i don't know. i have friends who work for uscis and from their stories, it's hard to imagine how knowing anyone there can have any impact on your application. for one, applications go through many channels so it doesn't matter if you know anybody there because the decision isn't just based on one person. they also don't get a pick of the cases they handle. but the most improtant thing is, a wrong decision can spell disaster for them. so no, they won't be willing to jeopardize their jobs for anyone.

of course there could be exceptions. but those would be a fraction of a fraction of a fraction. the possibility's too small to be relied on.

my first advice is to apply now while the current administration is kinder to tourists, even the ones from countries na may problema talaga like The Phils. we applied during the bush era, right after 9-11 and for GC na kami pero may purnada pa din. my undeserving cousin never had to go through that kahit nag-tnt sya years ago and he can thank obama for that.  my second advice is if you're greedy and nagbabalak mag-tnt, i hope you suffer. ay wait that's not advice. lol.

Thanks! Medyo na apektuhan lang ako sa usapan namin ng cousin ko last night. Masyado silang worried kasi sa horror stories ng US visa application lol. Well, I'm trying to go back to my relaxed attitude which they think kasi its more of "bahala na attitude."

I guess swertihan lang din talaga ang pagkuha ng visa. As long as all documents presented are real and authentic, then there is nothing to fear naman. If, after everything, wala parin, maybe there is a reason...

But from those I know na nagrenew lately, wala naman na deny.

I guess there is nothing wrong if you bring them with you. =) pag ni-ask, well and good atleast prepared and may makita sila reason talaga. I hope you get approved

Yes sis pwede. Ako at 26 years old during my renewal I indicated on the application form that my dad will
pay for my trip.

Sis what you should prove more is not you really getting married, instead you prove them that you will come back
after that honeymoon (unless you plan to go to the us first before getting married). Hindi kasi ganun ka important for them yung purpose of going to the states. Eg, may mag parents na ng aaply ng visit visa
to attend their child's wedding in the states- deny. May invitation na proof ha. The US embassy would
always want to see your ties in the Philippines kasi that would show them that you will indeed return to Manila.

Sis chill ka lang. Do not over think things. Bring documents that you believe will show your ties here
in the Philippines just in case they ask it from you. Minsan they dont even ask for those things since there's an
interview naman.If you really want to spend your honeymoon there better apply na para at least malaman mo na yung result and
you can plan things na. If you delay it, the more days ka na kakabahan. If I were you i'll get it done and over with.

Hello. I am a law student currently and would like to apply for a tourist visa to the US. Do you think a financial support from my dad who is a Judge will help me together with his ITR and Bank Account Statements? I will also present a Certificate of Enrollment to prove that I am a student and I am really going back here. TIA

Yes, i think that will help. My interview was yesterday and it was approved! So happy finally its over. They didn't ask any of my super dami requirements na dala. And surprisingly most of the questions were about my family (me, my mom and brothers) and not my family (me, my ex hub, my daughter) considering I am still married. I will post soon the questions for future applicants! I'll wait first for my passport to arrive.

My appointment schedule was about 7:30am today April 25, 2013. Everything goes well, screening, finger prints and interview. Ang masasabi ko lang is swertihan lang talaga ang pagkuha ng U.S. Visa for Tourist. Denied again for the third time okay lang at tanggap ko na kase di na ko gaanu nagexpect. come what may na lang Si God na ang bahala. Kung bigyan nya ko Thank you if not okay lang din.
Pero hindi na sya ganun kasakit tulad last year April 19, 2012 na pagkalabas ko ng exit eh naiyak ako at sa sama ng loob.
2008 1st interview kasama parents ko my parents got their multiple visa pero ako DENIED.
2012 2nd interview DENIED
2013 3rd interview  DENIED

in my interview today hindi nila ask kung what is my purpose? kaya its really unfair.  deretcho tanong how long will you stay? sabi ko only 1 month and she ask me again were will you stay? sabi ko in my sister house Citizen na yun kapatid ko matagal na. Tapos ask nya kung nabigyan ako ng visa before? sabi ko No. Tapos she check my name in the computer.  ayun denied na ko. Ang bilis nawala ng 7k ko. Ewan ko ba sa kanila masyado sila maarte nagsasabi naman ng totoo pero ayaw nila bigyan ng visa. Mahigpit talaga sila sa single. Hay! i have all my supporting documents na talaga babalik ako sa Pinas ewan ko ba. Kapag di ka trip ng consul wala.

