my ceremony was at 9am, and we were already home by 3PM :) pero pag afternoon ang wedding, preps would start at early as 7am even if your wedding is at 3PM tapos after ng ceremony may after party pa, mga 9-10pm na matatapos.. more than 12 hours talaga..

I agree with sis mslcgrey, mas matipid ang morning wedding... no need to serve alcohol, no need to get mood lights - iba ang effect sa picture ng natural light :), no need for a DJ, basic sound system will do..

pero yun nga if you're not a morning person mahihirapan ka.. parang ako lang.. 8pm naglilibot pa ako sa rob ermita (malate church kami) at mga 9pm natulog.. nagising ng 12mn, ewan ko kung bakit, nahirapan na ako makatulog dahil siguro sa excitement, tapos 2am gising na dahil 3am nagaayos na kami..

thanks mga sis! i am now more excited in having a morning wedding.

Aawww!!! Just sharing experience with a morning wedding mga sis, we have covered a 9 am wedding last December, super aga ng preps mga sis, 4 am, dumating si HMUA ni client, then kami arrived at 4:30 am, nakasabay nga namin sila official photog. Sila OTD arrived at 5:30 am. In fairness, kahit maaga nagising is bride, blooming pa rin sya, maybe because excited sya... Even us, the suppliers, di na din feel ang antok, dahil na-excite na din kami...
