Anyone experienced applying visa for their 6-mo old baby? I assume an appointment is still needed, same fees etc. but what id like to know sana is if both me and hubby can go to the embassy or one parent Lang allowed? For travel support, would it be best that companion is the one who has higher pay? Dilemma Ko kasi to since hubby earns more than me but I've way longer tenure than him (different company and position naman).
Both me and hubby have 10-yr visas expiring in 2017 pa. We've been in/out of US every other year for vacay and to visit my family based in Cali.
 
I wish I don't have to set an appointment na and priority na lang ang infants

sisses, what if we wrote on our ds-160 application na we are planning to leave on May 6 pero yung next available appointment for interview may 7 na?

edit:
was able to secure an appointment at 6:30 am on April 22nd. Is there a chance na mapaaga pa yan? Is it highly possible na may magcancel and makapagschedule ako ng earlier appointment?

^ possible pa sis. yung sa kakilala ko tinawagan pa sya para iinform na may slot na for earlier sched. ang sched nya nung una 3 months pa sya magwwait, naging 1 week na lang.

Ako naman my parents were actually green card holders who had to give up the green card kasi they decided not to settle in the US na.  Akala nila it would be a problem when they had to get tourist visas.  When my dad and I applied for visas (renewal in my case) last year, the guy who accepted the documents was so surprised at my dad's case...super rare daw yung nag-give up ng green card and then mag-apply for tourist visa after.

first time ko po mag aaply ng u.s. visa, sa true lang wala naman po ako talagang plano, try ko lang luck ko and at the same time, kinukulit po ako ng bff ko na mag aapply na for tourist visa, kasi ikakasal sya sa u.s. this year and isa ako sa kasama sa entourage nya...

balak ko din isama yung 16 y.o. ko na anak, kasi para may kasama ako mejo mahina loob ko sa pagsakay sa airplane eh, hehe...

ask ko lang anong klaseng visa ba ang dapat kong applayan?

noob here, mga sis.  i've had a US visa since bata pa and been there 7 times.  nag-expire last visa ko 2009 and mag apply sana ako ulit this year, but this time with my hubby.  we got married last year.  i think ok naman ang employment status ko kasi 5 years na ako with my company and my sweldo is ok dn siguro (ranging from 40k-45k take home monthly).  ang iniisip ko is my hubby.  kasi wala siyang desk job like me, more on mga small business deals.  for the past year lending business lang ang pinagkaabalahan nya talga.  then may plano siyang i-manage ang properties ng dad nya by june.  pano kaya yun mga sis?  do you think i should apply separately from him or best na kaming dalawa since ang gagawin namin reason is honeymoon kasi totoo naman na wala pa kaming honeymoon since getting married.  i do have family there who are green card holders.  ang worry ko lang is pag tinanong siya kung anong trabaho nya kasi irregular nga.  the first and last time i went to the embassy was when i was a kid and since then renew renew via dropbox lang so hindi ko na alam ang kalakaran ngayon.  and first time ko din mag apply na adult na ako.  TIA!

I believe your application even if you will be interviewed as a family will be examined individually.
Minsan sa isang pamilya, may isang anak na hindi na ggrant ng visa. So yung sa work status ng hubby mo
wont be detrimental to your application. Apply nalang together para at ease kayo pareho and also to show the
consul that you guys are really going for a honeymoon.

When you were 21 years old and above, have you ever visited the USA? or those 7 times you were below
21?

You never know kasi talaga sa US embassy unless you try it. Yung sa application mo, if you have never overstayed in the
US most likely they will give you another visa. Yung sa husband mo, decision na yan ng consul. All you really need to do
is to prove that your husband and yourself will not look for a job there (lalo na your husband) and that you will come back
to the Philippines.

^I agree sis. Samin nga petition pa yon ng dad ko who was a US navy. Samin ng brother ko na-approve yugn automatic citizenship pero sa mama ko na-deny for insufficient documents.

sis vain_kixie -  thanks sa reply mo.  i've been to the US twice since i started working and i've never overstayed din.  ang worry ko lang talga si hubby kasi bank certificate lang if ever ang mapapakita nya.  wala siyang itr for last year.  he plans to find a regular job this month kasi hindi naman masyadong time-consuming yung small negosyo nya.  dun ba sa DS-160 ano kayang dapat niyang ilagay as occupation?

Hubby and I have 10-yr b1/b2 visa that will expire in 2017 pa. After we apply for our 4 mo old baby's passport on apr 29, apply Ko na rin siya ng US visa.

I'm about to purchase a ticket to the US for our annual vacation since my family is there at may early bird promo sale ang delta. I just realized may chance ba na Hindi ma-approve ang baby namin? Syempre if Hindi siya na-approve, we can't leave. Non-refundable ang ticket so Sayang nman.  The promo is until apr 30 Lang and we will no have our baby's visa by then.

Anyone experienced or know someone na same case namin?  Na-approve ba yun baby? Tia!

^yes yung kasama ko nag-apply na mommy. kasama nya toddler nya. approved naman. may tinanong lang na usual questions yung consul =)

^thanks sis! Medyo paranoid Lang cause I'm not sure how the consuls treat applications for infants/toddlers/under age kids. If they consider pa rin the "come from state" of the parents tapos isipin na Hindi na babalik ng pinas. But I think marami din naman naa-approve na family application

meron bang may alam ng mga usual time spans sa pag wait ng green card chaka visa processing, etc? if ever kasi na makarating na parents ko dun, magfile sila ng petition for me and my 2 kids. so si hubby maiiwan dito (hindi pa kami kasi married)

gusto ko sana malaman kung (hope you can answer based on your experiences):

*how long bago ako makakuha ng green card dun?
*pwede ba mag fiancee petition kahit hindi US citizen? if not, how long should i stay sa US to be a citizen?
*how long usually yung processing ng fiancee petition?

we're still torn kasi mga sis whether we should get married before umalis parents ko (then ma-file kami as a family) or magstay muna ko as single (then maiiwan namin siya dito). we want what's the best for the kids kahit na medyo malayo kami for a while. pero kung masyadong matagal parang hindi ko na ata kakayanin

question, my husband and i are planning to get a tourist visa the case is he's working for 5 years and kakakuha work ko lang ulit after 2 years kase may baby kame..what you think? mas okay ba isama namen yung baby namen? he's 2 y/o and pwede ko ba sabihin na housewife lang ako?na hindi ko na ideclare yung work ko ngayon?wala kame ipon pero may house kameng binabayaran..