Basta ang masasabi ko lang swertihan lang talaga.

Wait mu lang change ng status mu (pag me asawa ka na) pero kung talagang need mu pumunta ng america sige try and try until you succeed. Goodluck sis and big hugs!

Naku sis ako nadenied din once last 2008 kaya natrauma na ako to get a visa again. Till ang mom ko nangulit to try and its her 3rd and my 2nd attempt na. I've been lurking this thread over and over kasi feeling ko madedeny ako but i guess swertihan lang and be sincere, yun ang baon ko kanina and yung purpose of travel ko sinapuso ko. I have no plans naman mag tnt dun talaga all i ever wanted is to the snow lols.  di ako nakatulog today kasi mega backread ako dito. Halos imemorize ko na lahat. Im 27 married but hubby is ofw and no kid yet. Since kasabay ko mama ko again pressure haha. Sabi namin if its gods will it will be done. Late nakami nakapasok sa 6:30 na appointment. Super friendly atmosphere lang ginawa ko. And nung turn na namin kabado kasi ilang beses ko narinig yung denied sa ibang applicants kaya bahala nakami. Luckily sa babae kami napunta and dahil dito nafigure out ko na mga sagot ko. Ako tinanong ng lahat lalo na sa purpose ko . To travel and to shop . Tas natawa na siya and repeated to shop hehe. And from that naging at ease nako . Ask lang work ko sabi ko me business na maliit and how long will i stay sabi ko 2weeks and my monthly income , no need to show my papers and sa mama ko work lang and income and kung me kakilala sabi ko walang relatives and sa hotel kami stay. Yung lang and approved. Basta key lang is maging honest and god will do the rest. If its time na naman mabibigyan din naman ang mga nadenied like me.

Hello, Got my passport last tuesday and I got 10 years multiple. I got there 6am, went out around 9:45am. Medyo madami daw talaga tao that day kasi no office daw the day before. Wala nga maupuan sa loob. So here's my Q and A...

Consul: What is your purpose...?
Me: Visit relatives, sightseeing and shopping
Consul: Are you going to pay for this trip?
Me: I'm paying for my ticket then will stay at my cousin house for free
Consul: Where are your parents?
Me: My mom is here, my dad died when I was 2 years old.
Consul: How many siblings do you have?
Me: 4 brothers, we are 5 and I'm the only girl.
Consul: What does your brothers do and they've been to America?
Me: stated all bros work except youngest who just graduated, none of them been to America
Consul: What does your mother do?
Me: She owns townhouses and low end apartments for rent
Consul: How many?
Me: I stopped for few sec counting lol
Consul: Just give me a rough estimate (laughing)
Me: more or less (xx)
Consul: Hmmm... That's a lot (still laughing)
Consul: So why did you decide to go to US now and why apply only now (something like that lol)
Me: I only wanna go there when I can afford it and not converting everything in pesos if you know what I mean (LOL)
Consul: What is your course in college?
Me: Business Management
Consul: Okay. Your visa is approved
Me: Really?!?
Consul: Yes, wait for it in a week.
Me: Thank you...!

I got a huge clear envelope full of docs, he asked for nothing. Also wonder, he didn't ask for my (ex) hubby coz I'm still married and my daughter. Well iba iba yata talaga. My consul was guy in his 30s, slim, neat hair, looks really nice. The chubby guy consul ask a lot of questions, even looking at super old passports and docs of the family beside me for the euro trip 8 years ago. The girl consul looks friendly too and ask normal questions but she denied like 8 or 9 applicants in a row.
