I know you're not supposed to bring electronic gadgets inside, pero need ko kasi para tawagan ang sundo after. May pag iiwanan ba dun? And if so, staff ba ng embassy yun pag iiwanan? Salamat.

^Walang mapapag-iwanan ng mga electronic gadgets na connected sa embassy. Meron mga nag-ooffer dun na mga vendors with a fee pero at your own risk. If I were you mag-set up na lang kayo ng magsusundo sa yo ng meeting point. Maraming restaurants sa harap ng embassy or sa side sa bandang Museo Pambata.

^that's what I did, pina-park ko na lang driver sa restos sa tapat. I don't trust the people na nagbabantay outside kasi di sila connected at all sa US embassy.

sis mga after 2 hours ka makipagmeet sa sundo. Kasi kami 6:30am din appointment namin, and we went out nga after 9am na, parang 9:30am na nga eh Good luck sis! Just be yourselves

The whole process was so quick for us! I filled out DS160 forms on a sunday, paid for the fee on monday, scheduled interview tuesday and our sched agad was friday na! My husband's passport came a week after and mine the week after that pa, I don't know lang why nagkahiwalay delivery ng passports namin kasi isa lang number namin during interview pero same namin kami na 10 yrs multiple If you see an earlier date and complete na requirements niyo, go na for the earliest sched! There's no point in waiting! Ako nga less than a week waiting time lang, medyo nainip pa hehe! We weren't even asked for documents kahit complete dala namin. Masaya yung experience kasi very organized sa loob grabe hindi ako nakaihi until natapos na ang interview namin hehe! God bless all your applications!

pink_baby and mama squeak and everyone, thank you sa help. Na-set ko na na one hour lang bago kami sunduin before ko nabasa yung message, fortunately, natapos after an hour, sakto. Since disabled si mama napauna din kasi kami sa pila. May wheelchair rental pero sa loob na. Yung queue sa labas wala, so I suggest bring your own muna or stool for the oldies, disabled, pwede naman pakiusapan yung guard na dapat may bantay sila sa labas lang, pinapaalis kasi nila yung ibang tumatambay dun.

Wala akong cellphone pero may "call a friend" services ang pink ladies for 50 pesos per minute so dapat kabisado nyo number ng sundo nyo or leave nyo sa sundo nyo cell nyo para matawagan; or have a copy of the number. Approved naman kami, it was renewal for my mom; first time for me at my god ang haba ng interview sa akin waaahhhh.

Sis, dami na rin kasi ako work experience so grueling ang interview kasi lahat ata ng naging work ko tinanong -- well yes, lahat nga kasi umabot na hanggang college life ko. So syempre di ko na mashado masagot yung iba, tipong ganito na ako, "As far as I can remember it was ..." It even asked pa about my late father's work, salary when he was still alive and working; if he'd left something for us or to my mom like properties, et cetera. More on verification sya. Tapos iikot yung tanong, uulit nanaman. Tapos I'm 29 years old kasi single and no kids. It was asked many times, "so you're single, not married, 29 years old and no kids?" paulit ulit sa akin tinanong yan, natatawa na nga lang ako when I responded "yes." Hindi ako naging defensive. And tinanong din kung may real estate property ako, sabi ko "I have none." So he asked kung renting ako, sabi ko, yes. I have a small business, so he asked about that and how much I am earning. My business started lang last September -- o diba high risk na high risk ako, at least to what everyone's saying in forums usually. My interview is long and grueling, para sa nakatayo lang sa window. Yung sa mga nauna sa akin short lang. Akin ang haba talaga.

So, in a nutshell, it will basically ask what you have written on your application form. Verification chu-chu lang. And just be honest lang talaga. I could hear some na mejo defensive talaga sa interview, so kahit totoo nagmumukhang di totoo. And take note 10k pesos lang ata nasa account ko kasi nagbayad muna ako ng mga bills and lahat ng dapat bayaran before ako interview hehe.

Hi sissies. My Dad is working in the army now I would like to visit my grandmom. The rest of my family is here though. id like to know my chances in getting a tourist visa given that I am:

Single
25 years old
Working in a multinational company for the last 3yrs
Last time I left the country was when I was 9
All my old travel docs were lost after Ondoy

Would my Dad being on active duty be a hindrance in getting a visa?

hi sisses so we have started planning this trip with friends and in the process syempte issues came up. one friend who has been part of our travel group matagal na has a mom na tnt for over 15 yrs na sa US kaya she's scared to apply. her mom is staying in one of he states that we are planning to visit if ever matuloy kami. matetrace kaya sa application nya ang status ng mom nya?

^^Sis peaceinsolitude, i don't think your father being in the army will play a role in applying for
a US Visa. Yung credentials mo lang alone will matter, and not your father.

My hubby is also a military officer plus a previously granted US Petition but he was granted a US Visa.
A colleague of his though, also sa military officer was denied a US Visa kasama yung 2 kids nya na below 5
years old both during the time they applied 2 years ago. Wife is a military officer also but the wife has
a US Visa. Reason for the Rejection of the application: he (The us consul) said that they have enough money
or funds to support the US Trip.

I mean kahit ha he is a US officer? Baka kasi sabihin na may strong family ties ako dun etc and dahil sa wala akong properties and single, it might complicate things

vainwritermost likely they can trace her mom unless iba ng ginamit na name yung mom niya when she left the Philippines. In the US
visa application form the name of the parents will be asked and if nakatira sa states currently. Unless she is planning to lie
sa application form palang. Pwede din naman na yes she'll say na nandoon nga mom niya pero
is estranged sila (mother abandoned them)
At the end of the day she could only know unless she try, its just a matter of $160.

is it beter to say that im a homebased businesswoman, or better ba sabihin na housewife ako to establish ties with kids? my hubby ig with me and he is both employed and have a biz.
